Diner Reviews
  • "Food, service and ambience were outstanding. The Maître d and our waiter were both attentive and charming without being intrusive. Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers and main courses and felt as if we were in our own little anniversary world due to the very romantic location that the Maître d picked out for us. We also enjoyed high tea which we had privately in the library and Jonathon our waiter was witty and attentive and a total pleasure to work with. It was also a pleasant surprise for the maître d to come by and see how our stay and anniversary were going while we were at tea. The extra touches of decorating our dessert plate at dinner and our high tea scones with happy anniversary was very sweet."

  • "This is our 4th visit from Broward County and we can always count on good food and entertainment. The Bar scene is typical: Palm Beach-old rich guys with beautiful younger ladies on their arm."

  • "After many years of attending an annual meeting in Palm Beach, My wife and I finally had the opportunity and pleasure of eating at the Leopard Lounge. The wine list was long enough to cover the bases without being overbearing. I had a sea bass accompanied by a bok choy preparation in soy sauce that was one of the best sea bass recipes I have had. The sauce enhanced the fish as opposed to smothering or hiding it as so many cream-based sauces can be guilty of. My wife had the chicken schnitzel which met all expectations for taste and preparation and overwhelmed on portion. My wife had the lump crab cakes which were easily equal to the previous best and matched our waiter's claim of the positive reviews received from Marylanders."

  • "We happened upon their Tuesday evening prime rib special which was not only a wonderful meal but an excellent special price. Will certainly be going back again. Previously had only been there for High Tea which is lovely but will now add dinner to our visits."

  • "Delicious gourmet preparations of fresh local ingredients and impeccable service in an iconic Palm Beach setting. Would definitely return."

  • "We three went for lunch on Saturday. Arrived at noon, an hour after lunch service began. We were the first ones there, and the staff was not ready for guests. Waiter combined two single tables for us not properly setting out combined table. He poured water, but never asked if we would like anything to drink...iced tea etc. We stuck with water. Upon ordering I requested they leave off an item from my salad, and add a different one..."we can do that". Well they left off the item, but forgot the requested item. All that aside, the atmosphere was excellent. The food Was very good, and overall the staff was friendly and helpful, even though our waiter was having an off day."

  • "The chef does a fantastic job with the selection and preparation of the brunch. All of the standard items, plus caviar, fresh seafood, beef tenderloin (no chuck steak here). Only $75. A relative steal. Not crowded, and easy to enjoy."

  • "The Chesterfield Hotel, in the heart of Palm Beach, is perfect. We had a lovely dinner in their dining room with live music throughout and dancing between courses -- very civilized without being at all stuffy. Fresh fish prepared beautifully, specialty cocktails, good wine that wasn't over-priced; we'll definitely return. "

  • "I believe this is my second review for this restaurant. The first time me and my special someone went for our anniversary and fell in love with the place. This past weekend we went for his sisters birthday and had a blast. It is pricey but if you do not mind spending the money you wont regret and will think every penny was worth it, especially the Chilean sea bass."

  • "We had been meaning to try this for a while and are very glad we did! Service was excellent, not treated as tourists as can sometimes be the case. Food was great and there was a piano player early in the evening then a band to dance to mid evening and back to the piano player later on. Overall a very positive experience and one that we will definitely repeat."

  • "My wife & I took our friends out to celebrate their 32nd anniversary we had very fun evening! Our friends were impressed with the deco of the lounge and restaurant. The food was excellent! I had the filet milon, my wife had the Chilean seabass which she said was the best she ever had our guest had salmon which was excellent and Chilean seabass which received another thumps up! Overall, we will be returning with more guest! Our server was on point! Almost forgot, the DJ was AWESOME!"

  • "This restaurant reliably delivers a pleasurable dining experience. The food is good but not exceptional, with the menu being a litte unimaginative. The staff is very attentive and gracious. The dining room is one of the nicest in town in a bit of an idiosyncratic Old World way with its decor."

  • "Charming old world Palm Beach venue. Dim lights, oak interiors, West Indies Style Art work. Still a few Palm Beachers that look like they were friends of Henry Flagler. Great service, friendly bartender. Varied menu options, good mango chicken curry and shrimp stroganoff. No modern presentation or high end gourmand just enjoyable food. At nine pm piano player stops and good live duo plays. Everyone dances and has a good time. We enjoyed our visit and will return. Good wine list and not over priced."

  • "The best part of our evening was people watching (and of course our server, who was absolutely charming). The food though...let's put it this way, I cook a better meal at home on a whim. It was rather hilarious watching all of the snobs acting like they were eating at some culinary wonder. We may return for the entertainment, but never to dine. FYI-the valet was a rude snot, chastising us for not pulling up to the correct spot."

  • "This Palm Beach gem doesn't need a big sign because it makes a big statement from the time you enter the restaurant from the hotel lobby. Beautiful décor, experienced and charming wait staff, interesting menu and delicious food. Our special occasion was made more so and we hope to return many times."

  • "I find it so hard to sum up my feelings for a restaurant that has exceptional food, fantastic ambience but the most unacceptable service in south Florida. First the good, salad using the best ingredients, seabass, perhaps the best I have had. Now the bad, no bread as they ran out, a waitress that wasn't fit to serve in a poor diner and trying to rush us out of the restaurant when we had barely finished our main course. Dessert, was offered as ice cream and then reluctantly came out to acknowledge the chief was offering the full dessert menu (which was what we expected in the first place)."

  • "What a wonderful evening we had recently at the Leopard Lounge Restaurant at the Chesterfield in Palm Beach.....We had just returned from Paris and found the food, staff, entertainment and ambience to be on a par with any restaurant that we had visited in Paris.....in fact, the food was better! We will definitely return...."

  • "When we arrived the service was little off. It took awhile to get water and menus. Once we did, our server was very helpful and pleasant. We started with their homemade chicken soup that came with a mini pot pie. We could have skipped the soup and went for just the crusty little pastries. Yummy. We ordered the shrimp stroganoff and the steak. Both were well prepared and had great flavor. We skipped dessert and had Chesterfield coffees and then a wonderful time dancing to the music of a live duo that sounded like and full band. The lounge was renovated but happily kept the really cool ceiling. You have to see it. This is a wonderful little jewel in the heart of Palm Beach. We'll be back."
