A word from The Madison Bar and Grill

The Madison Bar and Grill is filled with an ambiance and class that is usually reserved for Manhattan eateries. The formal dining room is cleverly decorated in a 1940s style reminiscent of a chic roadside inn. The décor works an evocative, magical mood, with bare wood floors, wainscoted walls, soft… lighting and subtle touches from a bygone era. Patrons can also enjoy The Madison’s eclectic American Cuisine at the bar, or, from May through November, outdoors in an al fresco cafe that wraps around the street corner. Be sure not to miss The Madison’s Weekly Events, including the Sunday Jazz Brunch, First Seating, Tuesday Night Martini Madness, Thursday Taco Night and Endless Happy Hour. The restaurant also offers Private Parties and Off-Premises Catering. "Second time here. Great atmosphere, energetic, nice bar with a DJ. Dining area, granted still energetic, is calmer and you can sit down and enjoy a conversation without a problem. Very good service. We had oysters, various salads and their grouper, which was very lightly fried: I'm not into fried foods, so not sure I'd order it again, though it was it was very tasty."

"There seemed to only be one waitress covering a large area making the service slow however she was working hard , did her best. It actually worked out because we didn't feel rushed or hasseled. I would def. recommend it as well as return."

"We've been to this restaurant many times and every time has been a treat. The staff is the perfect cross between professional and friendly, and the food is great. We have made it our mission to compare calamari from many NY / NJ /CT restaurants and we have yet to find any nearly as fresh and tasty. I have never had a bad time at the Madison!"

"Went for valentine's day and wasn't expecting the pre-fixe menu which was a little bit of a disappointment. Food was good as always but we were really looking forward to getting some things we got last time and I didn't think the $55 price tag was worth it."

"Solid food. Went for restaurant week, and was good enough to return. Nothing spectacular but everything was satisfying. The menu is eclectic, with a bunch of different choices for your meat eaters, vegetarians, and the like. Tuesdays are half priced Martini's!"

"we always find it interesting how The Madison is able to keep the dining room so isolated from the bar area. when we're in the mood, we love to venture to the bar area and listen to the great dj play every genre possible. however, there are nights we don't want to hear any "noise" and find it interesting despite the proximity of the bar to the dining room, it's never intrusive. food is wonderful. tuna tartar was fresh and wonderful. fresh blended blueberry martini was great. not filled with syrup. my fiance loved his porkchop dish."
