Diner Reviews
  • "Excellent food, a very fun experience. Waiter was overworked and the deserts were smaller than expected but other than that it was excellent. What mattered rocked and everything else was acceptable. A little rowdier than expected. Definitely a fun and repeatable experience however."

  • "The service was exelent the food super good the line for the steak little slow but good food. The server super nice"

  • "Wanted my steak rare and was told I was given the best they could which was medium. Salad bar portion and the sides were OK and the bottle of wine was OK as well. The grill portion was not what I expected much like Golden Coral at over twice the price."

  • "Great service and ambiance with great food. No rush by servers."

  • "I usually never write reviews but this place DESERVES one! I took my boyfriend here as a surprise for his birthday. It was our first time there. Our waiter (whose name I can't recall) was a young man and he was great! Very attentive and polite and treated us great. The food is to die for with only a few complaints. The ribs were a tad bit too salty. But the steak is to DIE for! Also the sides were relish! I will definitely be returning to this place in the future."

  • "The food was mediocre at best. Its not a brazillian steakhouse, so that means they dont come around with the meat and serve you. Its all buffet style."

  • "The best way I can sum up my experience is by categories otherwise my review will be a short story. lol customer service I give 5 stars, atmosphere I give 2 stars especially with the screaming, wild kids and a few flys that wanted to enjoy my meal along with me. The meats I give a 1 1/2 for chicken that was overcooked and cut your lip dry, pork I give a 3 as the loin was ok, ribs were dry on the ends but had good flavor. Oh the sausage link I give a 1 as it was over salted and super greasy and fatty inside. Best meat by far was the beef ribs and the rump roast. Hot sides we tried were the rice I give a 2, sweet potato fries I give a 5 and the empanadas I give a 3. If they weren't soggy and greasy underneath. Only use a groupon here."

  • "My wife and I went to the restaurant one night for dinner. The salad bad and cold sides were a little disappointing, but the meats more than made up for it. The meat was very good, had good variety, and the cooks cutting the meat for you were very nice. The main all-you-can-eat meal comes with a drink, beer, or bottle of wine each. Yes, an entire bottle. The downside is that if you don't finish the wine (or don't even open it) you can't cork it and take it with you. Good dinner for the price and I will definitely be going back."

  • "The atmosphere was terrible - hot, blaring television, tables set too close together, and completely buffet style. Service was terribly slow. Would have walked out immediately if I hadn't bought the Groupon already. Food was only okay."

  • "This restaurant was great . The food was excellent real Argentinian taste from their empanadas , chimichurri , and meat . The customer service was outstanding . Everyone was on point . The money is well worth it . Giovanna was our server and she was fantastic she had a great customer service skills . The managers are all working and attentive . Mr Carlos Sosa was making sure the customers were not lacking anything . At one point I was by the grill getting something and one of the managers noticed the line getting just a little long and he put on some gloves and got behind that hot grill and made sure he moved that line . If you want to eat good and enjoy some cuts of meat I would recommend it to anyone ."

  • "My husband had been wanting to try the Knife out for some time, I decided to take him for Father's Day this past weekend with our two girls. Upon check in we were blasted with the noise from the entire restaurant as the World Cup was on, the hostess couldn't even hear me and that make check in a bit abrasive to begin with. We were seated within a few minute right by the buffet, which had flys swirmming on it, gross! I'm already not happy, how did the flys get in here and then we notice it's actually pretty warm in the restaurant as well. It was very busy to say the least, hot and there were bugs on food. our waitress arrived shortly, we couldn't really hear her either. Buffet was meh, meats were decent. Don't think we are ever going back."

  • "The food was very good. The ambiance was a good 6 out of 10. Great value for the dollar but it could use a little more Argentinian feel to the restaurant. The staff and the owner were very accommodating."

  • "I took my family for the first time to the restaurant to try it out. We made the reservation on open table, and as busy as they were, as soon as we got in they called us to the table. It took a while for the server to come, but when he came, he was very unprofessional. He didn't explain how the restaurant work well, and he seemed like he didn't care. The food was excellent, but the server also forgot our sides that we asked for. Also, when we went to get the meat, there was a person clearing our table like we had left. Took our food and utensils and he didn't even bring back us new ones. After that incident I just wanted to leave. We were celebrating my brothers birthday, and I didn't want it to be ruined."

  • "We are in Orlando on vacation and decided to try something different. We arrived at the restaurant around 9:00pm...they close at 11:00pm. The salad bar was in need of being refreshed...looked as if it hadn't received any attention in a while. The meat selection was large, but much of it was very dry...as if it had been cooked a while and was just sitting on the hot grill to dry out. The grilled vegetables were OK, but potatoes were hard and undercooked. Not really worth $28 per person, in my opinion. "

  • "A must do for anyone local who loves meat!. Great dining experience."

  • "More meat and grilled vegetable selections than you can imagine, fresh from the coals, all you can eat. Yummy hot and cold sides, lots of details like several house-made sauces like chimichurri and more. You also can enjoy a bottle of wine per person or unlimited tea/soda drinks and a single dessert selection (desserts are amazing). The night we went (weeknight) was just $28 a person. Amazing value and unbelievable food. I hope this relatively new company continues to add more locations (currently has one in Spain and several in Florida) Loved the food, concept, and experience. Great staff as well - loved dining here."

  • "First time at this restaurant but I have frequented texas de brazil and fogo de chao many times. There is no comparison. Although this restaurant was an Argentine steakhouse, the concept was pretty much the same. Unfortunately the food and service was far below the quality expected. There was little explanation by the server and the grill attendant was rude and acted as if we were inconveniencing him despite there maybe being 5 tables filled in the entire restaurant at 1pm on a Saturday. The salad bar was disappointing and it was blatantly evident the dressings were not made in house. Definitely not worth the $29 per person."

  • "Excellent food and service, great location and ambience!"

  • "The waiter did not explain the concept well. He did not know anything about the wine list, so we ordered no wine. We both agreed that the liquor in or mixed drinks was old and had changed taste. The grill area could not articulate the meat selection or cuts well. The salad bar was blan and you hace to order each side and wait. My daughter did not want to eat so the waiter sent the manager over to talk her into eating (unprofessional). It was a buffet but you only get one small dessert. The meat had a good taste."

  • "Server was energetic and very hospitable. The atmosphere was nice and casual. Some of the meats were tough to chew, however the salad bar was quite fulfilling. Great for lunch amongst friends and family."

  • "Food was ok and service was average. No complaints for the price, but this is not what we expected for a Brazilian steakhouse. Again, price was low compared to your average Brazilian steakhouse, so get what you pay for. The house wine was undrinkable."

  • "Not thrilled about everything buffet style. All you can eat is nice but the wine that comes included with the meal is mediocre. Empanadas seemed microwaved, not crispy and fried. Other than that food was good, not great. Nothing spectacular about this place, only ok."

  • "We were looking forward to going on the recommendation of a coworker. The meat is cooked over a charcoal grill, along with vegetables. Everything looked charred and burned. It also tasted dry because it was sitting on that grill for soooo long. The staff was friendly enough, from the waitress to the guy cooking the food. We ordered Sprite, but it tasted like soda water. Come to find out, they ran out of syrup for it. I opted for lemonade, but encountered same thing. Waitress finally said they changed the syrup box and then brought us new drinks, but they then tasted like sewer water with sugar. Nasty! Overall, not a good experience. Needless to say, we will never go back! Texas De Brazil, we will never desert you again!!!"

  • "There was a very large party seated in the main dining room. Extremely loud - they overpowered that side of the restaurant. Though I had made a reservation, the other side of the restaurant was completely booked. Sitting at the bar was the "farthest" I could get away from the large group. It was my first time at "The Knife," so I chose to stay. It was simply too loud to enjoy any ambiance that the restaurant had to offer... The bartender was quite accommodating, affable - and apologetic. Regardless, that group should have been placed in one of the private dining sections - which I came to find out was one of the restaurant's seating options. Puzzling...."

  • "My experience was top notch. The food is fantastic, the service was great from the entire staff. They make you feel welcome from the time you walk in to the time you leave. The grilled meats are second to none. I will be going back."

  • "My brother and his family were in from CT to visit. I wasn't aware of your restaurant until a friend recommended it. I was pleasantly surprised that a buffet could actually have great tasting food. Even the salad bar had great variety. The vast choice of meats was wonderful. The only blip (a very small one) was that we had a hard time understanding our waitress. She had a very thick accent and she spoke so fast that we had to call her back to clarify her instructions. We also had to have her repeat the side dishes several times. It was as if she was pressed for time even though the restaurant wasn't very crowded. She was, however, very good about clearing our plates and bringing more drinks and side dishes in a very timely manner."

  • "I had seen this restaurant many a times in passing through the Lake Buena Vista area and was always intrigued. I have never been to an Argentinian barbeque restaurant before and was under the impression it was similar to the Brazilian barbeque places of which I have heard (also have not been to one as of yet). Was a little overwhelmed by the experience- there were many items on the salad bar, but no labels, however the friendly people working the grill were great to offer the different meats, even offering requested levels of doneness, and were not stingy with the portions. We knew the staple of the cuisine was the meats, however found that one of the favorite items came from the cheese selection- terrina. Will be back for sure."

  • "I learned a lesson to never try out a restaurant for the first time with out of town guests. Although the restaurant itself was nice, clean, and had a nice feel to it, the food was a great disappointment. I feel embarrassed to have treated my guests there, one of whom specifically requested steak, but the meats were quite dry and didn't have much taste. I should have known walking in as I was not hit by any overwhelming, mouth watering smell of meat! Other places are not as deceiving. Even though it was relatively inexpensive for an all you can eat meat place, you get what you pay for. Too bad..."

  • "Since discovering the chain "The Knife" a few years ago in south Floriday, we were hoping to have one near us. Opening this location in Orlando was great. It is well located and easy to get to from all over greater Orlando. The decor, food, service and overall experience is great. We love taking friends and family there, they are all excited and impressed by the variety and quality. As long as "The Knife" is open, we will come back as often as we can. And we spread the good word to anyone who will listen :-) Thank you Ariel and the rest of the team."

  • "This restaurant is similar to a Brazilian Buffet place we'd visited in San Diego, CA. As we entered we immediately noticed the scent of succulent meats grilling. Once seated I proceeded to the salad bar, where I noticed the following: various cold cut meats, pickled red onions & bell peppers, couscous, ceviche, and various other vegetables and rice dishes. We were pleased w/ the service, quality, and flavors of our meals. If you are in Orlando, FL and have a big appetite, be sure to visit the Knife Restaurant. I’m sure you’ll leave w/ a happy and full tummy."

  • "We had a very bad experience! The salad bar was mostly empty bowls but what was there was cheap packaged salads. The soup pot was empty but was refilled after about 20 min. The experience is nothing like the more upscale Brazilian steakhouses. walking up to the meat bar was a very rushed experience and we were presented with a grill full of uninteresting meat. The lamb carcass looked like it had been there for days and was only bones. I would not recommend this establishment. Service was the best part of the night, waitress was nice."
