A word from The Louisiana Pantry
Chef Wolfe’s “The Louisiana Pantry” overlooks the picturesque Intercostal Water way and its colorful fleet of Yatchs and Fishing boats. The expansive Pier is a perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon with friends, surrounded by Fun Filled Family activities, Retail shops and rustling palms. There is no better retreat from life’s demands that this unique spot. Here you just might be enticed to try one of many specialty drinks or something from Chef Wolfe’s Kitchen and then, enjoy the moment.

The cool interior of Wolfe’s offers a rustic impression with hints of the French who passed this way more than three hundred years ago, just as the food that comes from the kitchen shares that same connection. Choose a table by the windows looking out on the Intercostal Water Way or a grab a stool at the bar. The dining room is pleasantly subdued, an ideal culinary retreat, just the right setting for upscale- casual but rustic New Oreans dining.

  • "We had the bad luck of going on a night with an unannounced limited menu. The staff did their best to accommodate us, but it was just ok. I enjoyed my meal, but several in the group were frustrated with the quality of the food that came to the table. The restaurant was surprisingly empty, unsure why. The service was exceptional and fun. I would go back. Very clean and pleasant."

  • "Louisiana Pantry provides a great atmosphere with some really tasty food. Not sure if this restaurant is new; however, it took a long time for the food to come out of the kitchen. The wait staff did a great job appeasing the patrons and for taking the heat for the kitchen delays. I was at the restaurant the same evening as a very popular country singer was having a concert and it could have just been a matter of underestimating the potential crowd. Even given the lengthy wait, I would definitely go back in hopes the wait was just a fluke this particular evening."

  • "Slow Tuesday night prior to Spring Break and Mardi Gras. Staff was very attentive and pleasant. Food was unique and explained well. Popcorn sundae is worth saving room."

  • "Food was great and the waitress was one of the best - wish we remembered her name but she is a young lady working to go to nursing school - was from New Orleans."

  • "Great food. We didn't have to wait at all. It wasn't very crowded so wasn't really the ambience we wanted."

  • "TABLE REQUEST WAS NOT HONORED. MUSIC FOR NIGHT HAD BEEN CANCELLED. WE WERE SEATED AT TABLE RIGHT BEHIND BAR FULL OF CACKLING WOMAN. WAITER WAS ASIGNED TO TWO DIFFERENT ROOMS. I HAD ORDERED A BEER AND IT SET AT END OF BAR FOR 15 MINUTES. FINALLY GOT ATTENTION OF ANOTHER SERVER TO RETRIEVE DRINK. MANAGER CAME AN ASK HOW OUR DINING AS GOING. WE EXPLAINED OUR DISPLEASURE . HE WAS GOING TO CONFRONT OUR SERVER. WHEN HE WAS PROBLEM , NOT THE SERVER ASSIGNED TO DIFFERENT ROOMS. DEFINENTLY A NO RETURN!"

  • "This is a great place for an exceptional meal. We received excellent service from the staff and every need was attended to promptly. The food was outstanding from beginning with the Crab and Corn Chowder, though the New Orleans BBQ shrimp, Wolfe’s Caesar salad, the Truffle Chips, the Crab Cakes and the Buffalo Shrimp. The Popcorn Ice Cream Sundae topped the deserts, the Cheese Cake and the Apple Pie with Tarragon Ice Cream were incredibly good. There was also a free wine tasting the night we were there. Short but well-chosen wine list. We will dine here every time we return to Orange Beach. This is the best place we have eaten in the area."

  • "My hubby and I had been visiting the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, AL for the week, and we were really tired of all the fried food. I was surprised that there were so few restaurants listed on Open Table, but when I found Louisiana Pantry I was excited at the possibility of a pleasant change of food menu. They did not disappoint Louisiana Pantry saved our taste buds from fried food and our table faced the Wharf Marina, beautiful views with a beautiful dinner, thank you!!!"

  • "We went for the prime rib special. 12 oz prime rib with 2 sides for $16.97. I think the place opened within a week or so ago. The waitress was very slow. She wasn't told she had us, and seemed to have a lot of tables. The prime rib was way over cooked on the side that touched the plate, which wasn't hot. The flavor was very surprising to the palate, the green bean casserole was a surprise due to some concoction of bread crumb buttery topping. Not what I was thinking, but very good. The garlic mashed potatoes, well, mine are way better. They were very dry and not much of a garlic flavor al all. I would try this place again to give them another chance."
