The JunctionFood wa amazing, everythingFood wa amazing, everything melted in your mouth and was a taste sensation. Cocktails truly unique. Overall a lively dining experience5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMUpscale Southern Comfort FoodThis was our first time at The Junction but we will ad it to our list of favorites. The food and service was excellent in a relaxed atmosphere.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMDifferent! We had dishes that were far from ordinary...and really delicious. The presentation was delightful. As tourists, we were glad to find this off-the-beaten-track place.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGood choice for special dinnerFantastic cocktail menu. Wished we had time to work our way through each one! We had pork belly/slaw sharing plate, which was a composed dish and we each had three bites. It was excellent. Husband had osso bucco entree, which was huge and delish. I had mahi with barley risotto which was well cooked and had very subtle but excellent flavor. Chocolate/cayenne dessert was O on a fork. As the place got busy it did get loud and our waiter became a little scarce, but he was very knowledgeable and pleasant. If noise is a problem for IOU, consider sitting on the patio. Overall a great experience!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderfully unique experience!Great food, good service, energetic atmosphere, noise levels made it difficult to carry on a discussion.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot, great serviceThis is an interesting restaurant that perhaps tries too hard - I ate the only vegetarian main offered ... a piece of strange bread with a small amount of cut up asparagus and mushrooms in a sauce on top. the veggies were ok but the bread was only so-so, the sauce was just ok...the whole thing was a pretty big disappointment. Two people has the fried chicken which was also only ok and I forgot to ask the other person who ordered the pork osso bucco what he thought. BUT, the service (Taylor) was super - really super. The selection of wines by the glass is good and the building in interesting - the 'hood is, of course, great. Perhaps brunch would be better???5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat independent resaurant.Great independent resaurant. Excellent service. Enjoyed a delicious cheese plate. Hanger steak and muscles were also excellent. Only negative was that it was louder than I would have liked.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the Junction! WonderfulLove the Junction! Service is always great.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a fun, casual neighborhoodThis is a fun, casual neighborhood restaurant located in the River Arts District with surprisingly good food. The hamburger is one of the best I have ever had. Everything on the menu is great and we have enjoyed most of the dishes at one time or another. We eat here whenever we are in town which is at least 4 or 5 times a year.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMRADdest restaurant of them allAmazing creations from the cocktail menu to main courses. You can't go wrong here!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great meal at the Junction!Great restaurant with an innovative menu. The food is sourced locally and is always fresh.
The cocktails are a work of Mixologist's Art. We had the Fried Oysters and Chicken Livers with the house made Chow-Chow and it was awesome. The Pork Osso Bucco was great with their fanatastic collard greens as a side and a lemon/thyme risotto which was a play on the traditional Gremolata. Everyone loved their entrees. This is a great restaurant with personal service from a husband and wife owner team surrounded by a great staff.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant is consistentlyThis restaurant is consistently fantastic - from the creative cocktails to the farm to table culinary innovations - it's a gem!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWhile the service was a littleWhile the service was a little slower than normal (it was Easter!) the food was amazing as always. Great service. Great food. Great drinks. Love this place!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic! We visited forFantastic! We visited for Easter brunch and the food was devine! We had a 3 year old in our party and they were extremely accomodating. Although there were no selectiins specifically foe kids, they whipped up a dreamy grilled cheese sandwich for her with a side of fries. 2 people enjoyed the cake tacos. There were 3 mid size pulled pork cake tacos; both diners thought it would have been neat if there were three different kinds of tacos (ie: one pulled pork, one chicken, one veggie.) The final diner ordered the sweet tea brine fried chicken....AMAZING!
We had a reservation, but ended up arriving early and they were quite accomodating. This was a GREAT dining experience. We will absolutely be back.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Junction is doing it theThe Junction is doing it the way it should be done. Great food and great service @ a fair price. Ambiance is cool and funky but not a place for a romantic dinner.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGo to there! One of the best meals I've ever had! The deconstructed chicken pot pie was inventive and tasty, the cocktail was heavenly and the Mexican chocolate tart was a perfect top-off.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Junction is just plain worth itThe Junction was unusually packed due to an opening across the street. Everyone, including owners worked very hard to ensure a top notch experience despite the pressure. There was a gruner veltliner on the list which was a pleasant surprise to sip with a sharing of fried okra. The braised short ribs supper was definitely worth the trip...glad I had reservation s!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food served in style.Delicious food served in style.
