  • "Last minute I realized I needed to find a spot for Easter brunch for myself and one other person. It was Saturday night when I stumbled across your page. I was worried I wasn't going to get reservations but within minutes I was able to online book reservations for the exact time I wanted. When I got there I was thrilled! It was beautifully decorated for Easter, and the Easter bunny being there made it perfect! The layout of the food was beautiful and I felt myself getting highly disappointed when I got full. Brunch here made me never want go home for Easter again!"

  • "I had a reservation at 3:45 for 14 people for Easter brunch. We had 5 kids and after we sat we were told that the buffet and kids decorating station for cupcakes etc... Will be closing at 4pm. That was very unreasonable, why would you accept reservations that late and rush everyone through an Easter brunch. Especially for the amount of money being charged."

  • "The buffet was great! It was also expensive at 48.00/adult diner. Lots of different hot and cold items and a vast variety of foods to choose from. It was also festively decorated for the holiday. Waiter service was exceptional . An easy walk to Universal and City Walk. I would go back next year."

  • "Went for Easter brunch for the second time. Had a great experience last year. Food and atmosphere still very good, but service was unacceptable. Didn't handle breakfast-brunch transition well - waited twenty plus minutes with a reservation even though there were plenty of open tables. Under/poorly staffed - waiter got drinks and then disappeared for the rest of the meal - no water, refills, or follow up. Had to aggressively flag him down to get the check. Will try somewhere else next year."

  • "We were there for the Holiday's and the Chef had prepared a special dinner and dessert. The service was excellent and the food was very good."

  • "After a long day of rides and some relaxing time by the pool. This local spot hit it right. The short beef and ricotta dumplings were very tasty and unusual. The Panko crusted tomato with mozzarella slices with a light spring salad was delicious. The bourbon pork chops were deliciously cook perfect and the mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful. The side dish of corm edamame and diced bacon succotash was delicious with a hint of spice. The kitchen burger hits the spot with the secret sauce and onion ring on the brioche bun. The food and atmosphere were great. Only complaint was main dish came out before appetizer plates were cleared. Oh and I almost forgot the watermelon martini was awesome."

  • "The food was pretty good- I enjoyed the rosemary cornbread and soft pretzel sticks served at the table (on gigantic guitar-pick-shaped serving plate), the cobia dish I had was quite tasty (nice meaty fish served with a nice white bean puree, Swiss chard and some sort of sweet/berry sauce for accompaniment) and the banana bread pudding for dessert? Yes, please I'll have another. I ordered coffee at the end of the meal, expecting a cup and it came as a big French press pot. The ambiance was cool- kind of modern rock kitchen- despite being sat near the kid's corner. Did not expect the character dining and buffet (kid option I assume). While the server was cool and easy to talk to, service was slow."

  • "We went on a Saturday when the characters visit. We saw Bart Simpson and Scooby. Of course we were hoping we'd see a Minion or Gru, but our son was excited to see Bart and Scooby none the less. Patio was good, but the noise from the pool and the fact that a walk way separates you from the restaurant were a draw back. Didn't really feel like we were dining AT the restaurant."

  • "We walked here for dinner one night after visiting Universal Studios. My husband and I split a flat bread and salad ~ we'd had a huge lunch ~ and it was plenty of food. My son enjoyed the kids steak. Highlight of the meal was the spicy margarita and the pretzel bread. Would absolutely return."

  • "I booked this restaurant specifically to see the characters from Despicable Me, a picture of which was on the Universal website. We saw Scooby Doo and Homer Simpson. Apparently the Despicable Me characters only show up on holidays "if we are lucky" and Bart Simpson had a skate-boarding accident that day. I was really disappointed because I booked it specifically to see Gru and Minions, per the picture. It was a long drive and problems finding the restaurant (the Palm thought I said I was looking for caricatures, not characters so I panicked when my husband and child that I had dropped off could not be found and the staff looked at me like I was crazy because they hadn't seen them). Food was great and the kids buffet was a great idea."

  • "Casual enough for the family but still grown up enough for couples too. Extensive menu. Good selection of basics like mac and cheese and burgers, but also nice fish dishes and others for the mature palate. Only dish that left a bad taste in my motuh were the shrimp tacos. The mayo based sauce had definitely gone bad. Prices were a bit expensive, but not unexpected for a theme restaurant. Good bar selection! We have older kids, so this place was great for all of us."

  • "Decent but not outstanding restaurant at a predominantly tourist hotel. Food and service good but not particularly noteworthy. High priced wine list. Reasonable choice if staying at Hard Rock Hotel, but other Universal restaurants offer better quality. Does have an excellent (but pricey) breakfast buffet."

  • "Had reservations for character dining. Only characters that were there were Bart and Homer Simpson. We told the hostess it was our daughter's birthday and she said it would be noted but the waitress never said or did anything. Service was poor even though the restaurant was practically empty. One of our meals came out wrong and we waited a really long time for a new one. The waitress said the manager would stop by but when he did he didn't really apologize and just asked if the meal was right this time. We ended up speaking with the manage of the hotel who took care of the bill for us. That went above and beyond since we just wanted to feel heard since the restaurant manager just kind of brushed by it. I would not visit The Kitchen again."

  • "Located in the Hard Rock hotel it was a good option for those who don't want to eat at a crowded theme park restaurant. Food was good but appetizers are definitely for sharing as the portions are very large. Restaurant is a long walk from the parks if you're not ready for it so take the water taxi from Citywalk to the hotel. Bread was delicious and fresh. They also have a decent gluten free menu for those with allergies."

  • "This was our first stay at the Hard Rock Hotel and I had pre-booked a table at The Kitchen before we arrived as were a party of 10 and thought we would struggle to find anywhere to eat as it was New Years Eve. The priority for us was that we could all be together and so our expectations were not very high.We have had some poor experiences of buffet style evenings with them being like school dinners. This was nothing like it!!! The food was really good quality and there was plenty of it - if anything there was too much choice! There was great seafood and a lovely Carvery (the rack of lamb was delicious) and the vegetables were nicely cooked. There was a great atmosphere and the Service was good. We had a fantastic evening - thank you!"

  • "During a one-week stay in Orlando, we went with our party of 5 to The Kitchen for our X-mas eve 2013 dinner. We expected a great deal from this evening in Hardrock Hotel. But regretably, we were not at all satisfied with our visit. The place is grate, nothing wrong can be said about the hotel or the restaurant. Everything looks nice, we were welcomed in a warm way by two very nice young ladies. Once at our table however, things weren't good anymore : the service was poor - up to 3 times our orders were executed wrongly. The food was not good at all. I choose the X-Mas Eve Menu (48$). The soup was very good, but the rest was very poor. We had better food at "Outback" for example, for less money."

  • "We made a reservation for (3-people) on Christmas Day. We were not told that we could not order from the menu until arriving at the restaurant. I was obligated to purchase (3) over-priced buffet meals. The food was excellent but we do not have buffet appetites, however at that point we could not easily find another restaurant on Christmas Day. The hotel charged $20 if you park your car for more than 15 minutes. The over priced buffet and parking ruined an otherwise beautiful experience. After 1-hour at the table we were told we needed to make our final selections since the buffet ended. The hotel is beautiful and the ambience is good to excellent. The service was fair to medium. Children were in the area the noise level was acceptable."

  • "The food was delicious....prepared per request, plated beautifully, and served promptly. Our only complaint that it was after 9pm, not very busy, however, a group of approximately 8 unsupervised children were seated next to us. They were yelling and running amuck. When we questioned the situation, we were told that a family member had dropped them and a charge card off so that they could have dinner. It's nice to know they have a babysitting service in this restaurant!!"

  • "The day we went there was very little people there, so the experience was very nice and quiet. Food was outstanding, drinks delicious and the magician entertaining. He came around to each table. All meals were amazing. Service was slightly slow for the volume of patrons, otherwise excellent experience"

  • "Considering this is a buffet, service really should'nt be an issue. All the waiter is responsible for is your drinks, offering you the included ice cream & bringing the check. This overwhelmed our waiter. We never got 8 waters for a table of 8. Had to hunt him down for our drinks was never offered the included dessert. The way he said it we thought he was offering us something else to spend money on. Because we were a party of 8 (7 adults 1 child) there is a built in 18% tip. That means our bill was close to $700.including drinks tax & tip. That's a fantastic tip for no service. On the up side the food at the buffet was mostly restocked, fresh & good. Also, the hostesses gave us an attitude even though we had reservations for months."

  • "Reservations made for thanksgiving on Vacation in Orlando 3 months in advance, 6:15 seating - 4 kids under 8 - overbooked so we were seated outside ( cold night heat lamps broken) at a card table instead of inside with "characters, magicians etc) when I asked to be put inside I was told I would have a long wait which I could not do with hungry children - I spoke to manager who gave is complimentary drinks but I would have rather been inside in the warmth and with the kid activities."

  • "I got 20 minutes in advance and couldn't check in, I was requested to walk around and be back 5 minutes in advance, whick I did, but I was able to get in half an hour later after speaking to the person on charge and mentioning I had an small kid with me. NO MAGICIAN, AT ALL. Nice!!! Kids were expecting that because it was advertised and we mentioned. Food, didn't like it at all, and not quite organized."

  • "We had the breakfast buffett and I must say it's one if not the best one I've attended. Ford was hot, choices were pelntiful and the wait staff very friendly and on point. This is definately the place for breakfast out of all three hotels, very kid friendly as well."
