Food is excellent, beautiful presentation, good wine list. Allow yourself time to enjoy the meal. Portions are not large, although delectable, so if you are feeling really hungry a starter with the entree is recommended. Can be noisy on show evenings. Even though it was a busy night, the food was served in a timely manner and the waiter made good recommendations to meet our time restraints.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day Well Done!Mother's Day can lead to some really bad restaurant food. Trying to serve hordes of "mother-won't-have-to-cook-today" families, many restaurants serve heaps of lukewarm buffet table entrees and aged dry pastries to quickly churn their tables. NOT SO at the Heathman. We had a lovely table in the quiet lobby dining room. The food was cooked to order and delicious. The service was impeccable. The food was fantastic and the service was out of this world. Next year I have a feeling I will be here again for another great meal. I especially loved my Crab eggs Benedict and I know that everyone else in the family was happy with their own personal choices; the corned beef hash as well.

Our server dealt very easily with some food intolerances we have. The food was fresh, excellently prepared, and delicious! I was recently in Portland on a visit and treated my extended family to brunch there on a Sunday. The food was flawless, the service was impeccable, and we all had a totally wonderful time. Their was not a misstep in the entire meal. I was so pleased to see that the same high quality has been maintained. The service, food and wine were perfect and the ambience just right. It is certainly a place I would recommend to others and hope I can enjoy another dinner there myself.
