A word from The Lambs Club
At The Lambs Club, Chef Geoffrey Zakarian has created a relaxed and inviting restaurant serving updated bar & grill offerings. The main floor dining room is open breakfast, lunch and dinner whereas the mezzanine lounge comfortably accommodates daytime meetings or refined cocktails, bar snacks and a full dinner menu in the evening with banquettes and floor to ceiling windows looking out onto 44th Street. Located within The Chatwal Hotel, The Lambs Club provides room service for the 76 hotel rooms and oversees private dining in various event spaces. This landmark masterpiece was originally built and designed by Stanford White in 1905 and reopened after a major renovation and restoration with every detail overseen by architect Thierry Despont.

  • "We showed up for our reservation at six thinking our show started at eight. The hosted asked which show, and she was the one who told us our show was at seven! The entire staff served us in a timely manner and made sure we were out the door in time for opening curtain. We never felt rushed. The staff was amazing and we thank everyone for their consideration. The food was fantastic. Can't wait to return!"

  • "Loving the Food Network, I was thrilled to eat at Iron Chef Zakarian's restaurant. We were not disappointed! Two of us had the Loup de Mer and two had the Amish chicken. Everything was amazing. Our only negative was the wine. Being from California, we are very familiar with wonderful oaky Chardonnay. The wines were over priced. The wine expert who came to help brought two Chardonnays that were horrible."

  • "we were anticipating a great experience and left with it was just ok. the restaurant was nice but not spectacular. the table were difficult to sit at as the bases are large and rounded making it impossible to rest your feet flat. the food was good but not what I would expect from an Iron Chef. The wine list was awesome and they allowed us to try several wines at no charge to see which we preferred. dessert tasted like it came right out of the box very dissappointed"

  • "I've come to respect the words, opinions and advice from Chef Geoffrey Zakarian on the show "Chopped". Becoming familiar with him, I've desired to visit the Lamb's Club for quite sometime and Friday was that opportunity. Chef Zakarian's cuisine was quite the delight as the culinary fare delighted our palette. The meals were most approprately named and both the creative preparation and service methodology served not only to enhance the dishes' flavours and receipt but optical pleasure. The Chilled Sweet Corn soup and Steak tartare were excellent to star off the evening only to be out done by the Amish Chicken. Great wine and desert but the Spagetti was unexpectedly outstanding! Great attentive service and art deco atmosphere. Recommended!"

  • "Hit or miss on some dishes. Black cuttle fish ink pasta (can't rememberwas not seasoned- needed salt and lemon to add some life. Portions are very small. Strawberry mousse dessert was interesting. Jellied candies on mousse detracted from the less-than-yummy dessert. Other guests enjoyed their entres. Very loud even for a NYC night spot. Service was excellent."

I have belatedly discovered The Lambs Club, the restaurant attached to the Hotel Chatwal in the mid-40's between 6th & 7th. Highly recommended before a nearby show. A pre-theater prix fixe menu is a great way to pare the prices, too. Yet you will not be cheated on food preparation and presentation. I've only been there three times in the last 6 months, but never disappointed."

  • "The service was spectacular. Unfortunately, the food was less than mediocre. The only thing that was good was the octopus. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce that complemented it was extraordinary. I had the hanger steak and my friend had the stuffed chicken. My steak looked like little tree stumps surrounding a bed of TOO buttery spinach. It also had round croutons that remind me of the brown bread pieces in Gardetto's. At the end of the meal, all we wanted was the check. It took about 40 min after we finished our 'complementary' dessert to get the bill. By complementary, I mean a waiter made a mistake and our waiter took off the candle and the happy birthday chocolate and gave it to us. We will never be back."

We were here over the 4th of July weekend and, I have to admit, it was a bit more touristy than on past visits -- people were wearing shorts and t-shirts, which is not matching with the otherwise plush surroundings. Food and drinks all beautifully presented, tasted great and service was perfect."

  • "With mixed reviews and some hesitancy on our part, we arrived for a late dinner. The octopus was excellent, rich pasta Bolognese equally good, and the Cote de Boeuf outstanding. Wine selection by Juan was marvelous; he selected a southwestern French red that perfectly complemented our meal. This was an old style meal that satisfied and reminded me of a by-gone era when a white coated waiter ensured a perfect meal. Loved it. "Chris" was our waiter and he managed our meal in a way that charmed us."

  • "My first time having dinner at the Lambs Club was a very positive surprise. The food was beyond excellent. I had the lettuce and tuna tartare appetizers and each was superb. In particular, the lettuce was such a simple dish but the mix of flavors was unique, surprising and perfectly balanced. The Loup de Mer was the best mix of crisped skin and tender meat I have had in a long time. I also tried my friend's hanger steak and it was perfect. Serious foodies must try this place."

  • "We were guests at the hotel, and we were able to dine at the Lamb's Club for both lunch and dinner. I love the décor of this restaurant, I felt like I was on a luxury art deco cruise liner or train from the 1920's. The food was delicious and very uniquely presented. The sommelier was wonderful. He was very personable and knowledgeable. He recommended an excellent wine, and even gave us free tastes of some fantastic desert wine after dinner. We will definitely return to stay at this wonderful hotel and dine at this exceptional restaurant."

  • "When you've run out of ideas for that place to congratulate or celebrate someone special in your life with intimacy and quality time, this is the restaurant to reserve for. It's on the pricey side but the food is well worth it. This restaurant can definitely open your eyes to new dishes you never thought you would try. With Jeff Zakarian being one of my favorite chefs, we had to try this restaurant out. If you try the white asparagus, the Italian Buratta, and the Black Sea Bass, you will not be disappointed. The Black Sea Bass melted in your mouth and was wonderfully plated. The accompanying freshly baked bread was unique and fluffy. It was easy to give this a score especially with our waiter being so friendly."

  • "i never write reviews but this was so bad I feel I have to save people their money...I took an account here for dinner and was embarrassed! The service was terrible! it took forever for the waiter to take our order. When he finally came to take it the waiter kept looking over our shoulder completely disinterested. we ordered a bottle of wine, he poured each of us a glass and never came back to refill the glass. i have to say the manager was very nice and tried to make amends. He didn't charge us for the wine or dessert which was very generous. That said, I will still never go back."

  • "We dined at the Lambs Club for our anniversary for the third year in a row. As usual we were warmly greeted and congratulated on our anniversary. We were seated at a great table (there really are no bad ones). We had a 7:00 show so we booked dinner at 5:00. The staff maintained a perfect pace to keep us on schedule without hurrying us. Fresh oysters from the east and west coast were delicious as was the black sea bass. My wife as usual had multiple appetizers, all of which were great. The meal ended with a nice assortment of sweets complements of the restaurant for our anniversary. We will definitely be back again."

The Lamb's Club mezzanie bar was a wonderful place to relax before dinner... don't miss the warmed nuts; they are amazing! Loved the service at both the bar and in the dining room. The servers from bartender to busboy were attentive and pleasant. We instantly felt welcomed and pampered. Our table was kept spotless and our water glass continuously filled. Impeccable. And then there was the food... there are no words to explain how delicious each and every dish was, not to mention its presentation. We had a wonderful meal and the chef even added a small dish to our dinner to ensure we had nothing but the most exquisite and delicious experience. Amazing! :)"
