  • I was very pleased with the
    OpenTable Diner Since 2014

I was very pleased with the ease of making my reservation online, however, the reservation did not cross over to the restaurant and they were unaware. Luckily I called to confim ahead of time and was able to re-make my reservation with them directly. Our waitress was EXCELLENT, professional and knowledgable. Unfortunately the night we arrived there was a large group of women at the table near the fireplace who were extremely loud for the small, tavern like atmosphere. The clapping and shouting made for an unpleasant experience, which I'm sure had they not been there, would have made for a much better experience. The dining room guests seemed quite pleased when they finally left. The location, food and local brewry selections were great

Exquisite dishes one would find in world class restaurants. Unique combination of local flavors. Appropriate timing between courses. Could use greater beer selection.

My significant other and I had dinner here during an overnight stay at the Mountain Top Inn & Resort. The atmosphere was very "cozy" and inviting, with lodge/lake house style decor -- think moose, fish, and so on. The food was amazing and the menu very seasonally inspired -- for an appetizer we shared the pumpkin & sage wontons, which were like crab rangoons but sweet instead of savory. My significant other had the Roasted Misty Knoll chicken which he raved about (I tried a bite and I can see why!), and I had the Autumn Risotto which was delicious with caramelized pumpkin, kale, toasted pumpkin seeds and a delicious goat-type cheese. For dessert we shared a skillet chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. Great experience!

  • Lovely Resort!
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012

Lovely resort with very good menus. Dining outside was preferable to the indoor dining room. Pub fare was more interesting selection than the Dining Room menu. Would be nice if the breakfast was changed up each day - after 4 days I had little appetite for the same breakfast selection. Would be nice if you offered water bottles in each room - I was very thirsty every day. I drink 2 - 4 glasses of water per day at home.

  • "Lake Tahoe Type Views"
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012

The views are breathtaking and remind of views at Lake Tahoe. We started outside with cocktails and appetizers and then moved inside. The food and service matched the views and the whole experience was memorable. We enjoyed all of our courses that included curried oysters, fruit and nut salad with blue cheese, house made ravioli, blue cheese encrusted filet, diver scallops and dessert being cinnamon ice-cream (house made). It was a great night!!!

It has a very impressive view and having a drink outside looking at the mountains was great. I thought the food was average. I would go again for a drink and a snack but not for dinner.
