  • "The small plates were amazing. Loved the smoked salmon crostini and zucchini. The drinks were very good too."

  • "We haven't been here for a while. Their choc martini is still the bomb however we feel that food taste has going down."

  • "They did not have our reservation when we arrived but it was early and they found us a table. The food was really good and the Loft drop was amazing but service was slow. We love the outdoor patio."

  • "The spicy shrimp and truffle fries are our favorites. Drinks are always good. Out back is really nice, they even supply soft blankets if you get chilled."

  • "This is a great place to go for some late night grub. Small loft seating upstairs is intimate and cozy, and a small bar downstairs with limited seating - but a nice open area out back during the warmer months. We found the food delicious and worth every penny, tried stuffed zucchini, four cheese ravioli, and I had shrimp with pecans, asparagus and a side of perfectly roasted potatoes. If you're down in Edmonds check this place out sometime you will not be disappointed! Ask to sit in the loft."

  • "I've been to "The Loft" a few times with my sisters and teen/adult children; one time even my grandniece when she was about 18 months old. They were not really a place for the very young as they have no highchairs or booster seats. The food has always been innovative in ingredients and presentation. I've never been let down my choices and I've eaten most of the items listed under appetizers, salads, and part of the entrees. The place is bigger than it initially looks because of the back covered "outside" dining area with its own tiki style bar. The seating areas are crowded but you don't hear the next table's conversation. This is a nice addition to downtown Edmonds as its a nice upscale place to dine but moderately priced."

  • "Went for Valentine's Day. Checked website to make sure they did NOT have a set menu. When we arrived, they did in fact have a set menu. $50.00 per person w/ absolutely HORRIBLE choices and tiny portions. We were unable to eat the salad and the entree as they tasted as though the salt shaker had been spilled onto both. We were excited to try the menu and looked forward to going for the first time. I would not recommend unless you want to "pop in" for a quick cocktail and that's it. Service was poor. We actually saw to couples take a look at the set Valentine's Day menu and walk out. Unless you like goat cheese and lamb, the choices were poor."

  • "'I cancelled my reservation at The Loft. This was based on information from friends that the The Loft was uncomfortable, noisy and had mediocre food.I could not find any way to report the cancellation to Open Table. I then tried to change my reservation to Chandlers Crabhouse in Seattle. I could not use Open Table for that reservation because "my email address was already associated with The Loft. So I could not use Open Table to book Chandlers. Open Table may not be a useful source for my future restaurant reservations. By the way, Chandlers was outstanding!"

  • "Luckily, we weren't looking for fine dining--just a geographically convenient restaurant between two residences. We had enthusiastic but somewhat awkward, unprofessional service (after explaining the not-too-complex cocktail we wished to have, even listing the three ingredients and the proportions, our server went to the bar and had to return to our table twice before bringing the drinks at last). It was almost unbearably noisy; full-table conversation was impossible. Food was average. Truffle fries were cool and looked like small dregs from the fryer; my crab salad was unremarkable; my ravioli was tasty but also not at an optimal temp. All in all, i would not advise going out of one's way to The Loft."

  • "Upon arriving we were told NO reservation. I explained that I booked through 'open table' - "oh we have problems with them. They cut off reservations at 5:00 p.m." What the helll does that mean! So - no reservation but they had a table...."

  • "What a disappointment. We are Edmonds residents and have eaten at the Loft several times. It is typically noisy and chaotic, but this time was worse than usual. I had made a reservation a week before via Open Table and received confirmation and reminder e-mails. I also telephoned the restaurant a few days in advance to confirm the reservation. When we arrived, they claimed they had no knowledge of the reservation and blamed the lapse on Open Table. Our party of 4 was seated in the noisy bar area, at a table that wasn't big enough for 4. The wait staff was disorganized, provided utensils and napkins only after two requests, and brought all of the food -- appeatizers and main dishes -- at once. The food was acceptable but overpriced."

  • "Other than the fact that their head chef had recently quit so the sous chef was doing the cooking, the food was still not too bad, albeit service was slow since he probably couldn't get the food out fast enough. However, we were very surprised that they had run out of some foods and even a drink - which we assumed was not the chef's fault or does he also order the alcohol? My friends rave about this place, so I would go again when they get a chef hired..."

  • "Living up north in Sou. Snohomish Co., there's a notable lack of night-out choices for non-TGI Friday's dining compared to Seattle. Edmonds does have a handful and the Loft was our first foray. While the place did look nice, we were seated in sort of an out of the way corner of the covered patio with a view of the back gate/door that mostly stood ajar showing an ugly alley. Note to self to try upstairs next time! House drinks didn't impress, but we enjoyed the food in good portions. Service was a little aloof at first but warmed quickly and also pretty fast. The best thing is location; great afternoon strolling down through Edmond's idyllic downtown to the water and beach for terrific views. Recommended with reservations noted above."

  • "The food and service are great. I love the outdoor patio area and the ambiance the lighting creates at night. I was frustrated, however, that I made a reservation for 6 but because they didn't plan well, we were crammed into a corner at a table meant for 4. But alas we made due and enjoyed the evening anyway."

  • "The food was excellent. For the price the portions were quite small. It was not the small plate. I hadd the slidders. Got 2 sliders. They could have put a half dozen frie, or a couple of pickles or some chips with it. The appearance on the plate wasn't very good."

  • "The quality and taste of the food was all good, everyone enjoyed their dinner. Our party of 4 enjoyed the ambiance of the back room and we were able to hold conversations despite the full room. I would go back there again, but would hope the drink service would be a little more attentive & timely, but it was a busy Friday night. I will for sure give their lunch menu a try if I have the chance, and I would also return for dinner if in the area."

  • "I went to The Loft for dinner with my sister and three minor (20, 17, 11) nieces. It is more a place for the 21 and over crowd. We shared 8 or 9 small plates, heavy on the seafood. They were all very good and the portions were average. The flaming cheese & truffle fries were hits. The raw dishes looked & tasted fresh. Most of the dishes came with arugula tossed with a lite citrus balsamic dressing. I had a grey goose martini and my sister had a sapphire gin and tonic; both drinks were very smooth. The two older girls had virgin Mojitos/Mint Juleps; they said that they were good. This is a welcome addition to downtown Edmonds as it is hip with class but not at all pretentious. It would be a wonderful place to go on a first date."

  • "Overall good and varied menu. Some exceptional dishes (ribeye) with the balance better than average. The stuffed dates appetizer and Caprese Salad are winners. Didn't try desserts as were all full."

  • "The Loft is a great little spot for lunch or dinner. Has a charming little bar which is usually full in the evenings. The food consists of small plates, so you're not stuffed, but enough to be sated. I suggest their crab cakes, calamari, quinoa salad and truffle fries. However, I have not had a bad meal, lunch or dinner."

  • "Awesome food & drinks - you feel like you're in downtown Seatlle."

  • "It was my first time there and the food was great. I had the calamari as an app and the crab cakes for my entree and they were delicious. We were able to dine outside and it was very enjoyable; great for anytime of the year the way they have it set up. The summer cocktails were good. I recommend the strawberry lemon drop. Service was good; but dont expect anything for a special occasion. However, I would definantly dine there again. Next time for lunch!"

  • "My Husband and I had a great time at the Loft. We shared 8 small plates and dessert and walked away stuffed. The scallops BLT are perfect!!! We sat on the outside dining patio surrounded by the bamboo and completely enjoyed our romantic dinner. Be sure to check out restaurant.com for a dining certificate. Get there early for Happy Hour in the bar."

  • "I took my husband (and adult son) to The Loft for Father's Day. It was our first visit, and while the menu sounded intriguing, I was somewhat hesitant because of some reviews criticizing the service. My concerns were totally unfounded. We were seated in the rear patio, and we had no issues with service - and the food was great! Even though the weather was not that great, we were warm and dry as the patio is covered, and heated with a variety of outdoor heaters. Also, the fence surrounding the patio was softened with lovely, large potted plants. We were not hurried, nor did we have to wait for extended periods between courses. I am sure we will be visiting again."

  • "Went here for the first time the other night with my husband. Service was attentive and pleasant. Food was DELICIOUS, though portions look much smaller than our culture is used to. Though it looked small, the amount was just right. Dark cherry wood interior design with low lighting gives the place a comfortable, intimate feel. Our only two gripes are that it's a little pricey for those smaller portion sizes and the tables are pretty close together. Loved the place and we will definitely be going back :)"
