A word from The Kensington Cornerstone Restaurant
The Kensington Cornerstone is Toronto's premier Gluten-Free restaurant. It’s where Celiacs and the Gluten-Sensitive can bring friends and family for a satisfying meal. As our customers say, “You don’t have to be a Celiac to enjoy this food. It’s just delicious. Period.”

The newly-refurbished Cornerstone now offers a full-service bar, world-class espresso, and an atmosphere that's warm, comfortable, and sexy.

A recommendation from other Celiacs prompted us to have dinner at Kensington Cornerstone on our visit to Toronto on Thursday. We were so delighted to be able to have a nice meal at a dedicated gluten-free restaurant, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious! what more can this happy happy Celiac say.

I enjoyed the patio and the food. I had one little problem about the Reservation service. Even though I made reservation they didn't have a reserved seat for us. I only had to stay inside for a few minutes but it was weird that they offered reservation online but didn't use it.

My wife must avoid Gluten at all costs, I do not but I have also eaten gluten free many times. Often gluten free foods are simply terrible. Cornerstones food is very, very good. If we didn't have prior knowledge, we would not have guessed the food was gluten free.

I have celiac and it is VERY difficult to restaurants that are this accommodating, especially for brunch. The ENTIRE menu is gluten free! I was overwhelmed with choices. I was visiting from Chicago and we ended up going twice in one weekend so I was able to try different dishes. All were fabulous. I dined with 3 other non-celiac friends and they loved the food as well. The food was incredibly tasty and the service was fabulous!

Dined for father's day and it was great as usual. Wish I lived closer to this place, I would eat there more often. Anyhow it's certainly worth the trip for a great gluten free experience in dining. Have to arrive earlier next time to secure a spot on the patio.

We chose this restaurant for the gluten-free options and were very happy with the choices we made. Fish and chips were flavourful and crispy, steak and grilled veggies were delicious. We spent a quiet evening on the patio enjoying the good food, friendly service and eclectic vibe of Kensington market.

We had wonderfully attentive and speedy service, incredibly friendly and accommodating staff and absolutely delicious meals. The lamb sausage sliders, prosciutto-wrapped asparagus & chicken tenders were freshly made, hot and bursting with flavour. My husband delighted in the fish & chips, proclaiming them just like his Nova Scotian grandmother's (I also tried the fish & it was fantastic - not the greasy mass of batter you so often find). My own meal of saffron rice was delightfully unique, and the finish of warm, heavenly pecan pie & brownie washed down with espresso capped a truly enjoyable meal. As someone with highly restrictive food allergies, it's rare to be able to enjoy myself so freely at a restaurant. We will definitely return!

Went here for dinner on Friday night with a friend who is Celiac. First, it was great having a complete worry free menu which lifted a lot of stress. Choices were plentiful and creative. Ordered Fried Calamari, Pork Belly, Grilled Cheese appetizers. Gluten free bread from Molly B's was great. Calamari was fantastic. Mains were Fish and Chips and Steak. Fish was in a very light and crispy coconut corn batter. The steak was well executed but pre-cut. The vegetables was well seasoned with Herbes de Provence. Pie was dessert. Did not miss the wheat in any of the dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. Very helpful. Also sangria's were delicious. Highly recommend regardless whether you are gluten free or not.

Every time I visit Kensington Cornerstone I am extremely happy with the food and service I receive, this occasion was even better! It gets bonus points for being one of the only restaurants in Toronto with an entirely gluten-free menu and I take full advantage of that! At least once a year (my birthday) I treat myself to a gluten-free cherry danish, a treat that until I discovered 10 years ago that I had celiac disease was a much easier find. I am so grateful for their wonderful menu and every item on it! Thanks for making dining easy!! xo

I am always looking for celiac friendly brunch spots, as a frequent brunching companion is afflicted. The Kensington Cornerstone was, as advertised, totally safe for the celiac, but delicious enough that the rest of us forgot we were eating gluten free. P

The service I received was fantastic and helpful. The restaurant boasts all gluten free items and as a celiac am ecstatic that there is a place to go and have brunch without any worries. I haven't been out for brunch in 2 years. What a treat. There is nothing overly marvellous about the food itself, being that I had the usual eggs and bacon. The coffee is outstanding. The restaurant is nicely placed in Kensington Market and wasn't too busy, yet there was a constant stream of people. I will be going back for sure.

My sister &I are gluten free, & she is also dairy free. My aunt was from out of town, & wanted us to choose the restaurant. We have both been to Kensington Cornerstone, & love it. I had the French burger, with squash soup. It has a side of coleslaw that I gobbled up completely. Both the burger & soup were delicious, despite the fact that they were out of burger buns (he substituted pumpernickel bread - which I will ask for next time). For dessert, I had the chocolate pudding. I can't say it was my favourite. I know it is supposed to be somewhere in between cake and pudding, but texture-wise, I felt like I was eating cake batter. Flavour was fine, but I wouldn't order it again. Loved that they had a vegan cheesecake for my sister to enjoy.

A good completely gluten-free restaurant; also has very good gluten-free beers. Limited menu but has two vegan options. The mains are good; we didn't try the appetizers. Desserts were outstanding, especially the "drunken" apple pie.
