The Mad GreekNot too busy for Mothers DayNot too busy for Mothers Day lunch; probably didn't need a reservation. Host was indifferent, but server was friendly. Food was excellent Good variety on the menu including many vegetarian options.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe both purchased items offWe both purchased items off the Indian portion of the menu, and they were delicious -- vegetable coconut curries. The serving sizes are generous. The service is excellent -- our waitress was very friendly, and the other staff greeted us warmly as we arrived and left.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMI will return here becauseI will return here because we loved the food and excellent service! The mezzo sampler was delicious and and ample...we had to take half of our entrees home! The gyro platter with roasted red potatoes and vegetables was awesome as was my chicken souvlaki. Both were still delicious the next day. They also have a creative list of martinis, I tried the fig which was very tasty.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe waiter we had that nightThe waiter we had that night was definitely one of the very best we've ever had anywhere. He was very helpful, cheerful and polite. He really seemed to enjoy his job. The food was excellent Greek cuisine. We thought it a bit odd that the restaurant charged extra for pita bread on the side. No rolls came with our salads or dinner. Knowing that many people waste food I don't blame them for charging; it just seemed strange. We were not advised that it would cost extra when we asked for some bread.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable meal.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth the drive from the west sideThis was our third time dining at the Mad Greek and must say they are consistently above average on the food quality and quantity and the service continues to be just average. It took the waitress almost 20 minutes after we sat down to get our drink orders and for sure we missed getting a warm greeting from her. In fairness she did have a good number of tables going and did eventually warm up but to me it's first impressions that count. You MUST try the saganaki, it's worth every bite and great for sharing with your table. Beware the portion sizes are huge, we had enough for another dinner when we were done eating.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was fantastic. WeThe food was fantastic. We enjoyed lamb shank, fisherman's stew, and flat iron steak. The waiter was very friendly, but the service overall was a bit slow. it was probably due to the fact that we were there on a Saturday night.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
