  • "went for my friends birthday celebration and keeping up with the atmosphere of the hotel and the whole sleep no more show. Our waiter was out going and friendly and asked us if we were staying at the hotel. at first i didnt understand it but i caught on to the whole "show experience even with the dinner. if your a big fan of shows like boardwalk empire this place is a must to visit as you feel like you are brought back into those ages."

  • "The food was excellent & so was the greeting staff. The music was also fantastic. That's pretty much the extent of the positivity. Our evening was completely ruined by terrible service: we didn't see our waitress once between placing our order and her bringing us dessert menus. After finishing our 1st round of cocktails, we sat there for at least 10 mins without anything to drink, wanting to order a bottle of wine. Had to ask 3 different bus boys to get our waitress (she never came) & another woman finally came to take our wine order. Our main course came literally a couple of mins after our appetizers were cleared, which was before they could even reset our silverware. It was utterly disappointing because this was our anniversary dinner."

  • "This resturaunt is by far my fav in the city. Great food, service, live music, clever cocktails, and mystery/adventure all in one. It's not just dinner at the Heath it's an entire Experience and the staff is outstanding."

  • "Great atmosphere, good food and great service. Love the throw back details and the jazz band playing while eat makes the feel more authentic. I will definitely come back another time!"

  • "Had a terrific evening at The Heath. It's a place for great cocktails, delicious food, and possibly some special adventures. I was dining by myself and the staff was incredibly friendly. John and Elizabeth Lindsay, the two "owners" spent a bit of time with me engaging me in conversation which I really appreciated. I started with the Granite Punch and Quail Skewers. Then followed up with the Scallop Special (with fiddle ferns) and scrumptious banoffee pie for dessert. Actually, I had two desserts because amazingly, I won the Lottery that night. The vibrant bar also looks like a great place to just hang out. I followed dinner with a late night visit to The McKittrick Hotel and it made for an incredible evening! Will return soon."

  • "The staff here is amazing. Everybody is inviting and friendly and adds wonderful layers of intrigue to the whole dining experience. My friend and I had a beautiful time and got to chat with almost everyone as they came by our tables and engaged with us. It was really fun and friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Drinks were very unique. The cheese cake was amazing."

  • "This is a theatrical experience pretending to be a restaurant."

  • "This place is AMAZING! I will defiantly rerun on my next trip to NYC and I want to stay at the hotel as well!"

  • "After googling "weird dining experiences NYC" I found the Heath. I took my girlfriend for her birthday and the experience was amazing. Incredibly unpredictable and weird which is what we love. When booking to eat, definitely get tickets to Sleep No More. The whole experience is really hard to find words to describe!! But I definitely suggest the dining and sleep no more experience to anyone who wants something new, creative and unlike anything else!"

  • "I went for my birthday with friends and our night was so fun and exciting! The staff was professional and friendly and very accommodating. I was lucky to get picked for one of the interactive scenarios in which I had to meet a woman on the " train platform". She asked me if I remembered Mandalay and if I wanted to go back in which I replied "yes!". I was escorted by her into a dark room and what happens next is for you to find out and all I can reveal is that it was NOT scary but more so mystical and you feel transported into the 1930's, very cool! The food was better than expected and a unique and eclectic menu with British flare. If you want to experience a classy "theme-like" experience this is the place to go, can't wait to go back!"

  • "A unique and, at times, eerie dining experience. It's like walking into the '20s with great music, drinks, and rich hearty food. Athough you don't have to, I like that you can have a little extra fun by dressing for the period, and not feel out of place"

  • "This place is great. I have to say the food was much better than I expected, and the service was outstanding. Everyone looks remarkable, all dressed to the nines. The music was great, so much fun. There was a great energy and the crowd was wonderful. I would definitely recommend that you go here. It's a great deal of funding a wonderful night. The only thing I regret was not dressing up for it. I really wish I wore a suit and tie, I would've felt more part of the scene."

  • "This is not dinner theater. It is a theatrical dinner. It is like stepping into 1939, or maybe the ghost of 1939. Go for the ambiance, the excellent music, and of course the possibility of something surprising happening. Then be surprised by the sumptuous food on offer. Tip: while street cloths are welcome, if you dress to impress you won't regret it."

  • "A group of five people went there for my birthday and there was NO interactive experience at all for anyone at our table. It was a real letdown."

  • "Are you tired of dining at boring modern restaurants ? Well than this place is a must ! My date an I both loved this place. The music an ambiance truly transports you to a different era where class and charisma were king."

  • "You will never experience another restaurant quite like this place. The band is fantastic dinner and dancing! Such a great night."

  • "perhaps one of the most unique restaurants in new york, given its connection and tie-ins with Sleep No More. we went on a sunday night when the restaurant was fairly empty, and though there was a calm energy about the place that immediately made you relax, the underlying buzz of excitement and possibility was unmistakeable. the wait staff were charming and attentive, though sometimes seemed a bit slow on their feet. perhaps that's for the pacing of the whole evening; i don't know. food was delicious, with innovative flavors and combinations, and portions were hearty at the very least, which i always find refreshing in a day when fine dining seems to mean barely eating anything."

  • "Really delicious food from appetizer to full course. But what makes this place stand out is the 1920's ambiance with live jazz and "Actors" walking around in Great Gatsby style attire."

  • "Very nice atmosphere! we loved the staff, nice music, lovely food. We spend a good time."

  • "It's not bad food, and the drinks are fun. The best part of dining here (just drinks is probably most realistic for the pre-show time) is that they give you a secret code ("Say Mr. So-and-so sent you.") for when you're in line later. You, in fact, will get to skip the line and coat check for free. Worth something, especially when it's about 5 degrees outside."

  • "What's not to like? Come for the atmosphere, stay because the food is absolutely delicious. Live jazz band, mingling with characters, beautiful setting, all around fun time. We had the bone marrow, fisherman's pie (best thing on the menu) and bannoffee pie for dessert. A great place to take someone special or out of towners"

  • "My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the Heath. It was definitely a unique NY experience. One that makes NY one of the greatest places in the world. I'm glad to live so close by."

  • "Everything we ordered was fantastic, but the jazzy prohibition ambiance and the fun atmosphere really set this apart. It would be a great place to go just on a regular night out, but coupled with tickets to Sleep No More just cannot be beat."

  • "We dined here before checking into the Mckittrick hotel for our Saturday tickets for Sleep No More. The food is great...I'd recommend the pork chop & the service was attentive but not over bearing. If you are checking into the hotel, I'd definitely recommend going to The Heath before, as it only enhances your experience!"

  • "They limit the number of people who can come up, so it wasn't too crowded. The drinks were great, the food was better. They had actors that had a couple tiny bits... which were a little bit cheesy, but I still enjoyed the whole thing. Great!"

  • "Have never done Sleep no More, but The Heath gave a small enough dose of theater with our excellent dinner than we are now looking forward to going soon. Great atmosphere, live jazz (not too loud), excellent food (meat pies and pork chop!!), and a laid back, fun vibe with some tricks and surprises throughout the night. Kept the group talking. We had a wonderful time!"

  • "My boyfriend and I came to celebrate a late Valentines day, and we had a blast. We went to Sleep No More on our first date, so this was sort of brining us back to that time. The environment is very 1920/30's speakeasy. There are private train cars to sit in and live jazz music. The food was incredible. We shared scallops and the steak. All cooked to perfection. Our favorite part was when my bf was asked to take a phone call, was lead into a private room and was told not to enter the lottery we had entered. He was given an amulet of safety and returned later. Then I won that lottery. I was led, blindfolded into another room where I ate dessert with some random women in a strobe lit room, and was given a ring that was in the dessert."

  • "I very often visit The McKittrick Hotel, but this was my first dining experience at The Heath. I was thrilled. The pork chop was delectable, and the service is better here than almost anywhere else I've been. The staff are always willing to engage their customers. We even had a quick visit from chef RL King. It far exceeded expectations."

  • "We were there to celebrate my two nieces' birthdays. Had a wonderful time. Loved the live band. We are big fans of everything that happens at the McKittrick hotel and therefore loved the characters who walk up to people and engage in conversation. The food was very good especially the beef & ale pie and our server was very nice. However, on a Sunday night when there were so many open tables we were seated at a "tucked away" sort of table. I wish that they had given us a better table that would have enabled us to watch the band. They were great. All in all, we had a great time and will definitely go back sooner than later."

  • "I love this place and so did my date. The service was great, the band was great, the food...we had the mini pork pies which were delicious, we also order the terrine board which fell a little short. Other than that....GREAT time. I'll definitely be going back...just not for the terrines."

  • "Why, with such great fare, interesting environment and talented musicians, do they create a Chuck E. Cheese environment? Adult New Yorkers don't want the kitsch. Toss the "experience" and offer a wonderfully elegant supper club and the city will beat a path to your door."
    Dined on 2/5/2014
  • "Great date location. Excellent cocktail menu. A bit pricy for the portion sizes- got the cauliflower entree and it was more like a snack sized appetizer. The persimmon salad was very fresh and my favorite part of the meal. The rest was standard fare- nothing to really write home about but you're really paying for the ambiance."

  • "Amazing dining experience Great jazz band and if you're one of the chosen few to have someone pick you out during the meal, makes it even better!"

  • "Walking off the quiet elevator into the music-filled dining room made for an excellent mood setter for the experience. Whereas the food was all delicious (especially the cheese plate, the turnip-apple soup, and the desserts), as were the cocktails, the atmosphere is what really set this night out from others."

  • "Not entirely sure what to expect at first. The food was excellent. Service and ambience were lovely. The music was wonderful. That my husband was taken to a secret place by one of the characters was wild. Great overall experience."

  • "Went to this cute themed restaurant the other night for dinner. Service was excellent and attentive. Food was good, but, heavy. Avoid the beef pie(not much beef, too much pie). Overall a nice place to take friends from out-of-town or if you want to go out to a place with a lovely jazz band playing."
