The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes.

Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of that and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like".

We came.............we ate and ate ..............and left so happy! We ordered four appetizers and shared them. The standout was the Moroccan lamb, fried goat cheese and garlic shrimp. The branzino was exceptional and the even lazier paella was full of flavor. Don't miss the salted carmel panna cotta, the pear crepes and the white chocolate bread pudding with homemade ice cream. All in all a lovely eveing!

My friend and I ate here and the food was spectacular, we just did a bunch of apps like the crispy Brussels sprouts with Serrano ham and manchego cheese, fried goat cheese in this great honey vanilla sesame sauce and a braised lamb that was fragrant and Tagine like! Delicious! Our server, Chelsea(?), was fantastic she was personable, knowledgable, and attentive . We enjoyed chatting with her about Greenville. My only criticism and it's small, we were the last of 2 tables, and all the servers were sweeping around us. It was noisy and that tends to make guests feel uncomfortable. I'm a server in Charleston, SC. And that's a BIG no no. That being said I'd recommend the lazy goat to anyone, it's a great place all around!

You know you are probably in the right restaurant when: the crowd is happy and young, the room is bright, the staff is smiling and buzzing throughout the space, even when it is raining outside. The tapas are fantastic. A highlight for me was yellowtail tuna carpaccio beautifully presented. This is one of the places which is making Greenville, SC a destination city.

the food was good, the service was okay (i'm being generous here), the ambience was meh... i wouldn't discourage anyone against going, but then again i wouldn't really recommend it, either. i would probably caution them and set some reaonsable expectations for them. the best part of the evening was the appetizer (sorry, forgot what was ordered). the worst part was the service. i doubt i'll go back unless it is for a work dinner (aka, free). i will share that i was pretty excited about dining there for the first time, so perhaps i'd over-hyped it in my head and built unrealistic expectaions. for the price, though, i think there are just too many other great restaurants in downtown Greenville where you'll have a noticeably better experience.

Our first visit to The Lazy Goat will not be our last. We requested a window table and enjoyed the view of the river walk area as we dined. Since my two favorite courses are appetizers and desserts, the menu was right up my alley. The tapas style, sharable plates, were just what we were looking for. The crudo of yellow fin tuna was so fresh, and was perfectly accompanied by the incredible truffle vinaigrette. The house made burrata cheese with arugala and cherry conserve was delicious, as were the fried goat cheese balls, but we would have enjoyed them even more if they were served with the arugala salad as well. The Kobe flank steak and crispy branzino were wonderful, but I cannot stop thinking about the salted caramel panna cotta!

We had a pleasant dining experience at the Lazy Goat. We started with fried goat cheese and mussels. Both were very good. I went on to the "Even Lazier" Paella and it was much to my liking. The others in my party indicated that their choices were good as well. The view of the river below was a plus. We ended up parking in a lot a long block away, which might have been the Fluor Field crowd - we certainly should have done better. Service was a bit uneven - distracted and absent for periods. On balance, I can readily recommend the Goat.

This is our favorite restaurant. We come here regularly and have yet to be disappointed! The restaurant is beautiful and the outside patio area transports you to a European city. My wife has celiac's disease and the wait staff and chefs are very knowledgable and accommodating. Our favorite appetizers are the spicy calamari and the shrimp. Both dishes are so spicy and flavorful. All of the entrees are great. My wife ways gets the steak and I mix it up. We are begging them not to take the flourless chocolate cake of the menu. It is warm, moist, chocolatey goodness. The restaurant is perfect for a special occasion or family dining experience.

The riverfront parks of Greenville are really beautiful. Several restaurants have opened in the area that take advantage of the wonderful setting. The Lazy Goat is one of them. There is a nice outside deck area where we would have like to sit. In spite of our reservation several days earlier, we were told that those tables were taken. There were, however, always one or two open. Instead we sat inside near a window. The food was good. Unfortunately, nothing had much spark to it except for the broth that the mussels came in. Everything else had a sort of “meh” quality to it—OK to good but should have been better. I would definitely return to the riverfront parks, but I think that I will try somewhere else for dinner.

We wanted to take advantage of the Restaurant Week/ 3 courses for $30. All the food was very good, but everyone agreed there was an awful lot of pepper in the couscous as well as the risotto. This was my second visit. I fell in love with this restaurant on my first visit. We had outside seating the first trip so I requested that with the hostess on this trip but was disappointed to learn a large party had taken all of the patio seating. I do feel the hostess station could have been better managed. Several parties were arriving and there seemed to be lots of confusion and no one was seated very promptly. Our server was Tory and she did a phenomenal job. Food and wine was great as usual. Would prefer outdoor table...ambience is nicer outside atop the falling waterworks a nice breeze.

The Lazy Goat is one of my wife's and my favorites downtown. Amazing views of the Reedy, outstanding food (you have to try the Paella), and just a wonderful overall atmosphere inside or out. Our service this time was not as good as it has been in the past, but that is only because our waiter had a big group just winding down as we were sitting down. So we had to wait for him to take care of 12 checks between our sitting down and when we finally ordered. Even with that said, I would still recommend giving the Lazy Goat a try if you've never been, or an encouragement to go if you haven't been in awhile. It's always delicious and fun.
