The Little DoorJust about a perfect meal...It is rare in the culinary wasteland that is LA to eat an entire dinner at a restaurant where every dish is amazing. We had the crab appetizer and the market salad to start, the seabass and the scallops for entrees and the chocolate caramel macadamia nut tart for dessert. All incredible! The ambiance was like being in a secret garden. The French Moroccan food was unique, fun and delicious. Be sure to try the scallops and the oxtail ravioli for appetizers. They were both so fresh. I had the sea bass for the entree, and it was perfectly prepared. This is a restaurant where you don't look at the prices, and it is totally worth it for the experience. In making reservations, we told them that it was our anniversary. So our lavender ice cream came out with a candle and "happy anniversary" written on chocolate.

Both were delicious and very well prepared and presented. We also shared a seared scallop appetizer which started us off wonderfully with a decent wine pairing, making the arrival of the enormous entrees a welcome. The only drawback was that we were trying to save room for dessert, but with the more than generous portions of the entrees, there was just no chance. I'm really glad I found it, because it was easily one of the best places to go for a special occasion. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and she absolutely loved it.
I highly recommend it, with the note that it can be pricey. It has still got IT--a varied menu and wine list, atmosphere and top notch service. The food was simply outstanding. We had two different fish dishes, a vegetarian entree and an out of this world dessert to share. We woulnd't have finished it except it was SO good. The atmosphere is elegant and romantic for those so inclined. Now that I have "rediscovered" it, I will definitely go back.
