A word from The Melting Pot - Arrowhead
The Melting Pot Restaurant is where fun is cooked up fondue style.

Romantic for Couples and Great in a Group.

Our Glendale restaurant is conveniently located in the Arrowhead neighborhood just on 59th Ave. N. just South of the 101 in the Citadelle Plaza.

The modern yet warm casually elegant atmosphere sets the mood for a relaxing evening. The leisurely paced four-course experience begins with a cheese fondue prepared table side. A fresh salad follows while your entrée pot heats up. You’ll simmer a variety of tantalizing meats, seafood and vegetables. Each morsel is hot, fresh and delicious and all entrées are accompanied by an array of dipping sauces to add to the flavorful fun. Chocolate fondue is the finale, all served with decadent dippers. Most make reservations for the four-course dining experience but more than a few have stopped by to satisfy that cheese fondue or chocolate craving. Hand crafted cocktails and great wine list.

Went for Anniversary dinner, which we have done for years, but we were disappointed. The cheese fondue had no flavor and they cut back on the salad portions and the chocolate portions. Appeared to us that they were trying to cut costs while charging the customer the same. Not sure if we will be back.

The menu option we chose had endless options before. Not this time apparently. The server rarely filled out drinks and never offered more than what we requested. Our desert from our 4 course was super small compared to other times as well. This time we had 3 people and 3 times less the amount of chocolate. I am a manager in the industry and was very disappointed. We have been here many times before and had way better service.

The Melting Pot in Arrowhead is a great place for a quiet dinner with your significant other or a group of friends. The service was excellent although we were disappointed that one of the fondues was sold out (it was only 6:45). The dessert course was excellent as always and the Melting pot had an extensive wine list including many local AZ wines. For a nice spot for dinner in the west valley this is a great option.

  • Bad hostess almost ruined it!

I made reservations 5 days in advance for me and my daughter for her 7th birthday. I specifically requested the booth with the curtains, so we could get the privacy and exclusitivity experience. When we got there, a "snippy" young blonde hostess said it would be an hour wait. But, I made reservations 5 days ago?!? She said it would be an hour because I just "requested" a curtain booth. If I wanted one guaranteed, I needed to purchase a "special occasion package" for no less than $175. I informed her I DID purchase a birthday package. She told me that wasn't enough to make the $175 minimum. But, she would seat me now in a curtain booth if I wanted to pay for the package. She said all of this IN FRONT of my 7 y/o little girl! She made me feel like a cheap, unprepared Dad. Question: if she was able to seat me at a curtain booth if I paid the extra money...that means a curtain booth was available, and they were choosing not to seat us there! Trying to salvage some credibility with my birthday girl, we opted for the regular table to be seated promptly. We were talking about our "Daddy/Daughter Date all week. This "hostess" made me look horrible in front of my little girl. My daughter kept asking why I didn't plan ahead with reservations. There was no explanation I could give my 7 y/o that would help her understand that I did plan ahead for our special night together. Luckily, our waitress was great and the bad experience with the hostess was soon a distant memory...FOR MY DAUGHTER. I, however, am still replaying this incident over and over in my head. I ended up spending over $200 for our dinner experience at The Melting Pot, Arrowhead. Looks like I "qualified" for the Special Occasion Package after all...but got none of the perks. If you're going to be a "hostess," know how to properly interact with your customers. Very disappointing start to such a special occasion.

I was so excited to finally try the melting pot but was very unpleasantly surprised! The service was unwelcoming & the food was not high quality or fresh. It tasted like they took it out of a bag and put in on my plate. Everything is pre cut and prepared ahead. At least that's what it tasted like. The chocolate marshmallow dessert fondue was the only part of the meal I enjoyed. I ate it with a spoon bc the sweet dipping treats were stale just like the bread for the cheese fondue was. Couldn't wait to leave! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Dine with a decisive crew because you'll need to decide on one flavor for the table. 4-course dinner will average $40 pp but I suggest skipping the salad and entree courses, and just order the cheese fondue to start and a chocolate fondue to finish. Chocolate was very good, I wanted to drink it. Dessert plate came with bananas, strawberries, pound cake, chocolate brownies with chocolate chips, krispy treats, marshmallows. Everything was very sweet so go easy! If you opt for the add on plate you can also have a small slice of cheesecake, cream puffs, berries, and gateaux. Cheese appetizer came with chunks of brown and white breads, small bowls of veggies, and small bowl of granny smith apples.

We had a truly wonderful evening at the Melting Pot! From the moment we sat down the staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious at each turn through the courses. We started with the bread & cheese platter (choosing to add bacon to our cheese) and salads, then we chose to have both the Sirloin and the Filet Mignon steak entrees followed by a dessert tray with a chocolate and peanut butter sauce with berries. It was mouth watering from start to finish! Devin and his staff went out of their way to make our evening one to remember, and we look forward to returning in the near future! P.S. The noise rating part of this review wasn't working right and would not change, the noise level was very nice.

Four women, two burner table top, endless possibilities!! We went with just cheese and chocolate - and added the italian meats to the cheese fondue for $2.95 per person. What a gem! We weren't busting out of our pants by the end, but we were definitely full. The gluten free selections are great and you don't feel like you are missing out on any of the yummy dippers. It was a great evening with some great friends.

We go every year for our anniversary we go 2-3 times a year here and in okc. Every year it seems you take away the things i love. First zucchini and squash, then cocktail sauce, rosemary bread, now bananas foster. We made (bananas foster) at home and it was so good i was so looking forward to bananas foster and some of the dippers for choc. the rice krispy treats were different our server was nice and we are not complainers but we did order spinach artichoke cheese but told him we love the fiesta and was brought the fiesta. we took it anyways and of course it was great. This time there was just more "aw mans" in my head as we received each course. So I'm thinking next year we will try a new place for our anniversary. We shall see.

We were seated for 10 minutes before we saw a server and when he appeared he was annoyed to have our table. He quickly took our food order and never asked for a drink order... I guess he thought water was fine for us. We did not receive the chocolate we thought we ordered, but finally just ate it with the peanut butter in it since we did not know when we would see him again. We will not come back to this restaurant.

I happened to visit Melting Pot because a Groupon for cheese & chocolate became available. I thought it would be a nice dining experience and it would allow me an opportunity for a quiet & dedicated time to catch up with my very social teenager. I especially enjoy the ambiance and our server was very descriptive with our food choices, yet was respectful of our quality time. Although my child was more excited about the chocolate fondue, we both enjoyed the experience overall and will surely return again!

Was definately something different. For the cost of dining here you really do not get much food (1 baby potato cut in half does not fill your stomach). My husband wasn't too thrilled with having to cook your own food but that is the Melting Pot. I would say that I probably will not go back. It was also very dark and could not see the menu.

I was disappointed to have a reservation at 615 and arrive 10 minutes early to sit and wait for almost 30 minutes to be seated. We checked in when we arrived but the person there clearly was not paying attention because when I went back up to ask what was the purpose of a 615 reservation if we had to wait until 635 to be seated she goes what's your name and what time was your reservation. She finally goes opps sorry about that I will find a table. We spent over 200.00 and this was by far our worst customer services. She had no idea what she was doing and was not very friendly more concerned about her phone and talking to other employes

We have dined at The Melting Pot several times and it is usually a great experience. This time, the food was good but the service was bad. Our server took our plates after the cheese fondue and we waited a half hour for our main entree. We sat in a private booth with curtains and she would open them and then forget to close them. We had to keep closing them every time she came by. She made a mistake on our bill too and charged us twice for something.

My wife and I have always chosen the Arrowhead Melting Pot for our recent date night spot. Our first 2 visits there were truly wonderful experiences. Great service, great presentation, greats aromas, great suggestions, and great food. Our last visit had all of the above, with the exception of service. As our area was far from busy, our waiter seemed less and less interested in serving us as the evening progressed. Simple things that would have made huge differences. Refills on not just drinks, but on dippers as well. His attention to detail seemed to dissipate after our first course. Thankfully, the next time we will remember to request our previous server, James... as we were able to get his name in passing.
