The five cheeses were perfect and excellent, each different and freshly prepared, and accompanied by a lovely basket of grilled toast and some delicious almonds and honeycomb. We had asked for a quiet-ish table, and were given one (the waiter even informed us that a big party was coming to sit outside, so he would not out us out there with them!). I can't afford to eat there as often as I'd like but when I get a night out, I have never gone wrong here. Came here before for a friend's birthday and returned again since I loved the freshness of the food. Ordered the 'two tier' each time...it's a must try! I loved that it was served on ice so it stayed chilled throughout the meal. If this is your first raw bar experience the Hungry Cat will definitely deliver! So I went on Open Table and took a leap of faith with the Hungry Cat. We were a party of 4 and had a BLAST. Service was friendly and efficient, knowledgeable and very helpful waitress. Ordered the two tier seafood tower and I wish I could post a photo of it here. (We did on Facebook). Delish!!!!! Seafood fresh, tasty, great combination of oysters, lobster, king crab, mussels, clams and caviar. That and a salad, big enough to share, was enough for a fine dinner for two. Our friends ordered the grits and prawns having lived for awhile in New Orleans. Great drinks too. Despite the unusual location, this place is a real find. We have now been twice for early dinners before Saturday night shows at The Pantages. The drinks, food and service have been great each time. Oysters were delicious. Ceviche was too small and under-whelming in taste.
The seafood tempura tacos were amazing! And the seafood cobb salad was very good.

The ceviche is great! And the service was excellent.
