The Little TunaAn excellent experienceLittle Tuna was recommended to us for our anniversary dinner. We were pleasantly surprised all around.
Appetizers were delicious, salad was crisp and tasty, soup was hot and delicious. My wife had two delicious crab cakes and I enjoyed an outstanding cioppino. Service was excellent and even parking was a snap in crowded Haddonfield.
All in all, an enjoyable visit which needs repeating soon.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI always love the seafoodI always love the seafood here - usually have the Tuna with peppercorns, mushrooms and a blue cheese sauce - my taste buds are salivating at the thought; but decided to try the salmon special instead and I was NOT disappointed - it was perfect! I wish I could cook salmon like that - kudos to the chef... and can I have your recipe? The appetizers were also great - oysters on the half shell were first rate and we tried the app. special of crab bites with blue cheese and roasted red peppers with a lobster bisque type sauce - heavenly! The service was very good too, although the restaurant was hardly crowded on a Monday night - in fact, we were very glad they were open. This restaurant is and always will be one of our favorite BYOBs6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat seafoodFood was exceptional. Staff very professional & enjoyed the recommendations.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentIf you like BYO's, and Tuna. This is the place for you. Had friends in from out of town and we went here for a night out. It was delicious, couldn't have been more pleased. A definite must.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMamazingly fresh seafoodcrab soup and lobster bisque with a touch of sherry started our dinner. Both were very good. Caesar salad was a bit vinegary. Tuna was excellent and the scallops on my pasta were definitely day boat, dry packed and very fresh. It is a joy when you get such sweet tasting scallops like that. Joe was our server and he was not only attentive but also very personable. Loved it.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was OKWe took my parents for their 48th wedding anniversary. Service was painfully slow as every table was seated at the same time. Our server did his best but he appeared to be stretched thin. No acknowledgement of the special occasion and no offer to chill the champagne we brought.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat neighborhood quaintGreat neighborhood quaint restaurant where great food and ambiance are always top notch. Food was fresh and staff was very attentive.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat tuna and crab cakesI had one of the tuna entrees and my fiance had the crab cakes and they were both fantastic! We will definitely be going back. I didn't realize it was a BYOB until we sat down, so next time I'll make sure to bring a bottle.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good local restruantI keep returning because it is wonderful restruant that cateres well to its customers and serves fresh, well prepared and enjoyable food.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really enjoyed our mealsWe really enjoyed our meals at The Little Tuna and would definitely come back.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst timermy wife asked to go to her Mother's Day dinner here, and I never enjoy going out on that day as it is usually a rushed, hurried experience. But I can say that was not the case, yes they may have been out of a few items on the menu but still had plenty of options to choose from, and the service and food were both excellent. Sure we will be going back5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAWESOMEThe absolute best food in SJ! Great setting and the staff is excellent. I can't believe I am just trying this restaurant. I will be back again and again!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent and wellFood was excellent and well prepared. Very good crabmeat. Service was good but not extraodinary. The restaurant is load when busy. BYOB5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat FoodFish was wonderful and although the restaurant is attached to a fish market there was no fish odor.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic foodGreat food and great atmosphere for a special dinner. Ask for the window seat when making a reservation.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThree Times A CharmMy fiancee and I have dined at The Little Tuna three times and it just keeps getting better. We love the food, the quality, the portions, and most especially- the prices. Mary was our server the past two times and she was fantastic. If you haven't tried it- definitely check this establishment out! We can't wait to go back!!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative seafood dishes withCreative seafood dishes with fresh, nicely cooked, fresh vegetables.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMALways a great dinner experience! We keep coming here regularly waiting for a bad experience, but so far it has been great every time! I highly recommend the Wasabi Tuna but I also just enjoyed the Soy Salmon which was excellent! Of course you must have the Lobster Bisque which is a perfect blend of rich creaminess and chunks of tender lobster meat.
My wife and I were seated at the window table this time which I would say is a great spot, away from the other tables which was rather intimate and allowed for quiet conversation.
The biggest bonus is they are still offering their three-course dinner special for $19.99 everyday until 6:30! So you get a four-star dinner experience for the price of Red Lobster! You can't beat that anywhere!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMCatfish was the special theCatfish was the special the night we went and it was amazing!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good. WeThe food was very good. We had a table for five people in the corner and seemed private. The service was good. We ate upstairs so I did not see much if any of the first floor but the second floor was very nice. We will go back again.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMIt had been a while sinceIt had been a while since we went to The Little Tuna, so my daughter and I were very much looking forward to it. We love the atmosphere there and the food has always been delicious. The food was very good as usual, but our service was poor. I don't know if our waiter had too many tables, or just neglectful, but we waited a long time for our entrees. We had to ask the bus girl for bread and water refills and we sat with our plates on the table for some time before he came to clear them and give us doggie bags. He asked if we wanted coffee or desert and when we said no, it was a quick drop of the check and he seemed glad to have one less table to wait on.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe eat out frequently andWe eat out frequently and Little Tuna is on our "keeper" list.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waiter was extremely knowledgeaOur waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious, freshly prepared. Be sure to bring your favorite bottle of wine along.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood GemThis neighborhood gem never fails to bring good food, great ambience, wonderful service, and great prices for a dinner out. The added benefit of being a BYOB really hits the mark. Haddonfield is lucky to have this restaurant.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThere was a conversation goingThere was a conversation going on over our heads for a short while between 2 locals, but other than a few self centered women, Haddonfield is not too arrogant. However, I wish it were in Collingswood instead.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThe seafood here is top notch,The seafood here is top notch, as well as the service. Prices are very good. Easy to find parking on the street right in front of the restaurant. I will surely be going back to The Little Tuna. I highly recommend!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AM10 Star Food...3 star service7:00 PM reservations on a Friday night. The wait was only a few minuets when we arrived. We were greeted by a young man in the newly opening market that is attached to The Little Tuna. The market featured raw meat and fish that is offered in the restaurant. We were seated upstairs at a roomy table with a great view overlooking the street. So far so good Little Tuna is a BYOB so hats always nice because you can bring the wine you want to drink, however when the serves fails to bring an ice bucket for your white wine it can leave a sour taste in your mouth.I feel Like the server forgot about us halfway through the meal however the food was Amazing! Off the chart 10 stars! and my wife took home leftovers that were amazing the next day!!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was excellent exceptEverything was excellent except that the waiter failed to have the dressing for the salad on the side as I requested. However, I liked the amount and kind of dressing that the kitchen had used, so the potential problem was easily resolved.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's All goodlast minute decision and as always exceeded expectations. I actually tried a steak (beef not tuna) and it was done perfectly and had great flavor. My wife went with the tuna and as usual excellent. Lobster bisque has a great flavor enhanced by a touch of sherry and the crab soup is very tasty also. 3 bean salad and a Caesar salad were both good.
It is nice to go somewhere and get consistent excellence.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a great neighborhoodThis is a great neighborhood place to eat. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. The tuna was prepared in uniques ways. We had soup and salad. Very fresh and great flavors. Wish we lived closed!!
When making reservations, if the time you want is not available on open table, be sure to call the restaurant. We wanted a 5 pm and nothing was available from 5 to 7 but the entire time we were there there were empty tables.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMDeliciousI enjoy the food more and more with each visit. The owner/chef is the man! They're servers are so nice and very helpful. It's definitely one of my favorite byob destinations.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a great place. WeThis is a great place. We have been here a number of times, the food and service are always top notch. This past visit my date and I shared a delicious scallop appetizer of pan seared scallops wrapped in cucumber and topped with fresh ginger/carrot pieces. Entrees we both had Salmon, hers a pistacio/almond encrusted style. Very delicious and tender. Mine a chipotle sauce covered. A little too hot for my palate but the fish was tender and well prepared. The staff at little tuna is top notch as well. Attentive to your every need without being bothersome or non-existent. Always look forward to going back.1/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe crab cakes are "Bangin!"The crab cakes are "Bangin!" Looking forward to the opening of their new market connected to the restaurant!
