Chef Jean‑Georges introduces his latest venture, a casually elegant restaurant ensconced in the picturesque town of Pound Ridge, New York. Here, Jean‑Georges cultivates a truly seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine, with ingredients sourced from the Hudson Valley and New England, whenever possible. Constructed in 1833 as a residence and serving later as an inn, the building has been painstakingly renovated to preserve as many of the original materials as possible, including four working fireplaces. Thomas Juul-Hansen designed the restaurant’s interior with a modern yet rustic sensibility; zinc and marble accent stone and reclaimed wood. The restaurant’s lighting, artfully conceived by Hervé Descottes, employs paper shades and Edison fixtures to create warmth throughout.

From the appetizers through the dinner and dessert, every plate of food was excellent. I recommend the fresh ricotta with fruit topping or the salumi platter with cheese . The entrees of Hake, salmon, Filet or prosuitto wrapped Berkshire pork chop, all were extremely well prepared and beautifully served. This is a must go restaurant

Went for Sunday brunch on a beautiful fall day after having tried unsuccessfully to get a reservation on a Saturday night. Sat by the window overlooking the patio. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Now I understand why reservations need to be made far in advance. Worth the drive from CT.

Upon entering the restaurant you could feel that the energy was great but then waited about 45 minutes for our table and over 25 minutes for cocktails at the bar...not even an acknowledgement! When we were finally seated we were placed at a table for 2 and we were 3 people. Food was good but needless to say we were very disappointed....

My wife and I had just eaten at Jean-Georges at Trump international in the city two weeks ago for our anniversary, and the Inn at Pound Ridge seemed like a good choice for her birthday without going down to the city again. The food was simply fabulous: whether a very unusual take on Hamachi sushi, baby beets, lobster, Berkshire pork or dessert, all was perfect. And while they have a great wine list, I have a great cellar, and being able to bring a bottle of grand cru Burgundy and pay a $50 corkage fee was impossible to resist. We had the good fortune to be seated at a table adjoining one with a very simpatico couple and spent most of the evening talking to each other. Altogether a wonderful experience.

This easily gets 5 stars, except oddly near the end of the meal, the waited vanished. We sat with empty plates for at 10 minutes, then we didn't get dessert menus for another 5, and the waited didn't reappear for about 10 minutes after that. All in we didn't see him for 25 minutes right at the end of the meal when we should be getting coffee/dessert/or after dinner drinks. The meal was great, but it ended in a disappointing fashion. With that said, I hope its a one off - I will definitely be returning.

We were seated at a down stairs location near the patio windows; normally a prime spot, but the night was cold and the wind whipped through a gap in the walls. I pointed this out to the manager and was told "Thanks, we're working on it" (the restaurant was under subscribed this particular evening, so I wonder why we were seated there if they "knew" it was a chilly spot?) Having had many wonderful meals at Emily Shaws, I was curious to see how the Inn had "moderned" the old Tavern atmosphere. Can't say I "loved" it as I do like a warmer ambience. The background Muzak was loud enough to be be annoying. The server lacked personality and took an inordinate period of time to take a simple drink order. The menu, however, was interesting and contained a number of offerings that "foodies" would salivate over. Once our meal was ordered, the meal came rapidly. The portions are appropriate. The "peekytoe crab crostini" was an outstanding appetizer. The fettuccine with Brussel Sprouts and Pistacio Pesto was an eclectic and flavorful concoction. The deserts were OK, but not inspiring. The only thing that came too "quickly" was the check...so we passed on having an after dinner drink.

After receiving a warm welcome from the valet, I entered the most beautiful Inn! The restaurant is gorgeous, warm and inviting. Wait staff is very attentive. The food is delicious-- a must have appetizer is the calamari; it is perfectly cooked, not too heavily battered. We shared salmon and chicken entrees; cannot decide which we liked better. Looking forward to a return visit in the very near future; I must try the truffle pizza next!

Its ok to show up in your jeans at this JG restaurant. It has a warm, comfortable and casual but elegant feel. This is our second meal here and it did not disappoint. The wait staff is extremely knowledgeable about the food preparations and ingredients as well as the beer and wine offerings. Calamari, tuna, peekytoe crab, pizzas, salads, fish, pork chops all were luscious There was not a starter or a main we have ordered that disappointed - except the burger. Although it was so very tasty it was gone in four bites. A kids portion..... We will continue to return.

The Inn at Pound Ridge is one of my favorite restaurants and I try to eat there at least once a month. On this particular Sunday lunch, I was happy to see the food quality was what I had come to expect. My disappoint was with the kitchen timing. We had wine, appetizers, main course and dessert.....in under 40 minutes!! It was very unfortunate to have been rushed through such a fine meal.

We went for lunch on our Anniversary because we could not get a Saturday night dinner reservation. The space has a lot of character. Beautiful exposed wood and stone. Our waiter was quite young but couldn't have been more pleasant and he was very knowledgable. We started off with mint cucumber martinis. Delicious. The bartender even shared the recipe. We shared the tuna tartare and the shrimp salad. Both were delicious. Chips served with the tuna would have been a nice addition. My husband had a burger which was very good. I had the eggs benedict with ham. It was good but I would not order it again. We forgot to order a vegetable which all sounded delicious. We ended our meal by splitting the carmel sundae with popcorn. It was also delicious. Delightful experience from beginning to end.

My wife and I were looking forward to our anniversary dinner at The Inn. Overall the meal was good but not great. The food was up to expectations, although my wife's entry was not cooked to her asking. The restaurant was beautiful and the scene was energized for a Saturday night. What really took away from the experience was the fact we had an 8:30 reservation and didn't get seated until 9:15. In addition we were told at 8:45 it would only be another 5-10 minutes. Although they were apologetic, I can understand waiting 15 minutes for a table to clear but not 45. Also the bar area was packed, which made it very uncomfortable for us to stand against a wall and nurse our expensive cocktails. Overall I will go back to give them a second chance, but I will not be as excited this time.

My husband and I went there Saturday night and we had an 8:30 reservation. Upon checking in with the hostess, she let us know it would be few minutes and said we may grab drinks at the bar. Thankfully they have a coat check since the wait was quite long...45 minutes. We were able to find a seat which made it so much nicer in front of the fireplace, overall not much seating available if you're waiting and there were several people waiting for their tables. The food itself was very good, we started with the tuna tartare and foie gras creme brûlée which was bar far the most buttery amazing item there. Then we had the lamb chops and beef tenderloin both were cooked to perfection; however my husband said he would have gone for the burger instead. For dessert, we had the salted caramel ice cream (must order) and the chocolate cake with marshmallow frosting...it was heavenly. Our waiter was great, he was definitely busy with many tables; however he was very sweet and helped us with a missing bar tab. I would have rated the service higher only for him, the wait time was the thing that kept me from doing so.

Having read the reviews in the press, I decided it would be a good choice to treat a friend to a birthday lunch. Everything was wonderful from the ambiance to the menu choices, food and service. Because I had read about the salted caramel popcorn sundae for dessert, we decided to order a light lunch. I had the spinach goat cheese omelette and my friend had eggs Benedict and we both said we would order them again although there were so many choices on the menu that sounded delicious for the next time. I had requested a table by the window and some type of birthday acknowledgement for my friend with her dessert. We were shown to a window table and they served my friend a tiny cupcake with a candle in it on a plate with Happy Birthday spelled out in sauce when they brought our sundaes - very impressive. This was done without any additional prompting on my part. We both said we look forward to going back for lunch and would also like to try dinner in the downstairs level which looked very inviting. I have already recommended it to several friends.

It is always a pleasure. Food was good, not amazing this time. The desserts were average, get better gelato/ ice ream at the super market. I believe a tip was added to our bill being that we were a party of six. Unfortunately, my husband did not notice and our server did not inform us. After, my husband said he felt the bill was high, I said the gratuity was probably added. You think they would have mentioned it to us. Our fault for not looking closer.

No, No room at the Inn for improvement! Everything we dined on at lunch was excellent from the homemade ricotta with cranberries and olive oil served with crostini to the hanger steak sandwich with goat cheese and arugula served with a side of shoestring fries. Dessert of raspberry sorbet and pumpkin ice cream were both excellent but the only disappointment was the size of the scoop, little more than the size of a golf ball -really. We had heard that the service here was aloof and stuffy but we did not find that and in fact thought everyone was friendly and most welcoming. Going to definitely return for brunch and for dinner soon. The Inn at P.R. Is a must in Westchester Co.

We were slow to be seated - 25 minute wait mid-evening on a Sunday. We were seated downstairs which lacked the superior ambiance provided by the upper level. Service was good - friendly, knowledgeable regarding munu, and speed of service was pitched just right - in our case we were in no rush but wanted attention every so often. The food was very good - fresh ingredients, many of them sourced locally, well presented. This was a birthday occasion for us and on balance, we would certainly return as well as recommend to others. Our preference would be on the upper level, which feels more authentic, and we will specify that when we make future reservations.

We used to live next to the main Jean Georges in NYC and went there several times a month -either to the formal or cafe restaurants. I've also taken over the restaurant for private business functions. Always outstanding in every way. So what is going on here? The food, which is mediocre by Jean Georges standards, does not behoove a restaurant with such painstakingly created ambiance. This was our 2nd visit. The pear and endive salad was dripping with water (the waiter took it off the bill), the appetizer "toast" was more like thick slabs of heavy untoasted bread, the soup had too much cream. The crispy sushi with Hamachi was very good, so I know the ability is there. I hope JG will come and visit here and get things on track soon.

Waiting 1 hour past our red time while getting false hope from the hostess was the precursor to mediocre food on our Saturday night out. Seemed like this wasn't a surprise to others in the restaurant who noted a known struggle for the kitchen on busy nights. Entrees were pedestrian as well, no art in the food at all - dry pork chop and a pizza that was just bread drowned in prosciutto.

Felt like they were trying to rush is. Then the food was mediocre at best. Nothing special. Food served a tad above room temperature. All tables next to us had same experience. One table gave up after an hour and took the food to go. Lots of apologies but no offer of a drink or anything. Heard the weekends were rough yet much worse than expected

The restaurant was excellent, the food, service, etc. but as a Jean-Georges restaurant I wanted more. We had a bread basket, app, main, dessert. There were no special butters or amuse bouches or suprise courses or truffle at the end. It was an excellent, 'normal' restaurant.

Great food and interesting menu, service was initially a bit rushed, chardonnay choices jump from $40.00 to $80.00. How about a $60.00 bottle?

We arrived on time and were told they were just finishing setting our table (the restaurant wasn't full and neither was the bar.) 25 minutes later we had to go ask how that table setting was coming. Quite clear they'd forgotten about us. Took our waiter forever to show up. The entire he seemed very stressed and harried - never saw a smile or a pleasantly. We ordered thre courses. The first two came at once that translates to us waiting forever. The crispy sushi had clearly been sitting out as the fish wasn't moist and the underpinning was cold. Jean Goerge needs to come visit. This place isn't on top of its game.

The starters were outstanding, and the food overall was excellent in an unfussy/unpretentious way. Really good service from the wait staff.
