Even though the place was packed, two minutes after we walked through the door, we were seated at a great booth and our server was already taking our drink orders. For anyone who likes craft beer, it's important to note that this place is also a brewery, and their beer is very unique and very good. My fiance and I both ordered burgers, which were delicious. The only disappointment the entire evening was the lack of cheese in his grilled cheese burger (a burger between two grilled cheese sandwiches). We thought the bread-to-cheese ratio was way too high, since the reason for ordering the grilled cheese burger was the cheese. Apart from that, a great experience.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Burgers!Best burgers in town! Cooked to perfection with onions, cheese, lettuce, pickles and tomato on a brioche or sesame seed bun. Served on a round disk platform so they look like they are gigantic. They are large, but scrumptious! They come with fries, although you can substitute fruit or veggies for a small additional fee. Their artisan pizza is also delicious and popular, as is their pulled pork. This is a great after movie lunch or dinner spot, with a sports bar for those who are following all the games. This place is beautiful! although the patio was closed because it was kind of cold, they had an area with a fire that had lounge chairs around it. I will definitely be back in the summer. When we checked into the restaurant, we asked if we could sit in the bar. The person at the front desk was very nice and took us there right away. Our server was really the highlight of the night. She was awesome! She had a great knowledge of the beers and food. Whenever we needed something, she was right there. She was so friendly all night long. This trip- we had the half chicken and the beef tips...very average. The food was good the service was great (Emily did a great job). The restaurant is very large with large booths and tables. The bar has several large screen TVs'. The menu is so impressive it is difficult to decide what dish to order. The food was very good at a reasonable price. I ordered the burger and it was outstanding. The service was also very good. My party ordered a flight of craft beers and they all were very good. Our server was so nice and on point. I prefer the booths with the little lights on the tables over the booths with the overhead spotlight- at my age, I need all the help I can get with flattering lighting! Next time I will request one of those well lit booths! :-) In addition to the horseradish cream sauce with the corned beef and cabbage, I think a little whole grain brown mustard would have been nice on the side as well! Perfume interferes with my breathing and can cause respiratory arrest. I wish all Lucky Monk team members would follow her example. Aside from my breathing problems, perfume & cologne clashes with food...taste & smell are closely connected. Please give Jessica a great review & raise in pay!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMI always enjoy the Lucky Monk.I always enjoy the Lucky Monk. The parking lot is always full it seams but there is rarely a wait. The ambiance is great, and the food is always delicious. If it comes on a bun be prepared for a tower of food, they stack them high here from there basic burgers (not that any of their burgers are basic) to their chicken sandwiches. They have several home brews and a few monthly specials as well so there is a good reason to stop in once a month if you like a good crafted beer.
