Food was Excellent, Friendly Staff! A must try for the whole family!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat as always!Such a wonderful place. The food and service is always great.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a pleasure to dine thereWe come here for Sunday brunch as often as possible. My 8 yr old chooses this place over kid places for her birthday every year for the last 3-4 years, and I do the same. This time, we did my Mother's Day a week early, since the restaurant is so popular, it's already booked for Mother's Day.
Great waiter, who made sure I had refills on the mimosas, and my daughter loves the chocolate mousse, which they had this visit. Only 1 visit did they not have this for dessert, always our fave.
Even my parents love this place, in winter, nice to get a table by the fireplace.
Best boneless buttermilk fried chicken.....
I recommend to all - recommended to my mechanic and he brought wife who loved!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOur Server John was engagingOur Server John was engaging and attentive. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was charming and very southern. We travel to Savannah frequently and felt like we were in a restaurant down there. Bonus to them for using local produce and meats...plus they have a herb garden out back. Great evening. We will be back soon.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMI was looking for a nice,I was looking for a nice, quiet place to take my wife for our anniversary dinner. I also wanted it to be a surprise. This was our first visit and we were not disappointed.
The menu has a smaller selection than your average restaurant, but this allows for more quality fare. My wife had the Chicken Gourmand and I had the Coffee Encrusted Bistro Steak. Both meals were perfectly prepared and delicious.
Our waiter, John, provided excellent service throughout our meal.
We have found the new "special occasion" restaurant to replace our former go-to place that closed. Magnolia Thomas is a gourmet experience that won't break the bank.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful as always! One of the best brunches around. Always wonderful! Highly recommended.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMOnce the restaurant was fullOnce the restaurant was full it was so loud that it made it hard to hear others across the table.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe menu was interesting andThe menu was interesting and everything sounded great. The wait staff was excellent , very concerned and checked on how we were enjoying our evening. Can not say enough good things about the restaurant , location, were gladly welcomed and showed us to our table. Parking was nearby and very accessible. We have seen the restaurant for many years, and friends were always telling us how great it was ...... finally we went for our anniversary, and it was grand.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service! WeGreat food and service! We were there for brunch and it was all very nice until the check arrived. Were a bit surprised at the cost of the lunch buffet at over $30 each for the buffet plus coffee or tea.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinning experience.Great dinning experience. We keep going back because of the friendly atmosphere and the great food. Good choice for family dining3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMMagnolia doesn't disappointThis was our fourth visit to Magnolia Thomas. I love the quaintness of the restaurant and the over all atmosphere. It is elegant without being stuffy. The wait staff is young, fun and sweet. They have been well trained and know how to handle problems (I knocked over my water.). The food we ordered (twice salmon and twice filet) could not have been more delicious. Beyond the taste was the presentation. This s the type of restaurant you find in Charleston.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent RestaurantThe food & service were excellent as always. We always enjoy our meals when we go there!!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this placeWe had reservations and were seated without delay after being warmly greeted. Our waiter was attentive and polite. My Blueberry Mountain Filet was cooked perfectly and served hot. My wife loved her Cherokee County Chicken Poblano. The bread was uneventful. The spinach salad was wonderful with the warm raspberry bacon dressing.2/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe ate at The Magnolia ThomasWe ate at The Magnolia Thomas Restaurant for the first time and really enjoyed it! The fried green tomato appetizer was one of the best we've had at any restaurant and the tomato basil soup was awesome! The salads were great and entrees including the fried chicken and scallop and shrimp special were delicious! I definitely recommend this restaurant and we will go again! Service was great!2/22/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious!A very good southern cuisine restaurant! We had the fried green tomatoes to start off and I had the fried chicken for my entree. Both were delicious! We will definitely be going back. If there was one thing to mention - which really isn't all that big of a deal since everything was awesome, but our server was really loud. I don't know if he's just used to having diners that are 65+ or if he is hard of hearing, but every time he came to our table it was as if he was TALKING LIKE THIS! I'M NOT REALLY SURE WHY HE WAS TALKING SO LOUD, BUT IT MADE THE EXPERIENCE QUITE COMICAL.2/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
