The setting itself is beautiful in horse country surrounded by rolling fields. It has the feel of an old country inn. The food was outstanding. We had a variety, from specialty salads to shrimp salad to the special of the day and everything was very good. It was a monstrous serving of meatloaf wrapped in layers of bacon atop a mound of mashed potatoes. The mussels were enjoyed by all at our table. The crab cakes were very mediocre, little taste and dry. The short ribs were a hit. Our waitress provided the best service, even bringing out a piece of cake with candles as we were celebrating my son's birthday. She really enhanced an otherwise mediocre dinner. The food and service were fantastic - Tracy could not have been more attentive. Our table had a variety of foods -brunch, salads and sandwiches - everything was great. We enjoyed a quiet and relaxed visit complemented by friendly and outstanding service topped off by an excellent lunch. As we lingered over dessert and conversation, our server was attentive and unobtrusive. We have always been pleased with our visits there.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
