A word from The Leadbelly
The Leadbelly is a Lower East Side Bar Restaurant from the Silkstone Team (The Fat Radish, and The East Pole). We are inspired by seasonal, modern British cooking and focused on farm-table practices and local sourcing. Our food service emphasizes seasonal small plates, and a wide and daily-rotating selection of oysters. Our cocktail selection is reflective of our constantly meandering interests: from local ingredients, to unique traditions, and forgotten or painstaking processes and flourishes.

Our team sources the finest seasonal and heritage produce from specialist local farms and has created a communal ever-evolving setting that, like other Silkstone locations, is vibrant, approachable, and made by caring hands.

Food was delicious (the scotch egg!!), but our server was rude to us and ignored us most of the time. We were seated, despite having a reservation, at the tiniest little table in the world. Also, I have tried 3 times to get in and only with a reservation was I able to- there always seems to be a private party taking up the whole bar. Drinks were pretty good and it was not so bad but be prepared to be treated like you don't really matter.

Dates love this place. The food is delicious. The lighting is a soft amber glow that accents the soft metal built ins that line the bar. They have the comfort food that girls like and the lighter dishes that I do... And a raw bar. The signature drinks are delicious. Upon leaving it feels like one has just undergone some type of soothing therapy that really sets a good mood for the rest of the night.

We Were a little bite désappointed about the quantity and thé prices of the food... The oysters are not awsome and meals are really small.
