The Melting Pot - AnnapolisMother's Day DinnerThe food was great, location was great, staff was great.....I would definitely return again with my family and for date night and with friends. The only issue we had was our drinks, they were awful. We ordered Mimosas at the bar while waiting for our party and all three of us did not like those. Next at the table we ordered Sangria's and I have to say that was awful and we sent those back. We drink Sangria's on regular and that drink was nothing close to any type of Sangria I have ever had in my life.
All in all the dinner was great, just won't order alcoholic drinks there is all.

The food was good, but I don't feel there was much of the surf and turf there for the price I paid. We were in a group of two, so maybe the portions were cut down from the last time I visited because of that. The food was excellent and our waiter was very helpful in explaining everything to us. The only issue that I had was that on the day of our reservation, I received and email regarding complimentary chocolate covered strawberries. The email stated that I had to call in advance for them to be made. I called about three hours before or reservation time and was told that everything was fine. We did sit near the door, so it was a bit noisier than a more internal table, but the high booths still give the feeling of a cozy intimate dinner. Our server brought us extra dippers upon request, and was fairly good at checking on us. My husband's soda glass did sit empty twice during the meal, which was a bit annoying considering it was early in the evening and not particularly busy, but other than that - the service was good. We were well taken care of. The price is worth the experience. We enjoyed all four courses. Overall I liked the more personalized dinners but I did miss the larger portions of vegetables in the cheese course and main course. I also very much appreciate my kids were able to order something of their own and didn't have to share with us.
