The King's KitchenSouthern GoodnessI took my family here, who was visiting North Carolina (and the South for that matter) for the first time, for a taste of the South. They loved it! Our server was engaging and entertaining, and the food was delicious. This place is great for lunch too.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat foodTry the bacon cornbread. Outstanding! GreatWe plan on coming back. Great southern favorites. Delighted to find butter beans on the menu and corn bread was moist. Too many southern diners serve dry cornbread and I just don't understand why such a simple item cannot be done right.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe ended up with a group ofWe ended up with a group of nine for our meal at King's Kitchen which included three kids from ages 4 - 11. We were given a small private room which was cozy and very convenient so the moms in our group didn't worry too much about their kids disturbing others.
Our server was excellent - providing great advice and letting us do a few tastings of various wine and beer varieties before making a decision.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSurprise date nightThe perfect spot to start our date night after 13 years of marriage

Upon getting our food, I was very impressed with the quality of everything (and I am a big foodie considering I was married to an executive chef for over a decade). The pan fried chicken and flounder were amazing -- both only lightly fried so not heavy at all. If you want to support a community-focused business who gives all profits back to the community, you must not miss King's Kitchen.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAn Awesome ExperienceWhat a wonderful concept, dining out while helping the community. The food and service were very good. Our waitress was very friendly. Some very interesting menu items that were all very well prepared and presented.2/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
