  • "Dad had a birthday dinner- was a great tactile experience for my kids! Cooking for themselves, trying new foods, my son loves shrimp now. My daughter devoured the chocolate fondue.... great time for all- got balloon package so balloons were waiting on the table with a signed card from staff, and bag of chocolate. Picture included too!"

  • "We have been to several Melting Pots across the country, food is always standard across the board. Great place for special occasions. The table was pretty cramped and we had to do musical plates every time we got something new or had to pass the sauces, but that seems to be true of all Melting Pots. Service was great as usual; friendly, attentive and involved, but not too involved. We like that the menu always features something new along with the standard fare. Also liked that you can now pick an individual main entree instead of sharing a large plate. Will definitely come back again."

  • "It's a little pricey, but their private booths and decadant food make for a great date night. Plan on a 2+ hour event when you go. I've never been disappointed with the food at the Melting Pot."

  • "You may or may not like cooking your own food. While it required a bit of mental energy to time the dunk times (potatoes - 4 minutes, chicken and beef - 2 minutes, fish and vegetables - 1.5 minutes) it was overall a fun and unique dining experience, perfect for a special occasion. We ordered two "four-course menus" for four people and it turned out to be more than enough food. The portions are very large."

  • "(April 10th, 2014 7:30pm visit) My husband and I had a great night with great food and fantastic service by both the waiter and the manager. I am a fondue club member and I was able to take advantage of the free cheese fondue in celebration of National Cheese Fondue Day and get chocolate covered strawberries for my birthday. Unfortunately, the bartender that night kept getting into raunchy convos with his patrons and a couple people at a table right behind us. We don't need to hear about women's' "O-Faces" when we are out trying to enjoy ourselves, or ever for that matter."

  • "My family had a lovely meal to celebrate my new job! The fondue is excellent but the portions are big. Come with an empty stomach and know that it's ok to just order cheese and chocolate fondue!"

  • "It'd been a long time since I'd had fondue and this was delicious! The cheese course and the desserts were the best. The main course meat dishes were good, but not as much as the cheese and desserts."

  • "The dinner was yummy. I requested the balloon package which was advertised to come with chocolates, and a digital photo. We never had a photo taken of us. I felt that I was lead in the wrong direction concerning package additions."

  • "Interesting experience in fondue food. I would highly recommend reservations otherwise a very long wait in store. The. Fondly experience takes about two hours for four courses., we had a 815 reservation but we're not seated until 830 and we arrived 30 minutes early! It's a great place for a night of conversation where feeling rushed is nit a weakness of this restaurant. If you are pressed for time, this is not the place for you. Everything is made table side and the ingredients are fresh and tasty as well as the side dips. Brian the server was very pleasant acndvdidva great job of explaining everything."

  • "The portions were decent and the food was good. Two different people asked us if we had enough dippers and they accomodated us having a 6 month hold child. However, we felt very rushed. We were handed a desert menu when we were only half way through our dinner. Also, we were handed the check moments after we got dessert. they didn't even ask me if I'd like a coffee or after dinner drink, they just plopped a check on my table even though we were not even close to done. I would of ordered a drink, but why should I when they try to rush me. Finally, they came by a minute later and gave me a negative look when I decided to actually continue eating my food before I filled out the bill."

  • "We have been frequenting the melting pot for almost a decade. It's me and my sisters favorite restaurant! However, we were so disappointed that they changed the menu A LOT! They got rid of our favorite cheese (Fiesta), changed the bread dippers (too hard), and got rid of the cookies & cream dream chocolate. These are staples for our meal and we were very upset that they are no longer sold. I understand that they want to deliver new experiences/products to their customers but I think the cliche applies "If it's not broke, don't fix it." We told the manger about the disappointment and he was very understanding and said he hopes that they will get them back somehow. Until then, I don't know if we will return as much,."

  • "First time at The Melting Pot for dinner and we had a great time. Family of four had the four-course dinner and all four courses were very good. Alpine cheese, various salads, various meats and seafoods, and the pure chocolate dessert. Server, Tran, was knowledgeable and very helpful. Not inexpensive but worth every penny!"

  • "We're one of those couples who hardly ever has time for a date -- with kids and an older family member at home, countless commitments, etc., our time together is precious. The Melting Pot provided the perfect evening - lots of privacy, a slow-paced meal with delicious food and just-right service, and great ambiance. It was just what we needed!"

  • "Melted cheese and chocolate are awesome. Service was well-intentioned, but not well-trained. When I told the waiter that his mid-course recommendation for cooking stock made my daughter's $15 inedible, I think he said, "Oh." And then he still charged me for the clearly uneaten meal. Not classy. Cocktail waitress could not pronounce "gimlet," (pepper gimlet delicious, btw), and after two tries, said, "whatever" as she handed it to me. Manager did visit table, but was not warm and seemed to be in a hurry to skedaddle-he gives you a card to register your comments on the internet, instead of asking. We still had fun (cheese and chocolate!) On a chain-level, MP sauces are all way sweet and don't particularly compliment the meats."

  • "I hadn't been to Melting Pot in almost 10 years but it was an amazing experience, the food and service was amazing and we had a great time, the only thing that was upsetting was that the Groupon I purchased that I based my trip around couldn't be used on a saturday night."

  • "This is a nice place to experience. The restaurant is pretty large but you don't have see everyone else there the way that it is setup. Love the time that you get interact as well as chat. The food was very tasty."

  • "While the waiters aren't the best in the area, they are good. They are definitely among the friendliest and most helpful and obviously care that you have a good experience. The food is delicious. Fun place to go with a date or a group. Was told that parking is $11 normally, but if you get your parking slip validated it's only $2 (there was someone at the front of the restaurant to make sure that nobody was leaving without getting it validated)."

  • "If you want a place with great food, an interesting experience and good venue to talk this is it. Expect to spend about 2 hours for dinner. A bit expensive but worth it. Service is very good."

  • "This is definitely a restaurant most people will visit for something special. Besides the (admittedly worth it) cost, the food is not something most people would want to eat regularly. Not that the food is bad; quite the contrary -- it's just different. We had never been there before, and the waiter did an excellent job of explaining how to enjoy our meal. Realize that you will cook most of your entree, though realize that's just a matter of putting it into the fondue pot. The ingredients themselves are high quality -- the shrimp, chicken, beef and sausage were all top of the line. Like pretty much any decent restaurant in downtown Arlington, you'll have to pay to park. Fortunately, they validate, and you'll only pay two dollars."

  • "I used to eat at the Dupont Melting Pot. As that location closed, I decided to try the Arlington location. We had a 9:15 reservation but arrived at 9:00. At 9:30, we were still waiting for a table. At about that time, a couple who had been in the bar told a host that they didn't have a reservation but asked if they could get a table. Within a few moments, the couple was seated. Despite standing for more than 30 minutes WITH a reservation, we were seated after. Worse, we were seated at a table adjacent to the bar. We were there on a date but felt that the noise level was VERY loud. Our server clearly knew guests at a table in the bar and loudly joked with them throughout the night. And, we had very long waits between some courses."

  • "Great time at The Melting Pot (Arlington, VA). We had balloons, chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us at our private booth. The Food was fresh and it was fun to "cook" on the fondue table. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and the service was great."

  • "We have been to the one in DC (which is closed now). DC ambiance was better, but overall the Arlington location was very good. Our server was great! I would recommend to my friends."

  • "The service was below average. Our waiter would drop off food and would disappear for >45min to 1 hour. We wanted more vegetables for our fondue, but by the time he returned..."

  • "The Melting Pot was fabulous as usual. We ordered the Wisconsin cheese fondue, California salad, mojo broth, and flaming turtle chocolate fondue and each was delicious. Diners should be aware that the entree for the LivingSocial deal includes fewer meats and is smaller than the entrees listed on the regular menu. That being said, the quantity of food was still more than enough for my date and me."

  • "It was quite a unique experience nothing bad. One visit is enough as I prefer to be served food right away not wait for it to cook. LoL The best part was the dessert, salad & cheese appetizer."

  • "My memories of my last visit to The Melting Pot years ago were of lots of cheese and bread and not much flavor or substance. Either my memory is too faded or they have upgraded their menu because this time was a total delight. We got the 4-course option and the amount of food was just right; that is, we were not stuffed after the cheese course. The flavors were wonderful, the service outstanding, and decent wine list too. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening."

  • "I fell into this site while looking for somewhere romantic for my 25th anniversary and what a GEM!!! I love the atmosphere and the soft slow jams playing for your listening, this really set the tone. I could not have asked for a better way to dine in a romantic way. My husband cooked our meal, the style of sitting at our table and preparing the meats and veggies and cooking everything at the table was awesome and different, we so enjoyed it. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and looking forward to returning to another Melting Pot soon and we have invited others to visit and check out this great way to dine......Love it!!! and thank you."

  • "We got a great sparkling wine to begin, and the food was delicious. Never having done fondue before, I really enjoyed the idea. Getting my choice of 3 meats for a better price than choosing just one was a steal. However, as tasty as the different courses were, I left feeling a little bit hungry. I started to get full towards the end of the chocolate fondue, but I never quite got there. Something to be careful of for hungrier eaters. My girlfriend was full, so less hungry eaters may be fine on that front."

  • "The Melting Pot was a fun experience with a lot of yummy food. Our waiter, Bimal was very patient and kind when explaining how things work. The ambience was very pleasant and romantic. I definitely recommend anyone to visit at least once. You won't be disappointed."

  • "This is the second time this month I have gone to this Melting Pot. I have an annual Gal-entine's Day with my ladies and we went march 2nd. We were a tad late for our reservation and called ahead. We expected to wait a little when we arrived due to missing our reservation, but their service was excellent. We waited 20 minutes to be sat upon arrival and they spent the entire evening making it up to us! The Manager, the hostess, and our server were excellent and gave us a fantastic experience. I went back again two weeks later (this time) and the service was just as great. I used a livingsocial deal and they made it super easy. They were very gracious and service oriented. Joey was my server both times and he is a great! Awesome!"

  • "Made reservations thru OpenTable and table was ready we walked in the door. Food was very good. Waitress was fantastic. It was ladies night we were able to eat for much less than expected. Plan on a couple of hours to eat and enjoy the company of your date."

  • "As always I had a wonderful experience at the Melting Pot. We went during the “Doll Up” ladies night promotion. In addition to a delicious four course meal featuring filet mignon, I received a rose for participating in the promotion and it was only $27 per person plus tax, tips, and drinks. As always the service was exceptional. The waiter was welcoming and a manager even stopped by to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. I was also there celebrating my birthday and as a member of club fondue, I received free chocolate covered strawberries. Since I have celebrated my birthday there for years now, they even included a free meal. Between the customer service, ambiance, and food it really doesn’t get much better than the Melting Pot."

  • "Our reservation was for 8:00pm. We arrived 15 minutes early and didn't expect to be seated right away but we did let them know we were there and on time. At 8pm, we checked back in with the front desk to see if our table was ready. We were told not yet and that wecan sit at the bar while we swaited. I checked back twice and was told they were waiting for people to leave and that they would let us know when our party of two could sit. We didn't sit down until after 8:30pm. I was a little upset but after eating our dishes, my anger began to fade. They have great food and it's very filling but the wait made us irritated in the beginning."

  • "This was my first time at this well-known fondue restaurant. The experience was fun, and the food was good -- I just don't know if I'd go back without a deal. Overall, it just seems too expensive... And, honestly, I thought the ambiance would be fancier! However, were it for a special occasion, that might draw me back in."
