The staffs' attention, makes luncheon a seemingly, effortless bliss.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe chose La Valencia becauseWe chose La Valencia because it seemed like the perfect place to have breakfast with some out of town family members -- beautiful, serene, elegant and sure to have fine food and great service. Everything was indeed perfect, except for the serene part. The construction (and destruction) of the famous and beloved Whaling Bar was sad to be around, and a huge noisy table of about 15 energetic and boisterous Brazilians (is there any other kind?) was sort of holding the dining room hostage. No one could hear anything, and even the waiters and hostess said they couldn't hear themselves think....
