A word from The Melting Pot - Ahwatukee
The Melting Pot Restaurant is where fun is cooked up fondue style.

Romantic for Couples and Great in a Group.

Our Ahwatukee restaurant is easily accessible from I-10. Take the "E Ray Road" exit off the I-10 and travel 2 miles west into the Ahwatukee Foothills.

The modern yet warm casually elegant atmosphere sets the mood for a relaxing evening. The leisurely paced four-course experience begins with a cheese fondue prepared table side. A fresh salad follows while your entrée pot heats up. You’ll simmer a variety of tantalizing meats, seafood and vegetables. Each morsel is hot, fresh and delicious and all entrées are accompanied by an array of dipping sauces to add to the flavorful fun. Chocolate fondue is the finale, all served with decadent dippers. Most make reservations for the four-course dining experience but more than a few have stopped by to satisfy that cheese fondue or chocolate craving. Hand crafted cocktails and great wine list.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "It was very romantic the waitress checked in on us just the right times and left us be the rest it was great"

  • "Went with a living social deal still ended up spending $100. They messed up on a few major things, on top of over charging us. Won't be back."

  • "I love it there and the service was wonderful. I will eat there again."

  • "The food was great, the service was awesome - I wish I could remember our servers name to give him props for the fine service, but it was a few days ago and it's slipped away. He went out of his way to make sure we were beyond satisfied with our selections."

  • "Have always enjoyed dining here. This time we had a friend who cant eat any gluten with us and they made sure all the ingredients given to us were gluten free. I wouldn't have known the difference by how things tasted."

  • "We had a great time. The food was delicious and the ambience was lovely."

  • "The presentation and service was good. For the price, though the food could be a lot better. Also every time we were given options to try something different the price went up. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone due to the high price and quality of the food. At this price point I would expect much better."

  • "We celebrated our 6 month anniversary by going to the Melting Pot. It was a very romantic atmosphere. We had wonderful service and the food was great. It is dark in there, so if you have a hard time seeing the menu make sure you have your cell phone on hand so you can use the light from it. This is a great place to go for special occasions!"

  • "appetizer cheese fondue was very tasty. the remainder was tasteless. service was above average. perhaps superior.. not likely to return"

  • "I took family there for my wife Bday. It was nothing like what I expected. nowhere on their website was having to cook my own food mentioned. I went there expecting to have a personal chef next to my table; not becoming one. While sitting there, I even witness several customers leaving after their waiter explained process of having to cook their own food. Exorbitant price for amount of "raw" food served. I could have gotten more value by simply cooking dinner at home. Even their chocolate fundue wasn't what I expected. With such model, I wonder how this restaurant stays in business."

  • "And that is what it was, Fun and different. I've been wanting to visit the Melting Pot forever. My Husband does not cook, grill or bake. So this was a treat for me watching him cook his food. It was so nice everything was cut up and lot's to chose from. We plan on going again. The wine was the best "the Dreaming Tree" red blend. It went perfect with our meal. It's not just about the cheese! It's much more! Everyone must try it, just don't be in a hurry to get done with the meal."

  • "The Melting Pot is a consistent place to celebrate a special occasion. Whether a romantic dinner for two or in our case celebrating my sister's birthday! There is something about sitting around a fondue pot that starts the conversation flowing. I never notice that our meals take 2-hours, but I do treasure the time spent. Good food, good company and of course the Chocolate fondue for dessert!!"

  • "We hadn't been to a Melting pot since my husband had been diagnosed with Celiac disease. Well, we were so happy we visited this past weekend. Not only do they have Red bridge beer (which is gluten free) but now they serve gluten free bread with the cheese course if asked. The main course, as always, was wonderful, but we were thrilled to see that there was a gluten free pound cake and brownie option Witt he chocolate fondue. Thank you, Melting Pot, for being so accommodating to our dietary needs. We will happily recommend to everyone who will listen!"

  • "The never ending fondue only applied to the main course and not the appetizer or dessert course. This was dissapointing for a sweet tooth Daddy on Father's Day. The meats measure about 1" x 1" and only brought out at your request and which you request. It felt as though we were almost begging. It's a nice restaurant and the music playing in the background was nice, but I think the restaurant needs to be a bit more giving the portion sizes of their foods especially when they want to charge $40 per person."

  • "We took our 7year old and 11year old with us for a special Fathers Day Dinner. The kids absolutel loved it! Service was wonderful and she handled the kids beautifully. Food was phenomenal! I pretty much rolled out of the door! My only complaint is that it was FREEZING. So, make sure you dress warm!"

  • "This was our first time there and we will definitely return. The food and service was excellent. This a special occasion restaurant. There was a screaming child in the next table, though no fault of the restaurant, but it somewhat ruined the wonderful romantic ambiance of the restaurant. You need to take your time and enjoy the fondue experience."

  • "We were celebrating 36 years of marriage and this was the right spot. Bradley was an excellent waiter and the service was impecable."
    Dined on 6/10/2014
  • "Food was great and the service was fast and attentive. This is a fun place to eat but we suggest you go with enough people to get a table with two fondue pots. Two pots allow you to make a couple of choices on cheese course, cooking oil, and especially chocolate deserts."

  • "After we were seated we waited over 10 min for anyone to acknowledge us for drinks. The people in the booth across from us were drunk and very loud. When out waitress did show up she was very nice but seemed very inexperienced. When we would ask for things like a glass of water, more sauce, more bread for dipping or another drink. She would always say okay but when she would return to check on us she would never had what we had asked for. We may try the Melting Pot again someday but probably not soon. I felt like I paid to much for the experience we received "

  • "The cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue was great and the best part. I wasn't impressed with the main entree. You boil your meat in a broth. The shrimp was good that way but the steak wasn't very good that way. It was fun as a new experience but I don't think it was worth the price. I like it but I don't think I'll go back."

  • "I have never eaten anywhere where the table is enclosed and a drape drawn across the opening so you can have a quiet romantic dinner with your loved one. They also knock before opening the curtain. Awesome!"

  • "Service was phenomenal! The cheese and chocolate at the beginning and end of the experience are the best. I prefer a grilled main course. Melting Pot should bring out flat irons for cooking the meats. Also best suited for small groups - less reaching over each other. Price is excessive so would only recommend for special occasions."

  • "We went at 6:30 where it was rather empty, and enjoyed some quiet time. We feel that the Scottsdale Melting Pot is much nicer looking in the interior. Ahwatukee seems to give a "quickly painted over" vibe. More interesting lighting or some nice fixtures would be nice! Our server was excellent and friendly. We ordered the endless fondue and asked for more mushrooms and dip right away, which we received quickly. This was our 6th time at a Melting Pot, and every previous time the dinner has been flawless. The only problem we had this time was dessert- the dippers was great but the dip we had- Smores- was insufficient for all of the dippers. We ran out of dip 2/3 of the way in. We weren't overdoing it with the dip either! Otherwise- great!"

  • "Me and my wife we both enjoyed the food and service but we were not impressed by ambiance. We could hear loud voices from kitchen and cleaners started cleaning in front of us and not in a nice way. Waiter sprayed cleaning solution and i could see it splashing over on my table. keep that aside food was amazing."

  • "My experience here was great! I went for a romantic birthday dinner. The food and wine and service was wonderful, but there was one thing that I really disliked- the seating arrangement. We were directly facing another couple! Like, head on facing them! That was awkward and weird. We are a gay couple and I felt like I couldn't be "affectionate" (on my romantic birthday dinner night!) in case it would make our guests across the way uncomfortable. We got used to it eventually, but I will not come back here unless we have a private table. Note: expect to pay $50 a person just on food. It's worth it for a nice, intimate dinner with great food and desert though! Overall a really nice experience. :)"

  • "Melting Pot is my absolute favorite! Food, service, and atmosphere is always excellent! I didn't think I would find one as great as Pittsburgh, but Ahwatukee MP is above all the rest! Thank you as always!! :-)"

  • "Lack luster 4 course meal. Especially the meager salads with honey mustard dressing. Entrees were over priced for the size and quality. If you go, cheese fondue and dessert are your best bet. It was a special occasion for my fiance and I, i let the staff know and nothing special was done. Service was ok, nothing special. It's an ok place that does not live up to the hype."

  • "Took my girlfriend here for our 1-year anniversary. Loved the table with a curtain idea (that's new, in Indianapolis they didn't have that) and that they obliged to putting a rose and rose petals on the table. Our server was excellent and the food was very good. Good experience. "

  • "We had so much fun at The Melting Pot. We had been there before, but our friends had not. We had a great time sharing this adventure with them."

  • "Great service! Great food! Tad bit loud though due to the acoustic setup here. Also not a fan of folks who feel the need to bring really young children that yell and scream and bash their iPads on the table and parents do nothing about it. Ideally spending over 100.00 here for two is a given.. So loud patrons please go elsewhere"
