  • "Totally enjoyed our dinner, my husband got the beer chicken which was fantastic!!! I ordered the special of two soft crabs over a squash mix, that also was fantastic!!! I can't wait to go back !!! Our server, Lee, could not have been any better, great service!!!"

  • "We had not been to Manor Tavern in many years. We went with a group of friends. The service was excellant. Our waitress was attentive. The fried calamari was fabulous. The sauces were an ehancement but not necessary. I was a little disappointed as they were out of salmon (it was still relatively early, 7:30) so I ordered the crab cake. I have had better crab cakes elsewhere. They were bland. Others at the table loved their food which included gumbo, the pork chop and the eggplant sandwich. We would go back, but I would not order the crab cakes."

  • "Good food in a lovely setting. Looking forward to seeing the continued upgrades at The Tavern. The outdoor porch is perfect."

  • "Just minutes from local farms and wineries, this little restaurants quality of food was surprising. They pride themselves on using locally grown (some on the premises) food. The atmosphere was casual but elegant. My only wish would be for this restaurant to showcase more wines from the local vineyards, there were only a few. The food was great, the service was very good as well. They sat our table of four right next to the fireplace.. what a wonderful evening."

  • "I've been a frequent visitor over the years to The Manor Tavern. Within the last year, I had a couple of disappointing experiences, which Shawn, the GM, took great pains to rectify and compensate for. My most recent visit was with a female companion. The service was wonderful, sitting at an outside table was very romantic on a less crowded weeknight, and the food was superb! Everything was perfectly prepared from the hot crab dip to the beautiful soft shell crabs, which was one of the specials. The crème brulee, which we shared was as good as one could ask for. It was a great dining experience! Jess B"

  • "The staff is knowledgeable, the prices are reasonable, the food is excellent and the atmosphere in the winter with fireplace going is great. Shiner."

  • "As ususal, the dinner we had was really good. The staff was pleasant, warming and very efficient in taking care of us. One of my favorite dishes is the Beet Salad which is always fresh and tasty. However this time instead of having a couple of sliced beets, the beets were thinly cubed and difficult to find. The Green Tomato Oscar was fabulous. Otherwise, everything else was perfect. Thank you for another fine dining experience and we will be back."

  • "Our evening at Manor Tavern was exactly what we expected - good food, attentive but not aggressive staff, quiet enough to be able to get acquainted. We'll be back!"

  • "We had our 50th wedding anniversary there on the 24th of May. Terry our coordinator did everything promised and supervised our entire event. We went to dinner, again to reaffirm how much we enjoyed our selves."

  • "We had drinks at the bar outside on the porch, then went in to dine. My wife had soft crabs which was the seafood special. My sister-in-law had pork. I had the meat special for the evening: bison with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I had Prigel's homemade ice cream for dessert (a scoop of chocolate, a dip of cinnamon). The food is either raised or caught locally. The atmosphere is manor-like. The restaurant is in the Maryland Hunt Cup country. Have to say the service was timely, unobtrusive, friendly. Superb evening."

  • "We really enjoyed being able to sit outside on their terrace. We indulged in the new menu which is divine! The crispy brussel sprouts and spinach & feta dip appetizers are a must try! Service was wonderful as always! The staff at The Manor Tavern is always so friendly & accomodating. And they are all so excited about all of the new improvements there! We walked thru their garden, which is a pleathora of greens & herbs that they are using in the kitchen. And don't forget to check out the bees! They added 2 bee houses this spring, which we are told that next year they will be using the honey in the kitchen!"

  • "Chef Travis & his team have done it again! Another outstanding menu change! Bison Osso Buco,Shrimp & Quinoa Risotto(gluten-free), & Fresh Turkey Burgers are all new additions, not to mention that all of the salad greens & herbs are being picked fresh out of The Manor's Garden every morning! All of the desserts are made in their kitchen by their own Chef Carm (nothing is store bought) & the ice cream comes from local creameries. The outside terrace is gorgeous & Renovation started recently for the new Wine Bar, & the new dining room should be open by early June! Service remains outstanding! Our family LOVES the NEW MANOR TAVERN and is so thankful for the New Owners & Management. Keep up the GREAT work Jim, Sean & Chef Travis"

  • "Everything about our (anniversary) was just about perfect. Our waitress and Karen, the hostess, could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and wine flights were well thought out. An absolutely delightful afternoon. "

  • "We have been patronizing The Manor Tavern for more than 25 years, through many transformations. Living a few miles from the spot makes it not only convenient but a neighborhood treasure. The menu has many wonderful new features with herbs and fresh salad items from the garden "out back". Local farms supply many of the menu items and further accomplishes the community feel of the neighborhood place to go.The bison steak was terrific and spinach salad fresh! We look forward to many more great meals."

  • "My request for a quiet table with a seasoned waiter was accommodated. I expected the crab cake to be outstanding...and was quite disappointed. Too much filler."

  • "Enjoyed dinner, server was very good, friendly, knowledgable. Would have preferred a different table, our table was directly in the path to the kitchen.....didn't enjoy the constant traffic of the servers passing our table during dinner. Will I be back, yes, but will ask not to be seated at that table."

  • "What a waste of a location, we sat outside and were so looking forward to fresh food (as advertised). Unfortunately, our waitress was hurried and unpleasant. We were clearly bothering her by being there. The food was greasy, unappetizing, and definitely not fresh. The bison sandwich was a sloppy stew between 2 slices of ordinary bread with a side of ordinary mash. The beet salad was swimming in a pool of oil. Dreadful. Overpriced. "

  • "Haven't been here in a while. Food was greatly improved. I would definitely return."

  • "Had the eggplant powerhouse sandwich and the cream of crab soup. Both selections were superb."

  • "The menu was full of wonder ful options, using locally sourced meats, veggies and more. The menu offers options for everyone - fish, sandwiches, burgers, beef, chicken and even bison. "

  • "I was disappointed in this visit to Manor Tavern. The restaurant was rather empty, but the service was lacking. Drinks waited way too long to be refilled and the server never checked to make sure our food was OK. I asked for a Black Angus Manor Burger, cooked medium. Instead it was closer to well done and dry. The roll was much too soft and somewhat sweet. It just didn't belong with a hamburger. I've had far better burgers at a much lower price. "

  • "All of the food at Manor Tavern is absolutely outstanding . We have never had any dish that is any less. The menu has something got everyone no matter what you are in the food for. The atmosphere is excellent-relaxed, comfortable and special. We are so impressed with Manor Tavern that we are having our daughter's Wedding there in October and know it is going to be awesome. We have become regulars. Dinner be $$$ but worth it! Lunch is fantastic and priced is reasonable."

  • "Great food and great service! Try the Beer Can Chicken or the Fried Pork Chop - both are drool-worthy. The Gentleman's Fig (cocktail) is a must have! If you want real/local farm-to-table, this is the place to go! Most of the ingredients are farmed on site or within just a few miles."

  • "This restaurant has been through a change of ownerships over the last few years. They have finally gotten it right.... on many levels. Food continually has been consistent and excellent. using local meats/poultry and grow some of their own produce right out the back of the restaurant. Salad with their own greens was phenomenal! Manager stopped to check on us, waitress was good."

  • "Exceptional dining experience from beginning to end in every aspect."

  • "We wanted to love this restaurant, but the food was not great. Our breakfast potatoes were old (dry and ricey), cornbread was not cooked through, soup was bland. Basically, the brunch items seemed like they had been prepared early in the morning, left out, warmed for two minutes and then served later in the day. Bleh. Maybe we got the chef on an off day. The service, however, was excellent and the atomosphere was cozy. We might give it a try for dinner; brunch may not be their thing."

  • "My family loves eating at Manor Tavern. Not only is this a jewel in the beautiful country side it is a beautiful restaurant inside and out. The management and staff are very skilled and friendly. The food is superb. Freshly grown from their garden or local farmers. One of my favorite places to relax and enjoy an outing with family and friends."

  • "I am glad we gave the Manor Tavern a second try. We must have hit a bad night on our 1st visit. This time service was perfect, we were seated promptly and the menu offered a varied and enticing selections. It was truly an enjoyable dining experience. Portions are more than ample and we were too full to enjoy deserts."
    Dined on 3/27/2014
  • "The appetizers were the best part of this meal. We had the Ahi Tuna, Crispy Calamari and BBQ Beef sliders. The beet salad was just ok, nothing out of the ordinary, but good. The entrees were good as well, crabcakes, pork chop (least favorite) and rockfish special (small filet with shrimp). There was nothing that would make this restaurant stand out in a crowd, but the food was good, service fine (even though it was a very busy night) and we were satisfied. That's what it's all about, right?"

  • "My wife and I dine out about twice a week and "the Manor" is by far our most frequently visited spot. The new ownership and new management have done a really fine job ---- we like the menu; the servers are friendly but professional, and Sean always stops by to say hello and make sure that we are enjoying our experience. There is a real wood fireplace (two of them, actually) which my wife likes during these frigid months; in the warmer seasons they have a wonderful garden where they source their herbs and vegetables. Old timers will remember when "the Manor" was quite good and then went into a long, slow decline (we stayed away for a couple of years) but the new owners have really made it an inviting and enjoyable place again."

  • "After several years of not going to Manor Tavern, we learned of new owners and improved facility. Both times in 2014 my food has been excellent--fish and chips, gumbo, eggplant powerhouse sandwich. Each time a guest (different ones) has ordered the beer can chicken sandwich and gave only a polite "it's good" to my inquiry of how it was. One said chicken was tender but lacking in flavor. There was a large group this week. The servers were focused on them, so our service was slow. A huge issue was the cost of the hot tea. We asked for refills and got hot water only. When the bill came, we saw that each teabag rang up at $3! That's insane and annoying. At the least provide a new tea bag--or at least offer one--at refill time!"

  • "This restaurant was a great find for a somewhat fancy dinner. It is fairly expensive but the food was very delicious. The staff seemed to have a great time interacting with the guests and cared about our experience. This would be a great special night out, but not an every weekend place to dine just because of the prices."
