  • "Had a great afternoon brunch with my friend. Food was great good variety. Excellent staff."

  • "I'm a Manor regular and as always the food and selections are fantastic so much so to the point that my picky 10 year old tried things that I never dreamed he would ever try and liked them. Waitstaff was too busy oogling and commenting on female guests to be attentive to their tables"

  • "Food was excellent, waitstaff very attentive. Excellent special occasion place."

  • "We went to the lobster buffet to celebrate a milestone birthday and anniversary with our best friends. We had a lovely time. Atmosphere was wonderful, the wait staff was superb and the food was excellent. If you go you HAVE to try the Mango Martini that they offer, out of this world! All of the food was fresh and delicious. You can't beat the seafood selection and the dessert table..... I would highly recommend The Manor to anyone."

  • "I have been here before so I recommended it to my co workers and we came as a group and everyone loved it - even our vegetarian. I wouldn't change a thing."

  • "I surprised my boyfriend with dinner at The Manor's famous lobster buffet. We both loved it. The place is gorgeous and super elegant. The food and service were superb. I highly recommend The Manor to all!"

  • "Foods were okay in general, especially steamed lobsters were very good, they are not too salty. But all employees there were never friendly or smile to customers, their faces look like saying 'I do not care about customers'. Some waiters looks even cocky. Unpleasant experience at such a high priced buffet restaurant."

  • "Been here several times and it's always great. Was sad to see that Open Table doesn't give points for the reservation."

  • "Three of us went to the lunch buffet. It is the best buffet always, consistenly very good. I go to this lunch buffet at least 3 or 4 times a year. Also, some refurbishing has been done to the lobby. It is very nicely painted and has a new energized look. I have loved the Manor for almost 50 years. Keep up the good work."

  • "Went for Sunday Buffet. Lots of choices, nothing was bad & nothing was great. Atmosphere is classy 60's. For the amount & type of food offered ,shrimp, oysters, omlettes, prime rib, lamb, caviar, tortellini alfredo, to name just a few plus at least 20 desserts it's well worth the $$. Service is first rate."

  • "This place needs an upgrade! ! The food was ok it seems like old cruise ship Capitan dinner. The lobster was not the main attraction I thought there would be more lobster dishes for a lobster buffet. The coffee was good but not a fan of this place."

  • "as usual, the most incredible buffet anywhere, well worth the money. i just cant understand why a great place like this cant seem to employ friendly reception personnel who might go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome. the short and often rude demeanor of the greet staff is a huge turnoff. once you've gotten past the door, your in for an amazing dinner."

  • "My boyfriend and I went for our Valentine's date. It was a very nice time! The food was very yummy. We felt like we were being taken care of by the staff, constantly filling up our water glasses and asking if we were okay. Only negative is that we got full too fast! haha"

  • "If you love lobster and shrimp, then I would recommend it. If not, the cost might not be worth it, especially on a Saturday which is more expensive than during the week (spent about $185, buffet cost plus, bottle of wine, and tip). Mixed feelings about the other buffet items. Enjoyed the roast beef, lobster bisque, seafood scampi. Unhappy with the sushi and the dessert selection. Service was pretty good considering it is a buffet. The waiters do a good job of clearing plates from the table. This is my 3rd or 4th visit, but we only go once every couple of years on a special occasion."

  • "From the valet stand, to the coat check , to the head waiter, to the wait staff' there was nothing lacking in fine customer care. The buffet was laden with delicious seafood and meats, cheese, breads, vegetables and pasta. The special is, of course, the lobster and prime rib. You could choose from a rare cut to a more well done portion. The buffet was constantly being updated so each dish was always fresh. Highly recommended for a special occasion."

  • "I can honestly say we had a wonderful time. Nothing bad to say!"

  • "The first lobster they bought out was not good. It was in like a salad. The second lobster buffet was very good; lobster tails with drawn butter etc. My main reason for coming was for the lobster buffet. That is your marque dish. The salad could be improved: should include fresh tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, avocado etc. There were oysters on the half shell; should have been clams too. Squid, mussels and scallops should be included. Blueberry pie and pudding/tapioca would improve the desert choices. Overall I like the restaurant (Wednesday Lobster Buffet) but you charge a high price, which is not bad but you must make it worth the price. I attended a wedding reception there years ago. I suppose the outdoor areas are still there and"

  • "It was wonderful place on a special occassion to be romantic. The lobster buffet has everything your heart desires. Besides the lobsters, it has shrimp, chilled blue point oysters, and other items to many to mention. The service is wonderful and very helpful. I would go back again. You must go there very hungry to enjoy everything. They also have fantatic desert bar. All I have to say is Bon Appetit and Enjoy!"

  • "We've been to The Manor's fine dining buffet several times over the years, most recently went on Thursday, Feb. 6. Had to write that it's so good every time that you anticipate it for days, you get there, and you are bowled over all over again. It's not just that there is so much food so beautifully presented: the ice sculpture, the ice bed of shrimp, 3 or more choices of lobster dishes, carving stations for lamb, beef, and turkey, not 1 delicious soup but 2 (the mushroom soup was my favorite of everything there), it's that EVERYTHING is absolutely delicious. And if you like desserts, I don't know how you save room for them! I'm going to take my company for the fine dining buffet as a treat that everyone will love."

  • "with less than full dining room which was great, the food was terrific except for the prime rib which was dry, tough, and over cooled"
    Dined on 2/6/2014
  • "Celebrated my 60th birthday there. Have been going since I was in my twenties so you can tell I find the quality to have remained consistently high over the years."
    Dined on 1/30/2014
  • "I have been going to the manor for over 30 years. The buffet food selection and quality had drastically deteriorated. Even the turkey, lamb and beef on carving table was over cooked and bland. Lobsters appeared not to be very fresh with the tail meat breaking apart and not staying in one piece. For a high end food establishment it appeared that no one was monitoring and evaluating the food that was being served. Further many of the cooked entree's ingredients appeared to be recycled seafood from raw food serving platters. The variety was also lacking as compared to what it use to be. Same reevaluation is needed for the dessert selection. Disappointing!"

  • "Don't know why....but it had been quite a while since we'd last been there....years in fact...but it was even better than we remembered. Attended the Buffet Dining on a Sunday afternoon. Not only was the food and service simply outstanding, but the ambiance and the grounds are just magnificent. The Manor pleases the senses in every way. Looking forward to our next visit. It won't be long before we go back again..and bring more friends along. Many thanks to The Manor for being so terrific !"

  • "My husband and I recently got married in November 2013, and his birthday was fast approaching. I wanted it to be special since it was our first. He was overwhelm by his birthday surprise dinner. He is still boasting about the great time he had, and the food was excellent. He will never forget this evening."

  • "Bought my wife to the Manor for her birthday on 1/11 (which btw the address is 111) and our 2 girls. My girls chose to do the Dinner buffet which includes lobsters. My wife and the girls totally enjoyed the spacing and all the food. With the way they stagger the seating times, it made it quite enjoyable for a buffet style where it was never any lines. Waiters were quite attentive where we sat."

  • "After dining at the Manor i was so disappointed.. I used to come here a long time ago on all special occasions. The food was so good .. Besides the great staff and ambiance of the place the food has went down the drain.. There used to be more of a variety of food.. The first batch of lobter was cooked perfectly. After that they were over cooked which makes tbem taste very milky. The oysters even thou they tasted so fresh they were not cleaned properly.. There was a plethora of food but the it was on no level worth the price that was paid.. Over the years it has completely changed... Ten years ago the Manor would have gotten 5 stars all aound tbe board. But now the only get 2 for great service and ambiance!!! DISAPPOINTED!!"

  • "The Manor's seafood buffet (with lobster) is pricey but worth it. The room is gorgeous and elegant, the service is attentive, and the buffet is extremely lavish. The hit of the show is definitely the all-you-can-eat lobster (not available on Sundays) and the jumbo shrimp. There are many other fish, shellfish, meat, and pasta selections - as well as carving stations - but some items are soaking in sauces and the quality across the selections is inconsistent. However, if you love lobster and shrimp- the buffet is way more than satisfying. It is a marvelous place to go for any celebration or special occasion."

  • "Went to the 12:30 Sunday Brunch. The dining room was half full. Upon arriving, the waiter never introduced himself or asked if we would like a drink. Twice, dishes were not cleared. Only after I commented on the poor service did we get some service. Hot coffee was poured into a half cold cup of coffee! Requested a clean cup. The cakes on the dessert table looked and tasted dry! Worst, there was an automatic 20% tip on our bill. This was a terrible dining experience! After many years of dining at the Manor, we were surprised and shocked at the very poor service and quality of food! Would NOT recommend."

  • "While the service was very good, the quality of the food had a lot to be improved upon. The beef tenderloin was dry despite being smothered in gravy. The Orchiette pasta was like glue and overall the quality of food was not worth the price of admission. Overall, I would have expected much more from "The Manor.""

  • "We both enjoy the décor very much and the menu selections. The buffet is elegant with many choices. the staff is attentive and courteous. They are not intrusive but respond quickly when needed. Even tho there is a time constraint for the buffet, we did not feel rushed and we had plenty of time to enjoy all aspects of it including the deserts. I have dined all across the US and through out Europe, I can say that the Manor rates near the top of the list of 4 & 5 star resturants that I have been in, Keep up the great work and keep NJ proud."
