The Caesar salad prepared table side was very good, but the Sweetbreads prepared table side were already cooked and merely thrown into the saucepan to heat. The experience was very disappointing."

  • "This was our second time visiting Library in the last 5 months. We started with two G&T's and wine. They make homemade tonic and it was WAY to sweet for the drinks. To eat, we had 3 orders of escargot and two orders of soup (she crab and split pea). The split pea is great. The escargot and she-crab was par. For dinner we had 2 specials-14oz. steak w/blue cheese and reduction sauce. For $40, it was not of the quality you can get elsewhere. The third dish was veal and shrimp. This was bland and we were saddened by the lack of taste and perpetration of this piece. In the end, we felt we spent way too much for the quality of what we received. For a dinner that cost the same as a car payment, you would expect something more."

  • "The library was definitely one of the best restaraunts ive ever been to. The wait staff was exceptional, all of the food came out in a timely manner and was cooked to perfection. And the serving sizes werent small at all, I got the Duck L'orange and I got two decent sized leg quarters served with 3 veggies and a salad, and the steak tips appetizer was outstanding as well. I highly recommend this place to everyone."

  • "Smart people eat at the Library. The food was delicious and prepared to perfection. We both chose one of the chef's specials, grouper stuffed with lump crab and a blood orange hollandaise sauce. Our waiter, Chris, was right on time from start to finish. This is our new favorite restaurant and we'll be back. This was a great experience from beginning to end. cocktails drinks, appetizers, wine, dinner, dessert, after dinner drinks............just perfect. The best in Myrtle Beach without a doubt."

  • "French onion soup very good, salmon cooked to perfection, bananas foster delicious, wait staff very attentive. However overall we were very disappointed. Veal dish the waiter said was 'his personal favorite' was very heavily breaded, a FULL description would be better than the waiter's preference. At $36 for a small portion of salmon vegetables should be included. Not told veg a la carte until the waiter arrived with a plate of a few green beans, 2 small potatoes and some carrots. 4 green beans each for additional $8 -really! The salad was included, but was lettuce and croutons only, although the dressing was excellent. Very disappointed overall, and felt as if the restaurant was only interested in my money and not my dining satisfaction."

  • "This experience was everything that we could have hoped for in a restaurant offering the highest quality perfectly prepared foods and service rarely experienced outside of a private club or "country club" setting. I would definitely recommend The Library for special occasions as well as for "foodies" looking for a new experience. We had one entrée as well as one dessert prepared tableside and the presentation as well as the expertise exhibited were phenomenal. The wine list was extensive with several offerings in all price ranges and a wonderful choice of ports to finish the meal."

  • "My first time to The Library was a very pleasant experience. My friend & I were placed next to the fireplace, which made for nice ambience. Since our plans for the evening, included going dancing after dinner, we only wanted a light meal. We shared 2 appetizers and each had a dinner salad. The mushroom caps were to die for. Extremely tasty. We also enjoyed the beef tips and shrimp appetizer. Our dinner salads were included with our appetizers, which was a nice surprise. Our waiter, Chris, was very attentive. All of the staff was friendly and very accommodating. I would definitely go back again to try some of their entrees and recommend it highly."

  • "My wife and I recently celebrated our 2nd anniversary at The Library. It was wonderful. More wonderful for us (maybe not for them) was the fact that we had the restaurant practically to ourselves which allowed our server to cater to and pamper us above and beyond. The service is above and unlike any other you will find in area restaurants. Makes you feel special. And I could tell this would be the case whether we were the only couple or the dining room was filled. The servers are well versed in serving etiquette.The food was very good with preparation not the ordinary found elsewhere. And it was a very pleasant touch to have the general manager engage us in conversation and make us feel so at home. Truly a delightful and unique experience."
