The Melting Pot - AnnapolisOutstanding!!First time there, took my wife there for our anniversary and it was well worth the time and money. The food was very unique and tasty. You sort of cook your own stuff in the table which was pretty neat. The drinks were top quality. Blueberry Margarita was amazing. The dessert at the end was out favorite part. Mostly for special occasions since its a little pricey. Expect to pay between 40-60 a person depending on whether or not you order drinks. I always find the staff friendly, the waiters are phenomenal with great personalities, and the way the seating is designed you get a lot of privacy. We were impressed with the food back then and decided to visit the restaurant in Annapolis for our anniversary. Our memory served us very well. The food selection was better, the wines offered were a great compliment to the food choices, and the service was great. Our server, Elize, was helpful, checked on us periodically but was not rushing us through dinner. We would recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or for that matter just a different dining experience. My only suggestion is to increase the lighting at the tables. The lights are turned down and it is a bit difficult to read the small print on the menus. The only issue we had was our drinks, they were awful. We ordered Mimosas at the bar while waiting for our party and all three of us did not like those. Next at the table we ordered Sangria's and I have to say that was awful and we sent those back. We drink Sangria's on regular and that drink was nothing close to any type of Sangria I have ever had in my life.
All in all the dinner was great, just won't order alcoholic drinks there is all.

The food was good, but I don't feel there was much of the surf and turf there for the price I paid. We were in a group of two, so maybe the portions were cut down from the last time I visited because of that. The only issue that I had was that on the day of our reservation, I received and email regarding complimentary chocolate covered strawberries. We did sit near the door, so it was a bit noisier than a more internal table, but the high booths still give the feeling of a cozy intimate dinner. My husband's soda glass did sit empty twice during the meal, which was a bit annoying considering it was early in the evening and not particularly busy, but other than that - the service was good.
