This was truely a 5-star experience. Ronald and the wait staff wereg great and very attentive. The brunch selection was one of the best I have ever experienced and every item cooked to perfection. While on the very expensive side, was well worth the money spent.

Made reservations for tea at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia for 1:30pm. When we arrived, the maitre d' told us that they don't serve tea until 3:00pm and couldn't seat us. I told him we made reservations on-line and why did it allow me to make reservations for an invalid time? He told me that this has happened to other people and he was sorry. Needless to say, I was embarrassed in front of my guests. SO, If you know there is a problem, and to me it seems fairly simple to fix, why let it go on? This is not the kind of service I would expect from the Four Seasons. #1. Does not give me confidence in 'Open Table'. #2. Does not give me confidence in the Service at the Four Seasons and will affect my willingness to return.

The food was great and there was so much variety! Much more than I would have expected. It was also all prepared and displayed beautifully and tasted like it had been made to order, not buffet style. Everyone was pleasant and they even offered us a seat in front of the windows! This was our first anniversary weekend and we wanted to enjoy our last day in Philadelphia before we drove home. We did not feel comfortable taking the seating directly in front of the windows with a view of the fountain. The tables were set for 8-10 people and we were only two. That would be my only suggestion to the restaurant is to offer smaller seating in front of the windows for those still wanting the view.

It's very difficult to find such a lovely spot for traditional tea time. I took a very good friend as part of our 'girls day' so that she could experience a fairly authentic traditional tea and so that nothing would distract us in conversation. The pear carmel tea was lovely and the sandwiches, scones, sweets were all wonderful! We enjoyed seeing a grandmother/granddaughter bonding over tea, as well!

Sunday brunch for a special occasion. Great time, wonderful meal. Would note slight sticker-shock based on price range from OpenTable - brunch was about $20 above the highest range listed at the time. Recommend calling and checking with restaurant before setting reservation. One other note is that the restaurant called and left a voicemail to confirm the reservation. If you're planning a surprise, note this in your comments to the restaurant (or tell them when you call to check prices!).

My family attended a brunch buffet at the Swann. I have attended brunch there in the past and had excellent service. This experience left a lot to be desired in terms of service. I have had high tea at the Four Seasons for years and felt that the quality of the food was slipping. The sandwiches appeared to have been prepared hours before- they were somewhat soggy. And I really didn't like having the containers with the butter, lemon curd and jam already on the table. The service was as good as it always is but the food is loosing it's high quality. It is beginning to feel like a tourist show as apposed to a fine dining experience. My husband and I had been there a few months ago for lunch and we weren't at all happy with the lunch. Not only did the manager question our taste when we pointed out the steak was inedible but the price of a glass of wine is really much too high ($16 for 3 ounces) .

Twice a year for the last few years I had brunch at the Fountain Room at the Four Seasons. This brunch has been discontinued except for special occsions and the Swann Lounge was the other option. I was worried that it would not be as elegant or cosmopolitan as the Fountain but I changed my mind as soon as I sat down. The food choices were excellent and were in keeping with the special occasion vibe of Fountain. I will definately return.
