The restaurant was excellent. The food was prepared perfectly, the wine selection was outstanding and the service was very professional and not over bearing. Interesting décor, with old actors pictures on the walls, and a real charm and elegance to it. Highly recommended.

We chose this restaurant from an array of celebrity chef restaurants in NY and we were very disappointed. The manager, John had to salvage the entire experience about halfway through. He had to take over and he actually took our main course plates away and we basically went back and started from scratch. The waiter we had was absolutely terrible. We waited 10 minutes to place our drink order, he finally came to take our drink order and asked if we are ready to order ourfood? We waited 20 minutes to get our martinis and it arrived almost at the same time as our appetizers. We went into our main course with no wine and we were never offered any wine. The only thing that salvage the entire experience was John the manager.

Poached halibut was not cooked all the way through (they took it off the bill), Strip steak ordered medium rare served medium well and not a particularly good cut of meat. Chilled corn soup very good as was the bread. Service was very good. This was my daughter's continuing quest to eat at all the restaurants owned by Chopped judges. Zakarian--you've been chopped!

We had dinner for 2 on Saturday Night. It was a special occasion and we requested a nice table. We were taken to the back dining room and seated at a very nice table. The restaurant is smart, quiet but not stuffy in attitude at all. Service is efficient with plenty of time between courses. The wine list is substantial with some interesting selections. There is plenty of choice for all tastes and the prices verge on the reasonable to the exquisite. Food quality is very good but both courses came out only barely warm (mushroom Consume with rib) and the lamb main course. The Consume for the lamb course was too delicately flavoured and a robust Jus would accompany the dish better. Very good but missing something to raise it to the top level.

The Lamb's Club- nestled close to the theaters, it offers a very first-class dining experience...pre-theater menu is reasonably priced, but the restaurant is on the pricey side, generally speaking. Food is beautifully prepared, service is definitely upscale. Very quiet dining during the early hours, quite full and robust by the time we left to make our eight o'clock curtain.

For foodies and oenophiles alike, there is much to make this a palatal playground. We've done drinks in the upstairs lounge, and have always enjoyed dining in the atmosphere of their dining room. Last Friday, however, left us a bit disappointed. We arrived for our 7:15 reservation and were quickly led to our table. Sommelier AJ (who I guessed recognized us) quickly came over and gave us all a glass of champagne on the house. That's where the service ended as once the "theater crowd" left, so did the staff. Our server, who seemed to be the only one left in the place after 7:45, took a long time to bring drinks, take our order, never checked on the table, never asked if we wanted more cocktails or wine. It was disheartening, to say the least.

We ate at the Lambs Club for a pre-theatre dinner. It was very good. They offered both a pre-theatre fixed menu or you can order from the regular menu. The service was perfect. The meal was one of the best I've ever had. The noise level was a bit high for us, we found it hard to have a conversation. The dining room filled very quickly and everyone seemed to be talking - so I suppose that is understandable. The restaurant is conveniently located within walking distance of most theatres and Times Square. We would definitely revisit The Lambs Club.

My Open Table reservation included a "wish" to have Dover sole, my favorite. I'd looked at their menu before I'd made the reservation and didn't see it. So, it on my reservation was more of a wish than a request. When I arrived I asked if they had it, and they said, "yes!" I was overjoyed! I'm still not sure if they ordered it for me or if they often have it. They seemed to remember that the last time I had Dover sole there, the chef deboned it at the table - they seemed to be prepared to do that again before I asked! To put my request in context, the last time I was there was early June, and the current visit was in late September. btw, the Dover sole meuniere was superb.

The food is everyting you would expect from an iron chef. The foie gras and chocolate mousse were the best parts of the meal. The black sea bass was good and the Amish chicken was very moist with nice accompaniments. The butterhead lettuce salad was beautifully presented. Our server started out very pleasant and friendly but towards the end of the meal seamed rude--like he would just as soon forget us. Everyone else that brought food to our table or cleared dishes was extremely courteous and friendly.

I made reservations for my boyfriend and me at The Lambs Club to celebrate our anniversary. We got to the restaurant earlier than we expected so we decided to hang out at the upstairs lounge. Our food was amazing starting from the complimentary bread, amazing entree and sides, all the way to a nice little surprise dessert at the end that said "Happy Anniversary" on chocolate. I was truly touched by the thoughtfulness of the restaurant and the staff. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone whether it'd be for a birthday party, special romantic dinner, or just to eat delicious food!

I first dined at The Lambs Club Bar for Restaurant Week in July, and was so impressed with the food, drinks, decor and service, I picked The Lambs Club for my birthday dinner. The tasting menu featured seasonal tomatoes; with the wine pairings, it was lovely! In addition to the food and service, which is awesome, the ambiance of the room is beautiful. I especially love the dark wood, and red seating. While it may look stuffy and business-like, the buzz from fellow diners is lively without being distracting. If you like intimate and stimulating surroundings to enhance your dining experience, you will love this room.

The food was OK, the service was borderline poor. Waiter "didn't hear"/forgot to put in one of my guest's dessert orders. Drinks were not refilled without being asked. Had to flag our waiter down several times throughout the evening to request another round of drinks, finally got tired of doing so. The room is beautiful, so a very nice ambiance in the theatre district.

Have had lunch at the Lambs Club several times and each time I am impressed by the menu as well as the presentation and test of the meal. The restaurant has a good level of energy and the formal service and "club" atmosphere provide great ambiance without being stodgy. As someone who is gluten free, they are very careful about what I can eat and as a bonus serve me especially baked warm and delicious bread...a treat I don't get too many places.

We dined pre-theater on 9/6. Overall, I think this place is more about the "sizzle" and not the steak as it were. The food was certainly good, but overpriced and the wine list is very expensive even for NYC. Service was a little slow and not as helpful as we had questions on the menu and wanted some recommendations. We were sort of under-whelmed by the whole experience.

I was there Sept 6th and spent time at the bar upstairs before my 5pm reservation. The bar was a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon while waiting for my dining companion. Downstairs in the restaurant, we dined on the Pre-Theater 3 Course Pre-Fixe dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. After our show we returned for Post show drinks and enjoyed some late night bites. The meatballs and pretzel bites w/anchovy butter were delicious. A wonderful and elegant dining experience. I recommend this highly and would consider this as my first choice if I was taking in a Broadway show as it's right on W. 44th and in the heart of the Theater District/Times Square area.

We had a very nice dinner. There was the unshakable feeling of it being an off-night though. Some how something as little as the light level was an annoyance. The bar is beautiful but there was a high wattage glare from high LED lights that gave it the feeling of a convention floor. The dining room was also way to bright. I never got a chance to say anything but when they finally realized it and turned them down it still was not enough.

You would think that "The Lambs Club" would be too fancy, too expensive to have a normal lunch - it isn't. I took my guest here as a thank you for a business referral and everything about the experience was perfect. The ambiance is crisp and upscale without being pretentious. The waitstaff is polite, knowledgeable and unintrusive. The food? Well, you can't have everything. Just kidding. My guest had the kale salad and I had the Chicken Cobb, which was a gorgeous presentation and even better tasting. We shared a side of charred broccoli, which was super delicious. Why just eat lunch, when you can dine and have a memorable afternoon (their dinners are just as fantastic, as is the bar upstairs - reservations recommended.) Go, now.

We had a 5:45pm reservation. We arrived and were sat right away. The restaurant was very quite, maybe 20 people during our entire visit. We sat for more than 5 minutes before being greeted and waited another 5 minutes for our drinks. After that service was flawless. We shared a Gem Lettuce and Yellowfin Tuna Tartare to start. The salad was refreshing with light but complex flavors. The tuna was only average(we did however have the best tuna tartar ever the night before at The Sea Fire Grill). The House Made Maccheroni al Ragù Bolognese needed salt desperately and some herbs for freshness would have been nice. The Amish Chicken was perfect in flavor and insanely moist. All portions were on the small side. No room for further review. :(

When I was seated the hostess asked if we were going to the theater. Yep. 8:00 show. The server came over I ordered a drink. As the drink arrived my brother and his lady friend were seated. The server did not ask if they wanted something but walked away. When he did returned several minutes later, he took their order and returned several minutes later with only my brothers drink. 'We're out of the Newton(?)' He suggested another chardonnay. That took the already protracted several minutes to quite some time as we all waited until the sommelier finally arrived with a bottle and a glass. We asked for the check at 7:40 as we finished our entrees. Timing was one issue. The other was a distinct disinterest and a lack of hospitality.

I've been a patron of The Lamb's Club for years. As an editor, I came often for business meals, it was also my go-to before BW and a constant recommendation to out-of-towners. My best friend was here on Friday and our waiter Bhupendr was unhelpful at best. She is vegetarian, he said nothing on the menu with any sort of meat or fish accent could be altered and made her feel like a pest for even asking. She was so disappointed, being a huge fan of Chef Zhakarian and ordered the sole item he said was meat free, a plain pasta. Then when I tried to order the tasting menu, where there were several veg items we could share, he said no, they couldn't time it right. Needless to say we both left unhappy and I'll be trying somewhere new going forward.
