A word from The Iron Room
The Iron Room is the restaurant at the Atlantic City Bottle Company & is a nod to the recently retired iron playing piece in the popular board game Monopoly. The Iron Room specializes in small plates & the cuisine is described as distinctly American. Chef Kevin Cronin says what makes it American is that the menu is a hodge-podge & mashing of cultures making the cuisine an interesting melting pot.

Local seafood, game meats, hand-made pastas & the “Flat Iron Burger” (the menu’s only permanent resident) are what guests can expect to see when visiting the restaurant. The Iron Room will also feature tasting menus & host special events dedicated to craft beverages & great food. We are as passionate about cheese as we our craft beverage. We have around 15-25 cheeses from all over the world on our list every day covering all the five catergories: fresh, bloomy, washed, pressed/cooked, and blue.

Nice range of small plates; more varied than most other places I found online; plenty of creative food for vegetarians. Vast array of scotch, good beer options, interesting cheeses. Great place for a bunch of friends over good food and spirits.

After being left standing at the front for 5 minutes while the host had a conversation with the owner, we were escorted to a table for two. This poor introduction was more than made up for by the attentive and informative bartender who was able to explain just about everything about everything with passion! We started off with a couple of interesting cheeses from the cheese board,,,they were delicious! We followed with the croquets, the seared endive and the grilled cheese. I thought they were all excellent. The two whites we drank were interesting and we liked them as well. The hand picked wine collection by Paul, one of the owners, provided a sophisticated yet homey backrop. I will be returning.

Went with a party of 8 and sat in the store. Wonderful experience.... fun fun fun tasting different foods and drinking and tasting lots of different liquors. We were OK with the mnu but they need to add more things to mix it up a bit. 6 more tapas items and three more entrees would be great! But good eats and good drinks and tons of fun! Go with a group!

This was my second trip to the Iron Room. My first was an amazing beer tasting class. Kevin, the head chef, is extremely knowledgeable in spirits & food. His class was amazing. He introduced me to beers I never would have tasted! My second trip was for food. It was simply fantastic. The bacon burger with smokey catsup was the best burger I ever had.. hands down. The chicken cordon bleu wontons were delicious! The free range chicken..wow! Finished the night was a Sidecar & flour-less chocolate cake.. what an amazing dinner.. and my server, Jenna, was great, too! Don't miss this place...

Very small restaurant with a large bar though and a retail wine/whiskey area. Not a large menu - mostly small plates but quite an interesting array. Mark, our waiter, was very knowledgeable about the beer and food. We had the Chef's Board which was perfect for the two of us. Nuts, dried fruit, crostini, crackers, 3 different cheese (chef's choice), wild boar sausage, sardines, olives, duck pate with a grainy mustard, honey and a chutney type spread - there was supposed to be a smoked duck breast but they were out so they adjusted the price. I hope I haven't left anything off - there was so much. We had taken a cab and Mark called us a cab to return. A little off the beaten path but well worth the trip.

In town just a few days visiting family, we stopped in to try the unusual menu and found the food indeed interesting. But even more interesting and fun was the great atmosphere: a friendly and knowledgeable staff, extensive whisky list, wine and great beer selections and, to my family's particular thrill, the Tuesday night live music of mandolin, stand-up bass and guitar - shout out to Jug Paradise! We loved the creativity and integrity of this place and if we lived in the area would make this a regular dining spot.

I tried the Iron Room with 5 friends and we liked the intimate, bar-like atmosphere, but the service left a lot to be desired. It always surprises me when you have to flag someone down just to get another drink or worse, when it takes more than 15 minutes to bring the drink you ordered! The food is considered 'tapas-style' but some items were very small and others were sized like a small entrée. The burger was disappointing as was the strawberry tomato salad (3 strawberries and 3 chunks of tomato w/ a balsamic dressing on a mound of whipped cream??). Mac and cheese was delicious. Skip the dessert - nothing was worth the calories. I might be willing to give the restaurant a second chance. Maybe they just need to work some kinks out...

My husband and I tried The Iron Room while in AC for a concert and wanted to avoid casino restaurants. This restaurant dies small plates so we tried a de cheeses, a grilled endive salad, pork tenderloin (was a little overcooked) and a filet of beef on a bed of blue cheese polenta (which was divine). It was a tad slow but I think that is part of the experience. Tiny place and you park in an almost alley alongside the building. I would go again if I didn't live 3hours away. Great for wine/beer enthusiasts - many choices.

Even though I already knew the bar/restaurant was behind a nondescript liquor store I was still a little uncertain when we arrived that this was actually the right place. We walked in and headed to the back where we were greeted warmly by the staff. There were avail seats at the bar where we waited about 5 min for our table. The menu is tapas style small plates, specialty cheeses but also offers a full size burger and fries. The service was terrific and the food delicious. We were a little concerned about our seating next to the musicians playing classic rock/country/original songs but they played unplugged and we could have a conversation as well as enjoy the music. We have already booked our next reservation.

You could pass this place a hundred times and not realize what was inside. Front is a liquor store, back room, wonderful bar with the best selection of whiskey (and whisky) anywhere in the states. Watch out though, some of that top shelf hootch can set you back $50 a shot!. Wonderful small plate menu. May seem a bit "hipster" but us 60 ish folks certainly felt welcome.

Food was fantastic! Our server was spot-on attentive without being intrusive! We had martinis and they were delicious and a decent size (not a thimble sized martini glass)! Do make a reservation as it is a small venue - one of its many charms in my opinion. Can be quite loud and hard to hear so probably best for a twosome.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a few months now and finally made my way there last Friday. It was delightful! Great selection of alcohol and a great store attached to purchase something on the way out. My boyfriend and I ate a variety of different things from the quail to the house made pappardelle, the corn chip chicken strips and the korean bbq hangar steak and the burger. I think there were a few other items in there as well but the delicious bourbon and wine kicked in so I do not remember everything. Overall we will both be back again and will recommend this spot to others.

This place had me completely dumbfounded. I little hole in the wall on Albany Avenue that serves small portions ( two bites) of exotic dishes like quail for close to $20 and tiny (weak) cocktails for $12. We are not in Manhattan or even Rittenhouse Square folks—this is West Atlantic City. I will never return to this over-priced tavern that claims to be Atlantic City’s only speakeasy. Boring décor and sub-par service. Terrible.

On my 4th trip to the Iron Room we found the food even more remarkable than the first three. The food is unique and but approachable, beautifully presented, and most important delicious at every turn. Chef Kevin also offers a chefs table where the chef comes to your table, discusses food choices and then creates an on the spot customized menu which is a whimsical and special treat for you palate. The wine list all encompassing (as if the whiskey list if that is your preference) and a tasty by the glass menu is also available. This hidden gem is worth the trip!

First time was a special occasion and didn't have any expectations. Always looking for a nice experience outside the casino's. Really like the look of the place (from the inside). My only real complaint about the decor was the smell of stale beer, I'm guessing from some kind of tap issue. The IPA was actually very good though. Food was good, not great, but nothing to be upset about. Thought the staff should be dressed in something other than polo shirts considering the prices and decor. My overall experience was good and would recommend to others but I could help but feeling this place hadn't met its full potential. Looked great inside and will easily fill a void for gastro-pub type restaurant, especially in this market.
