The food here was pretty good and service was great. The atmosphere is not that of a nice restaurant, just something to bear in mind depending on your dinner mates.

My husband and I ate at Lazy Parrot last week and the food was very good- authentic and flavorful! Our server was very attentive and nice as well. Unfortunately we were the ONLY people in the restaurant the entire time we were there! We were there from 6:45-8pm and not a single table came in. I felt really bad for our server and the staff. I am not sure why the restaurant is not doing well- maybe location? Not enough press? who knows but I thought the food was as good as 90 miles cafe or Irazu and those places seem to be much more popular. I liked that it is byob and it is a lot of food for reasonable price. I hope the restaurant survives!

The food was great! Portion sizes were large for the reasonable prices. The waitress was attentive and took her time explaining menu items to us. There is a nice selection of vegetarian foods, and the ones we had were very good. The night we were there the ambiance was quiet and intimate.

Lazy Parrott is a friendly, cozy and simple eatery where the food is what all is about! A very extensive menu of some Cuban and Caribbean favorite main dishes and very tasty traditional appetizers –croquetas, empanadas - truly keep you saying “ummm” . The service is courteous and it gives you time to look through the menu and room to have your own conversation with your party.Very comfortable!
