  • "Great food for a great price. We will definitely return and soon."

  • "Had a birthday brunch with 9 women, great service, food came all together and hot and eggs perfect, Crab Benny their specialty and no disappointment there. Brought in a cake and all went well! would do it again in an instant."

  • "The service was great, we needed it to be fast for lunch so we could get back to work on time. They were quick and the food was delicious."

  • "An excellent place to go for fine dining, excellent food and a great location for the North Shore. Always lookfoward to the Sunday Prime-rib dinner and for brunch their eggs bene crabcakes."

  • "This is always a good place to meet friends. I also have dinner there, but not as frequently. I find the gluten free menu good, but look forward to a few new items. I usually order cob salad which is good. Have had other items, but always come back to Cobb salad. The service is good and considerate Patriciacoker"

  • "Took Mum for her 80 something birthday. The food was very good, the service was excellent the ambiance not quite what I would have been looking for for an older couple. The piano singer was too loud, the scene is primarily 50 something. Fun and would recommend but not for an intimate dinner."

  • "We had a wonderful Valentines dinner at the Pinnacle. It was a set menu but good choices and the food was delicious. They had decorated with roses and rose petals and brought in a small band which played some good music. We were very pleasantly taken care of."

  • "An average dining experience at The Pinnacle. Food was pretty good, and our server was delightful. Due to the volume of reservations they had tables set up in an overflow room (perhaps a room meant for larger reservations?) which had little ambiance. It felt removed from the rest of the restaurant and was sparsely decorated. Other than that they had a blues band playing which was really good."

  • "As it was Dine Out Vancouver, I decided to try your restaurant because I had never been there before and I read the menu and thought it sounded good. The booth was great, cozy but not too small. The food was excellent, the cheese, beet, fig and orange salad had the right combination of sweet and citrus, crunchy and smooth. My main course was what made me want to go there. I loved smoked steelhead and the asparagus was great. The gnocchi could have been a little lighter. Dessert was fabulous. I will come again and would like to try a lunch next time"

  • "The Dine out menu was excellent! Perfectly done from appybto entree to dessert. Service at the lounge was great but restaurant service so so... Nothing great at all the waitress barely spoke to us. There was a loud abnoxious table near us that ruined the nice quiet atmosphere we started out with... Very annoying... Not the restaurants fault. Would definately go back to try something different , the food was so good!"

  • "My husband and I live in North Vancouver and decided to try The Pier @ The Pinnacle. The table was perfect and Andre our server exceptionally accommodating. I'd advised on Open Table when I made the booking of my husband's allergies to nuts. When we arrived, our hostess greeted up and repeated this notation; very good on our part! I did the wine pairing which was an excellent way to try my various choice of appetizer/entree/dessert. I know you normally during Dine Out need to "turn the table" with 1 hour 45 minutes, but we didn't feel rushed at all! I truly can't wait to go back for appetizers on a Friday evening and enjoy the live music! This retaurant a definite keeper!"

  • "What a lovely find on the North Shore. Food was not only excellent but the serving sizes were generous! Great plating. Service from our French-speaking waitress was exemplary. The orchids and candlelight on each table helped to enhance the romantic feel of our date."

  • "Good place for lunch for anyone in North Vancouver. Food and service was very good but were disappointed in view. We expected to see view of water and downtown area but windows overlooked shipyards instead!! Convenient underground hotel parking, especially when raining!"

  • "Attended for my evening birthday meal with my family on a Tuesday evening. Restaurant was virtually empty @ 6:00 PM. 2 TV's were against the open bar, making it more like a sports bar atmosphere. We had the Pasta specials (good deal @ $16 for a pasta entree and a glass of wine). The food was generally good, although 3 of my mussels were uncooked, which I pointed out to the hostess. Service was superb, with an attentive hostess. Overall, the cost of the meal in relation to its quality and the service seems like fair value. The Lobby Restaurant should have better ambience and a higher food experience standard in relation to the stature of the Pinnacle hotel that houses it."

  • "My wife and I chose this over going downtown for a date night and dinner out. Both of our meals were excellent and very reasonably priced. We did the wine pairing and three courses. My wife had the ahi tuna and it was done perfectly. I had the quinoa salad and it was great and nicely portioned. For mains we had the duck and black cod. Again, both very tasty and well portioned. Finally we had creme brulee. All with very nice wine pairings. Service was very good throughout and we had an entirely enjoyable night in a neighbourhood gem. We will be back."

  • "My daughter and I were in Vancouver in March and chose to have dinner here as we were staying at the hotel. It was an excellent meal with fabulous service. Would definitely dine here the next time I'm in Vancouver."

  • "I was told that lunch starts at 2 when the brunch finished. Turns out brunch was served till 3 which ended up OK, but I thought my Dad would have wanted seafood from the lunch menu. . Waiter took about 10 minutes to bring a menu and greet us. I didn't want to make a fuss but it was embarrassing as I was the organizer. The noise level was high. Not sure why but it felt like being in a cafeteria. The chair cushions were frayed, all of them. View was of the parking lot. Food was fine. Nicely presented and generous. Not a great starter menu, but it was brunch. Was overcharged for one item and it was solved, but again, it takes away from the experience to have to complain. Won't bother going back, even though I live close by."

  • "Complimentary parking offered - nice. If you love a jovial ambience, being able to tell a joke and laugh out loud, then this is the place. I had the steelhead salmon and it was fantastic; the other members of our group had other dishes that were healthy, very tasty, and nicely done winter veggies are included. Service was very good the entire evening! BUT if you are looking for a spectacular view, then this is not the place. The Lobby has everything to offer except a view. Other than that, all was a great fun evening!"

  • "Salad was good but did not come with a salad fork, and the dinner fork I used left with the empty salad plate.. I saw pacific cod was used for the fish and chips on the menu; this is a recent substitute name for Hake, a scrap fish, that I would not think of eating myself, although it is nowadays used extensively. I believe better wines could be offered on the list, than were, and at the same price The scotch whisky list had many well known brands that were of better quality previously, than nowadays."

  • "This restaurant never fails to give excellent service. Most helpful in accommodating a food allergy. Perhaps their sister restaurant at Pier Seven should take some lessons from the Pinnacle staff."

  • "Another great meal at The Lobby at the Pinnacle Hotel. Duck was terrific and so tasty! Cooked perfectly. Highly recommend The Lobby for ANY meal!"

  • "I am a vegetarian so I asked for vegetarian sandwiches, I got a cucumber bite on a very "hard" bun, actually unedible. I got a cream cheese and sundried tomato wrap (bite size) - then I got an avacado topped crustini (the best bite of the lot) and lastly a boccini/tomato bite. My friend had a variety of ham/cheese, smoked salmon cream cheese and turkey bite size sandwiches. We both commented that there needed to be more "savory" snacks than sweets. I enjoyed the scone with cream and jam - but otherwise I would have to say for the $26.95 price tag, it fell short of afternoon teas I have experienced elsewhere so niether of us would come back for the tea service. We will definitely be back for brunch or lunch - it never disappoints. Thank you."

  • "This is a super restaurant in a great location. Our server was exceptional and attentive. The scallops were fantastic! The only down side, as with most restaurants, was it was too noisy. Would go again though."

  • "The food was good, tasty and hot and overall, fairly priced. My only criticism would be our waiter who did an efficient job but was not as friendly and genuinely engaging as he could or should be. I recommend the restaurant often as I like the single price menu as an option and the range of items on the menu from basic and affordable to more gourmet and expensive. Keep the wine list reasonable and I will continue to come back."

  • "The only complaint was that the service was very slow. I was there with a group of women so luckily we were not in a hurry. However, it did take quite a while to receive our food. The food was very good and the atmosphere was also good. You also changed the channel to the hockey game when i asked so that too was good."

  • "The service we received from Andre was impeccable. He made suggestions that we took and proved his intimate knowledge of the menu and wine selections. The mussels in white sauce were fresh and absolutely the best mussels we had while in British Columbia. The wine selection was broad and included many local wines that we would not normally get to try. Burrowing owl wines Cab Franc 2010 was the perfect pairing for out meal. Halibut with a mango curry sauce was simply the most moist succulent fish I've ever consumed. Highlights of this meal were the garlic bread crostini served with the mussels, and desserts! I highly recommend this restaurant whether you are staying at the Pinnacle hotel or not."
