The food took a while to get to our table, but the wait was understandable (busy Mother's Day!) and worth it. The filet mignon was glorious - extremely succulent and tender. The oscar was legendary with the hollandaise sauce and perfectly cooked scallops. It made me beg for more! The tiger prawns were a tad bit chewy, though I would not say it is rubbery. I will take the garlic mashed potatoes over the renowned twice baked potato any day. Overall experience was superb! Portions were generous (the starter salad could serve as a meal itself), and service was pleasurable. The Keg was one of our best choices in the years we've been getting together. Although it's a 'steakhouse' we found there was plenty of variety on the menu. Only one of us actually had steak - a good one. The atmosphere was great for chatting and the service was great; we never lacked anything but we weren't aware of the waiter hovering over us too obviously. All in all, it was a great outing for the 'geezers'.
