This keg downtown is worth the visit with modern decor and a noise level that is acceptable in the dining area,6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMYou can count on The KegWe appreciate the downtown Keg because you can make reservations and not stand in line or be forced to wait in a deafeningly loud bar. The food is always good, (the baseball steak our favourite) and the service excellent. I really appreciated being able to talk to the wine steward and try a couple of wines before I made my choice. The tables could be a little farther apart for privacy. The restaurant is as lovely as reputed, and we got great seats. But my wife and I were still astonished at the evening they gave us. The host wished us a happy anniversary, the manager was gracious and attentive all evening, the waiter stopped me from overspending on the poorer wine choice. The restaurant was kind enough to treat us to a lovely bottle of prosecco and our dessert.
