Chef Matt Costello prepares a sublime prix-fix multi course dinner featuring Whidbey Island's freshest seasonal fare, complimented by the Inn's extensive wine cellar. Dinner typically lasts approximately 3 hours and is a delight for the senses and you will enjoy a full evening experience.

>The cost of dinner is $130 per person, this includes complimentary mineral water, plus coffee and tea service. Wine, tax and gratuity are additional. We offer a wine pairing that complements your dinner perfectly, chosen each evening by Matt Costello and is typically between $80 - $95 per person. You can also choose a bottle of wine from our cellar if you prefer. As this is a prix fix menu please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions.

  • "My wife and I have had several amazing dinners at the Inn dating back to the 90s. The Valentine's Dinner we enjoyed the other night topped them all. The Inn's chef created a 10-course menu that was like opening presents on Christmas morning -- we couldn't wait to see what surprise the next course would yield! We learned something about an ingredient or local food suppliers or an innovative preparation method in each course. And the portions were perfectly-sized so we were still able to eat #10 with as much gusto as #1. The wine pairings were fantastic, the staff was friendly, prompt and accommodating. The Inn at Langley is a real NW treasure. It is no doubt pricey, but very much worth it."

  • "This place, under the direction of Matt Costello, served the best meal I've ever had. It was an onslaught of a dozen marvelous presentations of uncommon concoctions, each designed and plated beautifully, and tasting like a journey through the culinary universe. There were four of us, and the combined thrill level reached as high as if there had been ten of us. The chef is a master of ceremonies and conviviality, as well as culinary art, and the staff and servers never failed to live up to his standards. Questions were answered, wishes catered to, jokes appreciated. The best of times was had by all."

  • "What a wonderful holiday delight! Right at the top of the leading peak of new cuisine, with a NW edge. Complex, yet delightful courses follow one after the other. Intimate, but approachable, the staff, kitchen and chef staff all interact throughout the meal with their guests, offering details about each course, as well as listening to costumer feedback.. Service was impeccable and the courses uniquely offered, so that surprises abound in the 3+ hour dinner. Will return to try different menus during different seasons. This experience compares equally with Poppy and the Herbfarm. Save Canlis for your grandparents, this is a restaurant that you will want to bring your spouse and impress your out of town friends. 5 Stars..."

  • "The imaginative and well prepared food selection coupled with the superb service and explanation of the dishes would have been enough to make this a memorable evening, but there was more.... The wine pairings were excellent and among old favorites, introduced us to some wineries that we had not previously known about. They will be added to our visit list for next year. Then came the unexpected whimsical twists of serving charred coconut oil from the table lamp and a "Winter scene" contained in a glass Christmas tree ornament. Brilliant."

  • "A roaring fire greets you as you walk in from the cold, along with wonderful, sparkling champagne handed to you on your way to your table. The chef prepares stunning dishes, a feast for the eyes and the mouth. My favorite was listed on the menu as "Winter Scene". When that course came up, we watched them snip the glass ornaments off of the beautiful hanging chandelier in the center of the room and place each one on a small place in front of each guest. They were filled with a wonderful, tantalizing sweetness (not to give anything away) and the presentation was totally unique and enchanting. Each table receives one-on-one attention and interaction with the chef and his assistant. Superb!"

  • "As always, the Inn at Langley provides an unforgettable culinary experience orchestrated by the brilliant Chef Matt Costello. Dinner included 13 courses - some just a few bites in size - of imaginative and fresh Northwest cuisine. Our favorite courses were the "crab, black garlic, nuoc mam, cilantro and charred coconut oil plate," the "gin & tonic experiment," and the "deer, juniper, chocolate and apple wood smoke." This was our second time dining here - and it was just as memorable and excellent as our first dinner. The wine pairing menu featured generous pours and some excellent selections such as the 2002 Quilceda Creek. This place should have a Michelin Star; a couple, in fact."

  • "A memorable experience for a very new pair (third date!). The entire staff, chef included, presented the evenings myriad courses with a brief description to each table. The prix fixe meal began with a beautifully presented tiny parsnip marshmallow and a chocolate-kiss sized camembert covered beet meringue. The bursts of delicious flavor were nothing short of astonishing. There were a very many courses that were small and flavorful and I can't decide which of them were my favorite. Perhaps the Calamari Risotto or maybe the Field and Forest Terrarium that was cleverly disguised as hanging ornaments near each table and cut down for each guest! The intimate dining room was relatively quiet and nicely lit. Pricey but worth every penny."

  • "I have eaten at the French Laundry (twice) and numerous high-end restaurants in New York, Washington, and other cities, and I have never had an experience as incredible as the meal I had right here on Whidbey Island. We had 13 courses and 5 wines over about 4 hours. The food was terrific and the service extremely attentive. The chef uses a lot of local ingredients from the island, including meat and vegetables as well as the bountiful seafood. There were some amusing touches like when some of the decorations turned out to be part of the meal. One caveat: It's VERY expensive. If you do the wine pairings, you will spend $250 per person including tip. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience."
