When you name your restaurant after Trappist monks who've spent centuries perfecting their craft, you're serious about your beer. That's why we hired a master to craft our house brews and why our beer list spans the globe. With everything from refreshing pilsners that match the lightness of our thin-crust pizza to dark, rich ales that stand up to our decadent burgers, you're certain to find a new favorite at The Lucky Monk. We're sure that our Prime beef burgers — served with hand-cut fries — will be the juiciest you've ever had. Our other house specialty is pizza. It is crisp and generously topped with fresh ingredients. And we round out our menu with vibrant, flavorful salads; a handful of classic, satisfying American entrées; and some sweet surprises.

Whether you're settling in at our bar or relaxing with your friends and family in our comfortable dining room, our delicious food, drink and warm welcome are sure to elevate your soul.

Give me a Bears Monday night game, our wedding anniversary, and Lucky Monk any day. Maybe not the most romantic thing to do, to watch Da Bears and have wings and fish & chips, but our anniversary fell on a Monday. We had the weekend to celebrate ...we just wanted to go somewhere to grab a perfect martini or two (perfectly dry, no ice chips, didn't overdo the vermouth to save on gin) and let the kids be entertained. Dan aka "Red" was our server...Excellent. Never needed to ask for anything, he knew what we needed and just did it. Everything was prompt, clean, chill. Only complaint would be the TV's were smaller in the middle section, compared to the bar area, which I had reserved. But the martini's made up for it five fold.

We really enjoyed the Lucky Monk. Our server, Jackie, was amazing. She was so attentive to us but not overly attentive to the point of annoying. She was great with refills and checking in with us even though she was super busy. The food was delicious. My husband had the grilled cheese burger and I had the skirt steak. Will go back but you must have reservations.

this is a great neighborhood place. We come often for lunch or dinner. They have the best burgers, with all kinds of toppings. We tried the turkey burger for the first time and it was excellent. We have been to Lucky Monk before; sometimes there is good service and sometimes not so good. This was a not so good time. We were a party if five. We ordered appetizers, drinks and water. The appetizers came, but we had no plates to eat them on. Some in our party were drinking water and had to keep asking for refills. We ordered a diet soda but got a regular soda instead. They were all little things, but things that ruin a special occasion because you kind of wish you just stayed home. The food was good. They have issues there with consistently good service. Our experience is that most times the service has been bad.

i have gone there before with a large group and a couple of us had the fish..very good. This time waiter who served us looked like the actor edward norton but with dark hair..even sounded like him. He was attentive and earned a good tip... even came back to our table and thanked us. We had fried cheese curds which i have never had before..but are like mozerella sticks. Place is known for their burgers...3 of the 4 of us had burgers one had the chicken salad. Two of us had the onion string tumbleweed with our meal.

Lucky Monk is a favorite of my boyfriend's and mine. We dine there often and each time it’s a great experience. I love their Corn Chowder - it’s got the perfect bit of spice and is really one of the best I've ever had. Their appetizers are also all great! I usually opt for the Trio, which is a great mix of fried pickles, cheese curds and their truffle fries. They also have amazing Calamari – served with jalapenos and a nice spicy sauce. If you’re a burger fan, you can’t go wrong at Lucky Monk! And if you like beer – you’ll have plenty to choose from. Not to mention it’s pretty much in the same parking lot as the movie theater so it makes a great place to get some food before a movie!

We had six people in our party. Place wasnt busy for a Sunday lunch. Took a while for the food to arrive. 3 of us salads in which I asked if the chicken was "fresh grilled" in which she responded yes-sure didn't look like it-reheated. The other 3 in our party had burger type sandwiches. I tasted just the beef which lacked flavor or seasoning. I guess once you pile the rest of the condiments, you wouldn't be able to taste anything. I also asked for a sampling of the Beer Braised Short Rib sauce, which should take about 4-6 hours conventionally (2-3 hrs pressure cooked) to make (Im not a chef) but she said only if someone was ordering it which didn't make sense, but she managed to bring a sampling, which was decent. Tacos next visit.

It is so refreshing to see craft brews in the suburbs. The only other location I know of is the RAM. I was a big fan of the Confessional IPA and Fallen Angel. The appetizers were decent- the cheese curds are fried but good, the poutine was great, and the parmesan fries were okay(they were cooled off when we got them. Maybe they would be better warm?). I ordered the salmon, and while it was good, it wasn't the best I ever had. It could use some more flavor. My husband got the sunrise burger and said it was pretty good, but not outstanding. Honestly, I'll be back because of the great craft brews and appetizers. Beyond that, the menu isn't that creative or flavorful.

We had reservations and it took over an hour to bring out our food. Our kids were hungry and we all just ordered burgers. There were empty tables so we don't know why it took so long? Not a good place to bring kids who are hungry. The food was ok, but we won't be going back because of the service. We spoke to a Manager, but he was speechless. Very poor managment for someone that said he's been in the restaurant business for 20 years.

This was our 4th/5th time dinning at the restaurant. As always, the food and house beer was great! Though this time the waiter was nice & friendly, just he as forgetful. We were a party of 9 (6-adults & 3-kids). Four of us had been to The Lucky Monk previously. Our only complaint was the waiter, who forgot to bring out the kids carrot appetizers until we asked for them once our main course was delivered, even though we ordered the cheese curd appetizer...which is very tasty. Than the waiter was hard to find and had ask another waiter to get ours. Lastly, he forgot to either place the order or bring out the Cookie Skillet...which we waited somewhere between 15-30 minutes.

Good selection of house beer and cocktails for the non-beer drinkers. The server was very attentive, good suggestions about dinner and drinks. We made reservations based on previous reviews, I would suggest making a reservation for an evening just in case.

This is our 4th visit to Lucky Monk and the food was great as usual! We have always had great service as well until this time...our waitress was not friendly and did not like answering questions...didn't like smiling either, except when it was time to collect her tip. If we hadn't been with friends she would not have gotten one. I have NEVER done that before and even though our friends agreed the service was poor we just couldn't leave without giving her a tip.

Even with a reservation, there was an extended wait for a table. We ordered drinls and a starter and finished both while waiting over 45 min for dinner. Our server told us the manager would comp the starter because of the delay. Friday and Saturday are not good choices because of the crowds. I circled the parking lot for ten min. waiting for someone to leave so I could park. Very loud, very busy and hetic. The last two visits have not been good.
