Went on a Wednesday night (7 pm), no one at any of the tables...4 people sitting at bar watching soccer game. Limited menu, but food was very good, as well as the drinks.

Evevn though it was a Monday, since it was restaurant week, I made reservations for 4. When we arrived, the place was EMPTY, except for about 10 people sitting at the bar and a table of 2 in a corner. There was no person greeting patrons at the front when walking in - we waited for 5 minutes until I went to the bar to tell them we had a reservation. We were finally seated. Our waitress didn't show up for about another 10 minutes. She was rude and was not knowledgable about the menu or restaurant. We were handed 2 menus - one for tapas and a regular course meal menu. We asked her to explain how our group could order from the menus - she simply stated that this is a Latin fusion restaurant and next month we will have sushi. WHAT??!! Yes, that was our reaction too. We finally ordered 3 tapas as appetizers and told her we needed more time for our entrees - 25 minutes went by before our tapas were brought to the table. No explanation, no apologies. We decided to forego dinner, since we did not want to wait G_ knows how long for dinner so we ordered 2 desserts. When asked how the crepes were prepared, she said they were thin pancakes. Gee, thanks. The desserts - 1 order of crepes and 1 flan - came out 15 minutes later. On a brighter note, the food was good, but not good enough to outweigh all these issues. I will NEVER go back.

I went to Blue Amber last week after receiving a flyer from the Westchester NPHC for 10% off. I enjoyed the food so much, I forgot to use my coupon. Oh well, I guess I have to go back again to use it.

The restaurant was advertised as Spanish food, however the drinks were bad; like a child experimenting and the food was nothing to write home about.

I knew this location as Iron Shaker before they had changed themselves into Blue Amber, so I wasn't expecting a full-Latin menu. We had some lovely mojitos, including a Jamaica-flower based one, as well as a tamarind, whose texture and mouthfeel were very interesting, not to mention delicious! We blitzed through the bruschetta which included the secret ingredient: yucca. Also delicious. We had both of the mofongos, and were happy with our mutual choices; she with the traditional steak version that was hearty, and me with my shrimp in a nice savory sauce. The surprise was apple strudel for dessert; What? Ah, well, it was graced with dulce de leche, of course! Fun all around, and the bachata music never stops.

We had a group of 4 and we're not sure what to expect as we could not find a menu online prior to arriving. The food was delicious! We had numerous dishes: pork and fish tacos, ceviche, bruschetta, drunken chicken sliders, pork chop entree. All were wonderful and tasty. The drinks from the bar were fabulous as well. Definitely recommend!
