I made reservations for my boyfriend and me at The Lambs Club to celebrate our anniversary. We got to the restaurant earlier than we expected so we decided to hang out at the upstairs lounge. Our food was amazing starting from the complimentary bread, amazing entree and sides, all the way to a nice little surprise dessert at the end that said "Happy Anniversary" on chocolate. I was truly touched by the thoughtfulness of the restaurant and the staff. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone whether it'd be for a birthday party, special romantic dinner, or just to eat delicious food!

I first dined at The Lambs Club Bar for Restaurant Week in July, and was so impressed with the food, drinks, decor and service, I picked The Lambs Club for my birthday dinner. The tasting menu featured seasonal tomatoes; with the wine pairings, it was lovely! In addition to the food and service, which is awesome, the ambiance of the room is beautiful. I especially love the dark wood, and red seating. While it may look stuffy and business-like, the buzz from fellow diners is lively without being distracting. If you like intimate and stimulating surroundings to enhance your dining experience, you will love this room.

The food was OK, the service was borderline poor. Waiter "didn't hear"/forgot to put in one of my guest's dessert orders. Drinks were not refilled without being asked. Had to flag our waiter down several times throughout the evening to request another round of drinks, finally got tired of doing so. The room is beautiful, so a very nice ambiance in the theatre district.

Disappointing. We were not welcomed by either host or waiter : drink service slow.arrived at 12:15 because we had 2:00 show ; it was my guests birthday so I thought we would have time for dessert and coffee but service was inattentive and we had to rush to get check without third course. The only people who seemed to care were the wonderful busboys who should be promoted to take place of disinterested waiters.

Have had lunch at the Lambs Club several times and each time I am impressed by the menu as well as the presentation and test of the meal. The restaurant has a good level of energy and the formal service and "club" atmosphere provide great ambiance without being stodgy. As someone who is gluten free, they are very careful about what I can eat and as a bonus serve me especially baked warm and delicious bread...a treat I don't get too many places.

We dined pre-theater on 9/6. Overall, I think this place is more about the "sizzle" and not the steak as it were. The food was certainly good, but overpriced and the wine list is very expensive even for NYC. Service was a little slow and not as helpful as we had questions on the menu and wanted some recommendations. We were sort of under-whelmed by the whole experience.

I was there Sept 6th and spent time at the bar upstairs before my 5pm reservation. The bar was a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon while waiting for my dining companion. Downstairs in the restaurant, we dined on the Pre-Theater 3 Course Pre-Fixe dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. After our show we returned for Post show drinks and enjoyed some late night bites. The meatballs and pretzel bites w/anchovy butter were delicious. A wonderful and elegant dining experience. I recommend this highly and would consider this as my first choice if I was taking in a Broadway show as it's right on W. 44th and in the heart of the Theater District/Times Square area.

We had a very nice dinner. There was the unshakable feeling of it being an off-night though. Some how something as little as the light level was an annoyance. The bar is beautiful but there was a high wattage glare from high LED lights that gave it the feeling of a convention floor. The dining room was also way to bright. I never got a chance to say anything but when they finally realized it and turned them down it still was not enough.

You would think that "The Lambs Club" would be too fancy, too expensive to have a normal lunch - it isn't. I took my guest here as a thank you for a business referral and everything about the experience was perfect. The ambiance is crisp and upscale without being pretentious. The waitstaff is polite, knowledgeable and unintrusive. The food? Well, you can't have everything. Just kidding. My guest had the kale salad and I had the Chicken Cobb, which was a gorgeous presentation and even better tasting. We shared a side of charred broccoli, which was super delicious. Why just eat lunch, when you can dine and have a memorable afternoon (their dinners are just as fantastic, as is the bar upstairs - reservations recommended.) Go, now.

We had a 5:45pm reservation. We arrived and were sat right away. The restaurant was very quite, maybe 20 people during our entire visit. We sat for more than 5 minutes before being greeted and waited another 5 minutes for our drinks. After that service was flawless. We shared a Gem Lettuce and Yellowfin Tuna Tartare to start. The salad was refreshing with light but complex flavors. The tuna was only average(we did however have the best tuna tartar ever the night before at The Sea Fire Grill). The House Made Maccheroni al Ragù Bolognese needed salt desperately and some herbs for freshness would have been nice. The Amish Chicken was perfect in flavor and insanely moist. All portions were on the small side. No room for further review. :(

When I was seated the hostess asked if we were going to the theater. Yep. 8:00 show. The server came over I ordered a drink. As the drink arrived my brother and his lady friend were seated. The server did not ask if they wanted something but walked away. When he did returned several minutes later, he took their order and returned several minutes later with only my brothers drink. 'We're out of the Newton(?)' He suggested another chardonnay. That took the already protracted several minutes to quite some time as we all waited until the sommelier finally arrived with a bottle and a glass. We asked for the check at 7:40 as we finished our entrees. Timing was one issue. The other was a distinct disinterest and a lack of hospitality.

I've been a patron of The Lamb's Club for years. As an editor, I came often for business meals, it was also my go-to before BW and a constant recommendation to out-of-towners. My best friend was here on Friday and our waiter Bhupendr was unhelpful at best. She is vegetarian, he said nothing on the menu with any sort of meat or fish accent could be altered and made her feel like a pest for even asking. She was so disappointed, being a huge fan of Chef Zhakarian and ordered the sole item he said was meat free, a plain pasta. Then when I tried to order the tasting menu, where there were several veg items we could share, he said no, they couldn't time it right. Needless to say we both left unhappy and I'll be trying somewhere new going forward.

This is one of our favorite spots and go when we want a nice upscale meal in the theater district. This time the food was terrfic and creative as always but the service left a lot to be desired. So much so that we may not return. The waiter was efficient, I will say that for him. He was also curt and argumentative with little interest in providing a pleasant evening. This has never happened there before. All of the staff has clearly been trained to cater to the customer but some do it a whole lot more graciously than others. There were several other service issues that evening so perhaps an off night. They were certainly all efficient and the food was delicious but we were glad to leave by the end of the evening.

I don't give "outstanding"reviews out very easily; only two others in all the time I have been with O.T., and I think a lot of my enthusiasm has to do with the pure shock of finding this gem after all the theater we've been to and all the HISTORY it has!(We have a favorite place we frequent, not on O.T.); you are greeted in such a lovely manner, in front and by your waiter;I am adventurous in trying wine, but our waiter made a great choice I did not know;the prix fix had great selections from the menu;BUT the menu is really focused and makes you want to try ALL! I can't wait to return WITHOUT going to the theater; go now, and don't wait for a show; all is worth the wait if you have not been here before, or even if you have;ENJOY all this!

What a wonderful way to start our evening on Broadway! Lambs Club was recommended by a friend and we made reservations before our 8pm show for Kinky Boots. The restaurant was an easy walk and with a 6pm reservation, we had a relaxing dinner on the prix fix 3 course pre-theatre menu. Our waiter was very in tune with our time schedule and made sure we had time to enjoy a cocktail with our first course. I had the Burrata and Loup de Mer which were both wonderful. The Loup de Mer has a perfectly cooked brancino fish filet surrounded by mussels and fennel - delicious light sauce as well. Finishing with the Coffee Semifredo was amazing!

Our food was great, the dining room well decorated and quiet, the menu impressive and the Lambs Club was really set apart by the excellent waiter and his knowledge of the dietary restrictions (food allergies) of one guest. Appropriate courses were suggested (including information on when it would be OK to taste others food or not due to the inclusion of nuts). We really appreciate the attention to detail and had a great time. We will be back!!!

Loving the Food Network, I was thrilled to eat at Iron Chef Zakarian's restaurant. We were not disappointed! Two of us had the Loup de Mer and two had the Amish chicken. Everything was amazing. Our only negative was the wine. Being from California, we are very familiar with wonderful oaky Chardonnay. The wines were over priced. The wine expert who came to help brought two Chardonnays that were horrible.

I've come to respect the words, opinions and advice from Chef Geoffrey Zakarian on the show "Chopped". Becoming familiar with him, I've desired to visit the Lamb's Club for quite sometime and Friday was that opportunity. Chef Zakarian's cuisine was quite the delight as the culinary fare delighted our palette. The meals were most approprately named and both the creative preparation and service methodology served not only to enhance the dishes' flavours and receipt but optical pleasure. The Chilled Sweet Corn soup and Steak tartare were excellent to star off the evening only to be out done by the Amish Chicken. Great wine and desert but the Spagetti was unexpectedly outstanding! Great attentive service and art deco atmosphere. Recommended!

Hit or miss on some dishes. Black cuttle fish ink pasta (can't rememberwas not seasoned- needed salt and lemon to add some life. Portions are very small. Strawberry mousse dessert was interesting. Jellied candies on mousse detracted from the less-than-yummy dessert. Other guests enjoyed their entres. Very loud even for a NYC night spot. Service was excellent.
