Was searching for new places and I love french cuisine. The service was excellent friendly but not smothered. Food was delicious perhaps could be presented with more art but the taste was excellent. I would definitely go back to try more of the menu.

I have tried almost everything in The Island Bistro menu, I really cant say what is better, This time we had the Special Breaded veal chop, incredible, the best, The service very good, am glad to see, The bistro is getting busier and busier my surprise? They validated 100% of our garage, You don't see that on Brickell any more.

We were very pleased with this lovely outdoor bistro. My only complaint was that I had to leave the table before my husband paid the check because of the smokers all around us. (I realize that is the chance we take when we take an outside table)

We made a reservation based on the proximity to our hotel. Big mistake. The food is frozen, thawed and then served, with just a hint of 'freezer burn flavor'. The servers were 'attentive' until the basketball game came on, and then they were facing the television, with there backs to us. Ignoring your guests, rude. All we wanted to do was pay. The décor is trying too hard and competing with the gorgeous view outside...stop. I should have known, when the popcorn maker was presented we were in for a doozy! I am from Philly an we have a great food scene. Miami as a bit of one as well, but The Island Bistro is not part of it. I will not return. One should think twice before going as well.

Food is very good to excellent. Place should be busier but alas on a Saturday night we were one of four tables all night. Service technically good could do more with hospitality. I think that would fill the place if there was more of a connection between guests and staff. Food however was superb. The best Steak tartare I have ever had. Brickell is not really known for it's food, walk over the BKey bridge and enjoy.

My girlfriend and I went to dinner here for our 2 year anniversary. They just so happened to be celebrating Mardi Gras at the restaurant. We had a great time. They gave us beads and drinks were 2-for-1. She was obsessed with their blood orange mojitos. They have a wheel on Tuesdays that you spin - we win 25% off our bill! We sat on their outside terrace because it was a gorgeous night. The server was very pleasant and the manager visited our table to make sure everything was going well. I ordered the beef and mushroom risotto - AMAZING. My girlfriend ordered the steak frites - very good as well. All in all we had a great meal and they validated our parking. Would recommend The Island Bistro to anyone.

We were looking for someplace near the Arsht Center with a vegetarian-friendly menu and Island Bistro was just the place! Very small and intimate on the Island of Brickell Key. Staff was very attentive and accomodating and the food was simply prepared and delicious! I'd like to go back again when I'm not on a restricted diet and try the desserts and wine!!

The mandarin hotel restaurant was booked for the evening so we found this little gem of a restaurant only blocks away. The staff was very accommodating , and saved us a table outside for our dinner. When we requested that the music be turned down A little they obliged. The lobster salad had generous portions of lobster meat. The pork was delicious ,per my husband. The prices were very reasonable. It is a very nice ,casual dining experience.

We went there while we were staying in Miami for the international book fair. We were only in town for the night, but felt like we were on vacation. The tuna tartare was better than expected. The range of choices was extensive. The staff was courteous, and the place was quiet. A wonderful reprieve from the places we've been dining lately. A real joy to be able to savor our food and our conversation.

This little spot is located in Brickell key, so you know the prices will be higher than needed. The food is palatable but nothing worth bragging about. The service was good. There is no view, which is a shame considering it's on a little island on in the bay. It sits on the ground floor of the building it is in and looks out at the parking lot and a common park.

    Dined on 7/19/2013
The waiter was aggressive and unpleasant from the start. We showed him a Local Dines Cert and his manners went out the door. He kept trying to push more expensive dishes on us, telling us that we didn't know what we were doing when we ordered. He told us before ordering that we could take advantage of the happy hour special, buy 1 get 1 well drinks. Then when he brought the bill he said we couldn't take advantage of it and charged us the whole thing. We asked to speak to the manager. He went in and came back out and said the manager was busy, but that he couldn't do anything. Then we got up went inside and asked for the manger ourselves. The manager came over and had no idea what had been going on. He had never spoken to him.
