A word from The Lazy Goat
The Lazy Goat is a Mediterranean-themed restaurant with a menu featuring global influences from Spain, Morocco, Italy, France, Greece, Africa and the Middle East and a relaxed atmosphere where taking the time to "linger and share" is encouraged.

The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes.

Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of that and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like".

Diner Reviews
  • "Had Easter brunch at lazy goat. Food was ok and fixed brunch price was expensive given fair selection and quality. Sobys offers a much better brunch at a similar price point. The egg frittata was dry and rubbery, pretty awful really. The beef was over cooked and dry at the carving station and the ham was also over baked and burnt at the top. The salads were ok but nothing very fancy: Caesar salad, pasta salad. The chicken salad was a highlight. The dessert selection was minimal. All in all the brunch was a disappointment "

  • "Lazy Goat is my favorite Greenville restaurant. Easter Brunch was so not typical of the food quality and dining service I've gotten so enamored with at LG. Food temp was bad, many tasteless selections and the traffic pattern of the lower level buffet was poor. I hope this is not a trend. "

  • "Took my family here for Easter brunch. Price was reasonable and the menu was diverse enough for all (2 adults, 3 kids). However, the food was on the bland side and some of the hot dishes were cold. With that said, the view is super nice and it was not that crowded. We enjoyed our time, but not so much the food. Would not repeat a brunch there. "

  • "The Lazy Goat is one of our faves here in Greenville. This time we were eating light before going to a show. We ordered the Roasted Mussels & Chorizo--which is outstanding, and the Morroccan Lamb, also very good. When we opt for a pizza, we almost always go with the "Duck, Duck, Goat" pizza--which is killer, BTW--but this time we tried the Salumi pizza. A surprisingly delicious change of pace! We also shared the Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee, just enough to satisfy our sweet tooth after such a satisfying meal. All that, plus two premium beers and two glasses of wine, and the check came to $77.22 (with tax, before tip). Great deal!"

  • "My boyfriend and I both got the steak frites which was delicious! It was very tender and juicy as a steak should be! The service was superb and the atmosphere was very up to date. I particularly liked the great view. We will be back and will certainly recommend this place to all our friends! "

  • "This was my 15th time to the Lazy Goat. Their service is always amazing and the food is outstanding. We have brought our 6 year old there with a big group and she always eats. They have hummus, cheeses and meats and they always bring her fresh fruit. She loves it. We also came with someone that is hard of hearing and requested the quietest area they had. They were so accommodating and the area was intimate. It was perfect as always! Amazing patio as well and amazing wine list"

  • "This is one of our favorite places to eat and we go there often. My only suggestion would be to know what you order and amount that will come as the pricing seem to be inconsistent with other dishes. A great place to relax take in the sights and have a slow mediterranean style meal."

  • "This is my favorite restaurant in Greenville! They have a great atmosphere, and the food is to die for. The dining area inside can get a little loud, so if you have a group that can't hear well I would recommend sitting on the patio."

  • "Lazy Goat has been my fiancé and I's favorite restaurant in Greenville ever since we first started dating nearly 3 years ago. We love the menu and it's unique flair. We love ordering a plate of fine cheeses, meats and breads as an appetizer and to enjoy with our wine. The staff is always very helpful and informative. And best of all, the food is always amazing!"

  • "Our waitress was perfect for our group that night. We were on a short leash--timewise--and she got us out on time without making us feel rushed. Her suggestions were spot on. The food, as always, was superb!"

  • "My husband and I had a lovely lunch at Lazy Goat. On a gloomy day, we got to sit at a window table and watch the river churn by. The menu offered many interesting options, all reasonably priced. He chose the Cuban sandwich, and pronounced it tasty. I had the soup of the day, which was a delicious chicken with lentils, and the lazy greek salad, an interesting combination that could have been called an olive salad with orzo and blackeye peas. The salad had no greens in it, which was a surprise, but it was quite flavorful. Service was a little uneven, but very friendly. I had to ask for salt and pepper twice; my husband had to ask for an iced tea refill twice too. We'll go back to The Lazy Goat when we're in Greenville."

  • "Love the food and the tapas philosophy. Service was great. Only complaint is they took "papa's bravas" off the menu!"

  • "This is one of our favorite Greenville restaurants. The food is always well prepared and well presented. The chef here is very creative in the way she uses quality ingredients - in combinations that enhance flavors and textures. We have brought out of town (and out of country) guests here on numerous occasions, so confident are we in the quality. The only ongoing complaint we have is the sometimes overwhelming noise level - especially at times when there are several large tables of diners competing for each other's attention."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "It was great. The noise level probably depends on where you sit. Stuck to the graze menu and it was all great. Our waiter was very knowledgeable didn't rush us, order things like 2 at a time and they keep the pace well."

  • "The Lazy Goat is located along the Reedy river in Greenville, with the dining room having glass exterior walls overlooking the river making for breathtaking views of downtown. This restaurant is part of Table 301, similar to Soby's, The Nose Dive, etc. The food is fantastic, with a slight trend towards Mediterranean. I'd strongly recommend this restaurant as a great spot for a nice lunch or dinner."

  • "Appetizer was hummus and veggies; the hummus was really good. For our entrees, my husband got the duck pizza, which he said wasn't that great, and I got the brik chicken. I enjoyed it, but it was a little oily. Dessert could have been much better; we got the hazelnut chocolate dessert, and it was quite dry. I think this restaurant is beautiful, but the noise level is so loud. We were with another couple and we felt like we had to shout at each other to hear. Service was pretty good, but could have been better, more attentive, etc. If we had not have had coupons for this, I would be upset. But with the coupons, the price was right. Probably won't go and eat downstairs again, but maybe for a drink/meal on the patio once it warms up."

  • "Came to the Lazy Goat for my friends 40th birthday. The food was excellent and staff were very gracious to her for her birthday. Only thing I would change is that they should offer something for birthday celebrations."

  • "As always, we had an amazing night with friends (six in our party total - two of which had never visited The Lazy Goat) enjoying great food, good wine and service that simply can't be beat. Our Server was on top of everything with knowledge of food served, wine available and an attitude that spoke volumes of what true hospitality is in accommodating guest. We enjoyed our dinner, laughed, joked and then enjoyed dessert with coffee and at no time did any our party feel rushed to move on! Mediterranean style dining complete with a European style for enjoying dinner as an event!"

  • "We made a reservation through the Open Table site, showed up on time but had to wait almost 30 minutes. This was unacceptable to me to see people walking in and getting seated while we waited. The excuse was that downtown was busy that night, but that is what we in Greenville want for a Saturday night in February."

  • "We booked Lazy Goat based on recommendations and it did not disappoint. Delicious food, very close to Peace Center, and nice view of the river. A place we'll return when we have tickets to the Peace Center."

  • "Just a few notes... 1) The location and view of the river is outstanding. Outside dining will be incredible in warmer months. 2) The food (Moroccan Lamb and Even Lazier Paella) was incredible. The menu encourages sharing and a group of good friends will make this a "go to" location for sure. 3) The wait staff was very helpful with suggestions for first time diners. Worth every penny of their tip."

  • "We've been to the Lazy Goat many times before. Every time has been great until this one. We made reservations for 7:15 and arrived at 7:15. When we talked to the hostess she told us that they had to get our table set up and it would be about 5 min. 25 min later we were sat. I can understand 5-10 min, but when you make a reservation you expect to get to the place and sit. It seemed that there weren't open tables when we got there which is something that should be planned for. After that opening experience, everything else was fantastic and everything we knew the Lazy Goat was about. I simply write this review so that the restaurant can adjust it's planning."

  • "This was my first time dining at The Lazy Goat and I lived it so much. I was there for Valentines day. I really loved and appreciated the rose we got when sitting down. Everyone was very cordial and the waiter knew a lot about the menu and restaurant. I lived the selection of food and how it was presented. Everything was super delicious and a neat experience. I will absolutely be back!"
