The Lazy GoatBetter than Yummie!!Garlic shrimp and the Mousaka were a delight. Corkage fee was reasonable as well. Aron (sp) was very attentive and the birthday candle in the whipped cream was a different presentation for the occasion.
While all the windows add to the great view of the river, they do daunt dinner conversation a bit. That said, a return visit will be scheduled!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic!Fabulous food. Great view of the river. Wonderful service.
Our table shared the many tapas from all around the Mediterranean, and enjoyed them all. The Falafel Waffles and chicken was superb.
Wine selection was far above the norm.
Only issue was the noise level: difficult to hear across the table.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGrand venueA grand venue wonderful location with very good service. And a pretty nice overlook5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways enjoyable!Haven't been disappointed here. The food is always well prepared and the unique flavors are great compliments. It had such a variety of food and everything was tasty. It was very reasonably priced.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Lazy GoatThis was another wonderful dining experience at The Lazy Goat. We enjoy their lunch choices very much and they cover a wide variety of taste treats. We enjoy the proximity to the Peace Center, for pre- or post-performance dining. The staff is very friendly and efficient. All in all a wonderful time.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe GOAT is tops on my listI've eaten meals all over the world and the uniquely of the Lazy Goat's menu, decor, and location is nothing thaty I've experienced before. the food was tremendous and the views from the terrace were majestic. Thx5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spring eveningWe were lucky enough to get an patio table to look out over the Artisphere activities. We had a couple of the pizzas (the Duck, Duck, Goat is our favorite) then shared the steak frittes. This is the BEST outdoor dining in G'Ville.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat startersThe appetizers were amazing but both my meal and my wife's meal were average at best.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is prepared with greatFood is prepared with great imagination and our server was excellent. The server and chef pushed our order so we could enjoy the great flavor and still make the show. Plan a leisure pace for dinner so you can enjoy the Lazy Goat to the fullest, much as you would enjoy tapas in Madrid.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Night OutTook some co-workers who were in Greenville from out of town, and it was a fantastic experience! Great wine list and cocktails to choose from and it's easy to order a bunch of items to share with the group.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Date Night!Food was delicious! Loved the tapas. Sangria is a must try. Very sweet and flavorful. Over all, very good dining experience!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden gemThis restaurant is a hidden gem. Great food and great service. Highly recommend this restaurant.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful PlaceI so enjoyed our lunch at the Lazy Goat. It was my first time there. My family and I went to celebrate my graduation from Furman, and we loved getting to celebrate at the Lazy Goat.
It's a beautiful location with an outstanding view. I love the open windows, interior design, and "pottery barn" like furniture. The Lazy Goat has a classy and modern feel to it, while providing upscale food selections.
My only complaint was the extremely loud noise level. It was hard to hear the people across from the table talk. However, I'm sure it's difficult to control the noise levels at a restaurant, so I didn't count it against anyone!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this PlaceWe continue to love to eat at Lazy Goat. One of Table 301's best restaurants in downtown Greenville. The fried goat cheese is not to be missed!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat NightWonderful atmosphere, great view (especially sitting outside), excellent food, lots of good variety, and the service was wonderfully accommodating4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMNew Lunch OptionHigh reccomend Lazy Goat as a lunch option with friends or for business. It was wonderful. The view is lovely, the wine list is both broad and well priced and the service was quite good. We'll definitely return to The Lazy Goat the next time we're in Greenville.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe always enjoy dining atWe always enjoy dining at The Lazy Goat. Interesting, fun food and
courteous, efficient service.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLike others have stated, BrusselsLike others have stated, Brussels sprouts were the best. Everything we had had something great about it.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't think of a single thingCan't think of a single thing I would change. I had a thought that you might store some throws/wraps for patrons dining outdoors on cool evenings if they didn't come prepared. (like me). Maybe you already do that. :) Thanks for a memorable evening on our 34th wedding anniversary! A culinary journey indeed!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe menu provided a rangeThe menu provided a range of prices and food options that should make everyone feel welcome. In my field of vision I saw a table with a casual single mom and two delightful little boys, a table of well-dressed senior citizens, and a variety of other groupings. The dining room was busy and full but also there were a few tables available. On Friday night my husband and I stayed maybe an hour, and we felt welcome. Six months ago I had lunch with a friend and probably stayed closed to three hours, and I also felt welcome then.
Good job all the way around!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA Downtown FavoriteLazy Goat is absolutely our favorite downtown destination for great food, personal service and a spectacular view! We are always impressed by the hostesses at the front desk. They are always friendly and sociable! Makes us feel very welcomed.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall a great experience.Overall a great experience. This was a business dinner with clients from out of town. They were just blown away by the downtown area and the dinner at the Lazy Goat was icing on the cake. We had an amazing pitcher of Sangria at the bar followed by dinner on the patio. Our waiter was open and friendly and provided just the right amount of service and attention. The tapas style dinner gave the event more of a communal feel rather than just 4 people eating at the same table. Great for interacting and getting to know new clients. The next day our clients commented that they would have to find reasons to come back to Greenville. Just what you want to hear.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed several appetizersEnjoyed several appetizers as our meal. The Fried Goat Cheese with Pistachio Dust and Vanilla Honey Drizzle was delicious. Papas Bravos which was fingerling potatoes, onions, chorizo chips and saffron aioli, was served to us still very hot and another great dish. Even though I am not an eggplant fan I truly found the Moussaka very good. The staff was great, very attentive. They allowed us to just continue to order appetizers with no rush. All the food was served hot from the kitchen, no delay4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThanks so much for accommodatingThanks so much for accommodating us. It was a special night for me and my family!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMHad dinner on the patio whichHad dinner on the patio which is the best place to relax and enjoy just a bottle of wine or a relaxed dinner. Had both while we enjoyed the great weather and scenery. Mamie provided great service along with the great food that hasn't dissapointed us yet.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Outdoor Dining, Stay and GrazeA friend recommended The Lazy Goat and it did not disappoint. The location in the West End of downtown Greenville can't be beat. We sat outside overlooking the river, surrounded by the wall of water fountains. We took in a light supper and opted to graze on the hummus (just okay) and share an heirloom cherry tomato salad (outstanding - worth trying just for the croutons) and split a couple of pizzas (very good). I would suggest you go with and group and try everything on the menu as it all looks interesting. Our server was terrific and it's the type of place you feel welcome to sit and linger over the view and the food.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMLOVE the Lamb-Burger at lunchThis is the best lunch spot in Greenville! Amazing food and great prices. I could eat the "lamb-burger" for lunch EVERY DAY!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had Easter brunch at LazyWe had Easter brunch at Lazy Goat and it was outstanding. Would def recommend and we'll go again!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMbeautiful, relaxed, a little blandMy wife and I went there for dinner on my thirtieth birthday. The view of the Reedy River and the Wyche pavilion was wonderful and the interior was comfortable and quiet. Though the food was certainly tasty, the recipes didn't quite burst with the flavor I was expecting. That part was a little disappointing. (Our main course was the "Even Lazier Paella.") Though the cost was more than I would normally pay, it seemed to be a good value compared to the cost of other downtown restaurants.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good inThe food was very good in taste however, a little cold. Maybe that is the way it was meant to be served but I like my food warm or hot. The view was great, the restaurant was clean, the waiter was very knowledgable, well spoken and respectful. Overall we had a great time and I will definately be coming back.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great, as usual.Food was great, as usual. Flavors are interesting and fun. Great flavor and atmosphere at a very reasonable price.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed an early dinnerWe enjoyed an early dinner at the Lazy Goat before a concert. The view of the river and the Peace Center is wonderful, and we enjoyed watching the ducks and geese. We recommend allowing at least two hours to enjoy the plates and the wines. The servers are excellent, and keep things coming at just the right pace. And yes, everything you've heard about the brussel sports is true. They're delicious and not to be missed!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThe "Lazy Paella" (with trueThe "Lazy Paella" (with true prawns) was innovative and delicious. The perfectly spiced "Brik Chicken" with roasted brussels sprouts was delectable. The very best food we've experienced in the Greenville-Spartanburg area. Service was unobtrusive, professional, and perfect.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMno one was lazy at THE LAZY GOAT!!This was a GREAT find. Amazing waitstaff and management. We arrived before the restaurant was open, but were warmly greated and taken care of. the outside dining was GREAT-- It was a little chilly- but we asked for it and they accomidated us. The food was fantastic.
Overall a great experience3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMSo SoI had the chicken and falafel waffles and was most excited about the pomegranite (probably spelled wrong) syrup, but could not even taste it when I got them. Also, my friend and I got the large french press coffee and it was terrible. So thick with all the grounds in it we only used it to warm our hands (it was freezing in the dining room) since it was not fit to drink. I normally love the Lazy Goat, but this time was nothing special.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
