The Kitchen - DenverExcellent food, fresh, organic,Excellent food, fresh, organic, great find in the Denver dining scene!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGood ExperienceWe tried several appetizers and had great entrees. Our wine was good even though one of the least expensive. The pigs ears are a little weird (taste like strong pork rind) but all and all a very good experience. The sticky toffee pudding is amazing.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was amazing and we willFood was amazing and we will defiantly be back soon. Our waitress was very awkward and service was slow (my in laws had joined our party and weren't greeted or asked for a drink order for 10+ minutes.) Overall, we love the kitchen!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMS L O W service! The Kitchen is one of our favorite Denver restaurants. The food is always perfect, but this last visit, the service was painfully slow!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA Woman's Place......is definitely in The Kitchen Denver - with girlfriends, a glass of vino and superb food (an no dishes to clean!) Can't go wrong with the lamb burger or the penne, or really almost anything on the menu. Great, friendly staff.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurant on 16th StreetWonderful food.

The decor was awesome, very lofty looking & yet elegant, the food and service were perfect. I loved the fact that you can dress-up or come somewhat casual.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe halibut was excellent; The halibut was excellent; it was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. I would go back just for the halibut.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMI took a few out of town guestsI took a few out of town guests here this past week for dinner--we were all happy and full when we left! We loved the ambiance and had a great server (although he never told us his name). Unfortunately, my fiance's pork was a little too salty. I had the hanger steak frites at the recommendation of our server; it was okay, but not fantastic. The meat itself was pretty good but I guess I expected more from the french fries. Of course, they're french fries, but I think I expected them to be baked as opposed to fried--they were a little bit more greasy than I expected, probably because most everything else on the menu is very healthily prepared. All in all, it was a great experience and we will definitely be back to try again!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first visit toThis was my first visit to The Kitchen. The menu was diverse and creative and nothing disappointed. The staff was attentive and had a thorough experience with the menu. And, the bartender made a perfect Coin Margarita. Thanks for a lovely meal.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGood, but not GREAT!Wasn't wowed by the food, but it was good. We shared four appetizers. Wine was fantastic. I would probably go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMHip, upscale restaurant thatHip, upscale restaurant that sources local ingredients for wonderful food pairings.
Small plates for sharing as well as large plates for main meal. Great soups and salads with a wide selection of dishes to choose from that would make vegetarians happy too.
Loved the tomato soup drizzled with walnut oil, the portabello sandwich with fries and the rib-eye steak. Stark interior that fits into the LoDo area. Great bar.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMHad an absolutely wonderfulHad an absolutely wonderful meal with excellent service. This was my first time at The Kitchen, and I would definitely recommend it.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was fantastic...food,Everything was fantastic...food, surroundings, etc. The waitress was a bit snooty and not very attentive at first and it took awhile for us to get our drinks, without any apology. If our waitress would have better, it would have a been a perfect evening.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAs a vegetarian, it was niceAs a vegetarian, it was nice to have innovative dishes offered. Can't wait to go back!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMJust a nice local communityJust a nice local community bistro with artisan products and local food. I am glad there is one now in Denver...a bit closer to where I live.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster brunch with my parentsEaster brunch with my parents in from Ft Worth, TX. Great atmosphere, and great food!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first dinnerThis was our first dinner at The Kitchen in Denver. It was perfect! The food, the beer and wine list, and the service could not have been better. The wait staff overheard us mention that one of the two couples was celebrating 30 years of marriage. They brought us all free sparkling wine and comped our dessert. This was over the top in hospitality. We can't wait to return.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWow!An absolutely incredible dining experience in every sense...unique, excellent menu, great food, impeccable service and a wonderful environment. One of the best meals I've had in years. Relatively expensive, but worth every penny.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBest chicken! The Wisdom Farm chicken was some of the best chicken I've ever ordered in a restaurant. It was tender, juicy and extremely flavorful. The accompanying couscous was light and crunchy with cucumbers and almonds. I usually don't order chicken when I dine out but I'm so glad I did this time. I'll be back!3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious!! Our bartender,Delicious!! Our bartender, Melvin, was extremely helpful and paired each of our dishes beautifully. Wonderful experience!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good, but a bit overpriced.Beautiful space for a great dinner. Service is some of the best I've experienced in Denver. The food was very good, although slightly overpriced; you can find food equally as good, if not better, for slightly less in town. As a connaisseur of Cassoulet, I was not especially excited about their offering; the flavors seemed unnecessarily discrete, and the breadcrumbs seemed inappropriate to the entire dish.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMNice option for business dinnerRecently had a business dinner at this location. The staff was excellent and did not interfere with the conversation. Of note -- we were at the restaurant for quite a while and felt no pressure to give up our table. I appreciated the courtesy.
We were seated near the bar and found it easy to hold a conversation.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAs usual, The Kitchen excelledAs usual, The Kitchen excelled in seafood. The Scottish salmon over lentils was very tasty and my friend's 3 meat bolognese was very good too. The arugula salad was very fresh. The waiter was very attentive and friendly
And the space is light and pretty. The only reason I gave the food 4 instead of 5 stars is that Denver's food scene is so darn competitive!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time checking it outFirst time checking it out this week for a business dinner. Will definitely be going back to take my wife. Food, service and ambiance were all perfect. Highly recommend.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMService was very friendly,Service was very friendly, and cassoulet was the best we've ever had.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGet past the Hostess or Greeter andI do not understand why the Hostess or Greeter at the front door of so many wonderful restaraunts ruin it for you when they take you to the worst table in the restaraunt, especially when you are there early and all of the tables are available. It sets the whole tone for the evening and while everything else was perfect it is not my favorite restaraunt. I will go to one where I am made to feel welcome, where when I make a reservation I'm able to sit at a decent table. There are plenty out there who do it right.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best in DenverThis was our third time dining at the Kitchen and it was outstanding. Our server was very personable and attentive---the food was delicious and even though all the tables were taken I noticed that they don't cram them in --but rather allow some space whch cuts down a bit on the noise and provides an element of excellence. The kitchen is all about quality.1/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Kitchen is an exceptionalThe Kitchen is an exceptional restaurant in every way- fantastic food, great service and beautiful decor. My husband and I decided to share the special four-course menu. For an appetizer, I had the parsnip and vanilla bean soup and he had the farm baked egg, a pancetta with lobster, thyme and fennel- both were amazing. For the next course, I had a house-made tagliatelle with sunchokes, rosemary and parmesan and he had a salad of grilled chicories, apples, golden beets, walnuts, blue cheese and banyuls vinegar. For our entrees, I had farro and roasted squash with almonds, parsley and cumin yogurt and he had scallops, mussels, apple, fennel and potato- both choices were delicious! The dessert was a chocolate custard tart with creme fraiche.12/31/2012 12:00:00 AM
