  • Mother's Day Brunch
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012

Went to "The Links" for Mother's Day, was impressed with the ambience of the restaurant and the tables were beautifully set. Our service was not good, drink glasses didn't get refilled, finished plates didn't get taken away quickly, we had to ask for service for the most basic things even though it looked like they were adequately staffed. Most of the food was good, although there was no "Cheese and Fruit" for the Mother's Day brunch. I would give it a second chance, before referring anyone to this restaurant.

We enjoy unwinding here after golfing at The Diplomat. The service can be painfully slow, even when it's empty, but after the wait, the food is good. The setting is lovely. The Links applies an 18% gratuity; perhaps that is why the servers are so inattentive; their tip is guaranteed despite their service.

I enjoy the food, and the waiters are nice enough if you can flag one down and beg him to serve you. The restaurant applies an automatic 18% gratuity; so, the staff just doesn't bother with much service since their tip is guaranteed. The help spends most of their time socializing with each other and ignoring those waiting for food and drinks.

Usually love this spot but service was not so great this time and menu is not varied enough. What we did eat was good. I will return due to the good points and the lovely golf side setting. Outdoor seating is great but indoor is also elegant and comfortable. It is never noisy, so good for conversation.

There were only a couple of dishes that were ok. The New York strip steak was tough even though I asked for the steak to be cooked medium done. There was a chicken bone found in the chicken soup too. Other than that the appetizers, wine, and deserts were all great.

  • Hotel restaurant with a flair!

We don't usually try hotel restaurants when we are away as the are generally rather uniform in choices. However we took a peek at the menu on line and it whetted our appetite! We drove up to the main hotel lobby which was beautiful and we were greeted by the doorman. when we found the restaurant however, there was no one there and we thought we must have come to wrong place where they served only luncheon? Anyway we were glad we stayed. The calabash soup was spicy and delicious and the filet mignon-not at all small -sat on top of truffle mashed potatoes with a chimichurri sauce, added a hot twist to the dish. We also loved the crispy sugared raisin cinnamon bread. This restaurant, though pricey, displays a flair for spicing up old favorites!

We were staying at the Westin Diplomat and decided to try out this restaurant at the golf club. We really enjoyed the food. It was so fresh and tasty. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. We even walked around after. The grounds are beautiful. We will be back on our next vacation.

We could not have found a more delightful spot for a quiet, lovely New Year's eve dinner. The 7 course dinner was absolutely delicious and creative. The waitstaff and the hostess were all warm and friendly. They were professional in their attention to our table. We have eaten there before so we know the food is great on other nights as well. The indoor dining is lovely, but the outdoor bar area and eating area may be even better with rich landscaping, fountains and golf views.

Had a great experience we sat in the patio overlooking the golf course it was a beautiful evening. Really enjoyed the food, we had the filet mignon and the seared snapper. Service was very good and friendly. We were surprised how quite the restaurant was. We will be back next time we are in the area.

We have never heard of Links restaurant before which is located at the diplomat country club. We were very pleased with the food and service. We had the old diplomat sandwich and the green tea salmon dish and they were excellent. Service was very friendly and attentive; it was our daughter’s birthday the waiter and manager surprise our daughter with a birthday dessert, very nice touch.

We had breakfast at the Links before heading out on a cruise. Dining outside on the patio overlooking the golf course we felt like we were at a resort and not in town. Food service, and atmoshere were excellent. We will be back.

Food was fine but very over priced. Very quiet as there were very few patrons. Ordered an appetizer which never arrived. Dinner for two with only entrees and coffee was over $100.00. Lunch is good if you have the time and the weather allows for outside seating. The views of the golf course are memorable. The Diplomat Resort is great, the restaurant is just ok.

We both had fish and it was cooked to perfection. We had very god service and attention from both the hosts and the wait staff. It is a lovely and comfortable environment. We hope to return soon. We ordered calamari and a manager came over personnally to apologize that they were out of it. We switched to the crab cakes and they added and extra one due to the inconvenience. They were very nice about it.
