My daughter and I were treated like royalty from the second we opened the door. Chris, our waiter, almost seemed to read our minds and responded quickly and professionally to every situation. He was an absolute delight. We had two items prepared at tableside which he performed with panache and expertise. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the beef carpaccio, she crab soup, and steak Diane. Iam hoping to convince my family to return to myrtle beach next year and the first restaurant we will be going to is the library. The Chef/Owner met us at the door, and was very accommodating when we were running a little late for our reservation. The restaurant itself was very charming. The decor complimented the theme without being too cheesy. There weren't many guests that night so it was very quiet, but this allowed us to feel a bit more special. The food was amazing!! Coming from the Midwest, I was very much looking forward to some fresh seafood, and the Halibut did not disappoint. The Chef even accommodated the teenager in our group who only wanted chicken fingers (an extreme waste since there were so many great items on the menu). We were warmly greeted and they us and gave us a table we had hoped for. Shannon (waiter), and the food, were spectacular. The steak Diane prepared tableside I'd recommend to anyone. No rush here. They said to make our selves at ease and enjoy the event. We dropped $300 including tip, and spent every bit of 3 hours. The main course that are chicken based are typical french chicken dishes and nothing special. The deserts sounded great, but we were too full. The staff and service was unforgettable!!! On the higher end of cost for beach dining but well worth it if you enjoy nice service, good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Arrived on a slow night, received immediate and personal service. Good menu, ample variety with what proved to be sincerely continental preparations. Most impressive wine list. Chose the evening's specials. Beef tip and shrimp appetizer - very moist, tender and flavorful tip with two large sauted shrimp, fresh, to remain tender. Plenty for 2. Table side Caesar salad was quite good if not entertaining. A mellow dressing, a great complex of flavors. Homemade croutons were crunchy but not tough or hard. NY Strip and Halibut topped with an interesting crab and champagne cream sauce; both quite good. Hose vegetable were interesting and flavorful.
