The cool interior of Wolfe’s offers a rustic impression with hints of the French who passed this way more than three hundred years ago, just as the food that comes from the kitchen shares that same connection. Son #1 got hamburger was very good and son #2 got fried fish it was really good; Service was ok. Seemed to be some friction with the staff members. This place has real potential."

  • "I've been here twice and each time the food was amazing. Everyone ordered different things and we all were blown away by the meal! Both times I've eaten here Chef Tom has come out and greeted us. Couldn't ask for better food or service! And the white chocolate butter bars are to die for!"

  • "Went on a concert night. They did not advertise a concert menu. It was good though. Shrimp and grits, flat iron steak, oysters, bacon burger, creole dish with fried rice all good. Found the Mac and cheese with crawfish small plate to be chintzy, greasy and definitely overpriced. The ceasar salad was also very bland. White sangrias were good and they make a mean dirty martini. Waitress was very pleasant."

  • "We decided to sit outside, which was very nice and scenic. However, when the food arrived it was less than desirable. In fact two friends ordered the tuna, took one bite and couldn't eat it. The restaurant didn't charge them for the tuna since it wasn't eatable. Over all, very disappointed in this restaurant and we won't return."

  • "We sat at the bar before our reservation was ready and had drinks and a few appetizers. Bartender was great. When we went to the front we were sat immediately. But the people who did not have a reservation were put on a wait with over half the table in the restaurant empty. I understand not wanting to swamp the kitchen or not having enough servers to be able to cover the tables that are sat. It was the night of a big concert you should be over staffed. There shouldn't be a question of that. Two of us ordered the white sangria we had at the bar and it tasted completely different, it took 30 minutes for our salad to come out. My prime rib was cold and missing condiments. We had been there once before and it was great. Very disappointed."

  • "I took my friend to Sunday Brunch and thought we were in New Orleans. The food choices were just spicy enough. I loved that everything was fresh. The interior looks like an old warehouse. There are entrances on the front and back as well as outdoor dining. Chef Wolf came out to talk to us. What a treat! I hope that word gets out as a place to go for meals, drinks, snacks, and desserts. I will visit again. "

  • "Walking in to this restaurant makes you think wow this will be great. The atmosphere and surroundings are really nice. Starched linens, excellent view of marina, decor was very nice. The food was very simple with very basic New Orleans flourishes (one was shrimp and grits which was very bland) and the omelets and potatoe andouille sausage dishes were cold. The buffet was poorly laid out as you could not see what the food was until you opened a lid- food was labeled. We expected a real jazz brunch much like Copelands or other New Orleans restaurants. There was no live jazz music , but the music playing was not overpowering. The cocktails were superb and reasonable. If you want a nice, quiet place for drinks then this is a must. "

The food was quite good; it gave a classy spotlight to southern style spices (creole, cajun). And the price for our dinner, drinks, and dessert was lower than what we expected.   • "Louisiana Pantry provides a great atmosphere with some really tasty food. Not sure if this restaurant is new; however, it took a long time for the food to come out of the kitchen. The wait staff did a great job appeasing the patrons and for taking the heat for the kitchen delays. I was at the restaurant the same evening as a very popular country singer was having a concert and it could have just been a matter of underestimating the potential crowd. Even given the lengthy wait, I would definitely go back in hopes the wait was just a fluke this particular evening."

I enjoyed my meal, but several in the group were frustrated with the quality of the food that came to the table. The restaurant was surprisingly empty, unsure why. I HAD ORDERED A BEER AND IT SET AT END OF BAR FOR 15 MINUTES. FINALLY GOT ATTENTION OF ANOTHER SERVER TO RETRIEVE DRINK. MANAGER CAME AN ASK HOW OUR DINING AS GOING. WE EXPLAINED OUR DISPLEASURE . HE WAS GOING TO CONFRONT OUR SERVER. WHEN HE WAS PROBLEM , NOT THE SERVER ASSIGNED TO DIFFERENT ROOMS. DEFINENTLY A NO RETURN!"

  • "This is a great place for an exceptional meal. We received excellent service from the staff and every need was attended to promptly. The food was outstanding from beginning with the Crab and Corn Chowder, though the New Orleans BBQ shrimp, Wolfe’s Caesar salad, the Truffle Chips, the Crab Cakes and the Buffalo Shrimp. The Popcorn Ice Cream Sundae topped the deserts, the Cheese Cake and the Apple Pie with Tarragon Ice Cream were incredibly good. There was also a free wine tasting the night we were there. Short but well-chosen wine list. We will dine here every time we return to Orange Beach. This is the best place we have eaten in the area."

I was surprised that there were so few restaurants listed on Open Table, but when I found Louisiana Pantry I was excited at the possibility of a pleasant change of food menu. They did not disappoint Louisiana Pantry saved our taste buds from fried food and our table faced the Wharf Marina, beautiful views with a beautiful dinner, thank you!!!"

  • "We went for the prime rib special. 12 oz prime rib with 2 sides for $16.97. I think the place opened within a week or so ago. The waitress was very slow. She wasn't told she had us, and seemed to have a lot of tables. The prime rib was way over cooked on the side that touched the plate, which wasn't hot. The flavor was very surprising to the palate, the green bean casserole was a surprise due to some concoction of bread crumb buttery topping. Not what I was thinking, but very good. The garlic mashed potatoes, well, mine are way better. They were very dry and not much of a garlic flavor al all. I would try this place again to give them another chance."

  • "it was okay. nothing special. potential though. tell wait staff to not remove peoples drinks until they are finished. when in doubt, ASK. but remove the things that they are obviously done with instead. and don't question my decision to not be done with my drink! the bisque was great but PLEASE leave off the goat cheese crostini. that was just plain weird. it clashed heavily...it's also good to educate your staff on where the seafood comes from. people these days care."

  • "This was our 2nd time at Louisiana Pantry. The first time we were there I had the most wonderful Lamb Lollipops served over a mint apple garnish with mashed potatoes. Y.U.M! It is no longer on the menu for some reason. I ordered the Wahoo special (fish of the day). It was pan seared, and while the flavor was great, and it wasn't burnt on the outside, the Wahoo was very dry. My husband ordered the Jambalaya pasta and he was expecting something in a creamy sauce with pasta, and instead, it was like a ladle of Jambala soup was poured over a bowl of spaghetti. There was no garnish and it was kind of a sad looking plate. My mom ordered the Gulf Fish Almondine and it was the hit of the table."

  • "We visited the Wharf at Orange Beach, Al. over Labor Day weekend and had dinner at Louisiana Pantry with two kids. Restaurant had good Louisiana style fare and a nice atmosphere. Also, had a great musician providing entertainment. However, the service was poor. The waitress did not know anything about their menu items, drinks, or specials. She also never refilled our drinks during dinner. The hostess wouldn't allow outdoor seating,she commented they "didn't have enough servers." A big disappointment, especially considering the beautiful surrounding views. We also noticed the other restaurants nearby seemed to all have large outdoor dining areas. I hope the owners make changes quickly. This could be a great, successful restaurant!"

  • "We visited while on vacation the Monday night the day school started in the area do there were very few people in the restaurant. That meant that we really received special attention from the staff. I enjoyed my blackened catfish and especially the sweet corn grits. My date loved his red fish would definitely go there again."
